Watch a full tutorial as a Mazda CX-7 will have a new Pioneer Double Din radio installed. We will be using the Pioneer AVH-1400NEX touch screen bluetooth radio. This radio features Apple Carplay while retaining the factory BOSE sound system.

This video applies to Mazda CX-7 models for years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Note: 2010-2012 features a slightly different dash bezel, but the install will be just the same. This video also includes complete radio wiring, complete installation, and testing.

how did you hook up the rca cables .

@@ProvoBeastAudio I only have L and R channels from my head unit should. I split each channel but I'll loose balance adjustment
For anyone that DOES NOT have the BOSE system: If you hooked everything up, and the radio turns on and functions, but the audio sounds "flat, static-ey" and has "no bass" AND the EQ settings dont work on your new radio. What you wanna do is cut off the RCA audio connectors, separate the two wires for each; Front Left, Rear Left, Front Right and Rear Right, and then just wire the speaker wires one by one like installations without the RCA connectors. The audio should be louder, crisper, and the EQ settings should work. If you dont know if you have BOSE or not, just open the trunk and lift the plastic cover that hides your spare wheel. If you dont have a silver looking box screwed underneath the Driver side back seat, then you dont have BOSE system. Should have wires connected to it and all. That was also my problem because i THOUGHT i had BOSE, because the Factory radio had "BOSE" settings only available to vehicles with it, but my CX-7 didnt have a BOSE fuse, nor BOSE Amplifier in trunk area. So just be sure to find out if you have BOSE or not. hope this helps anyone with same issue.

Idk if you’re still active but i have a question. The original stereo has the smaller harnesses attached to it. I see you put the big harness (white) into the new harness (orange). What did you do with the other smaller harnesses (white)
As far as the steering wheel controls. Does the phone control options still work with new radio?
I recently change out my factory radio with steering control wiring as well. The volume up/down works but the answer/end calls buttons no longer are functional. Is that normal?
If my cx 7 mazda doesn't have the answer call on the steering wheel will the pioneer avh 14000 still work for my car?

I guess they changed the radio style from 2011 to 2012 cause my radio is completely different.

hello change the radio for an android, with original harness ... turn on and the control at the wheel works. but the bose audio does not turn on with which cable do you turn on the amplifier? help

You can use the same parts and they will work fine.
Are u able to itemise the things that u have used so I can buy exactly that to make this work. I have a Mazda 2008 CX-7 ER series 1 that I want to install the android system to with reversing camera functionality as well.

Hi mate, I have a Pioneer double din installed in my CX7 and all was working fine until the battery was replaced during service, now the steering wheel controls dont work. I can manually go into the setting and re-sync/program "with adapter" and it all works fine until the car is turned off. When its restarted the controls no longer work again. Any ideas?
I bought a 2012 CX7 4 years ago (2017) it didn't have Bluetooth so the dealership install a deck with Bluetooth. The issue when they installed the deck, it reset my kilometers from 158k down to 15k. Now I'm sure some would say that's great. But it is illegal to do that. Would you know why and or how to reset my kilometers back to where it should be 264400kl. Thank you in advance
The dealership factory software should be able to do it.

I did this install, but with Pioneer AVH-2550. I have no sound, any clues why?
Did you use the wiring kit he uses in the video? I used a cheaper basic one at first and had full power but no sound. You need the kit he uses to get power from stock speaker amp
You most likely have the Bose system. That system needs to be triggered on when the new radio is installed, so be sure to hook up the blue / white wire to your new radio.

Okay so I put the radio in and I didn’t get a camera, so when it power on it says no signal detected in the rear camera HELPPP
Sounds like either 1 - camera isn't getting power, or 2 - there is an issue with the video RCA cable.
