I own a FiST for over a year now and was looking for a new car for a while now. Also drove an M140 xDrive. But handlingwise is the Fiesta with the Recaro seats alot more precise and fun on the twisty roads. The power isnt the big plus point in this car. Its the driving feedback compared with the grippy seats 👌

@ϟϟ White Wolf ϟϟ the point of the fiesta is it is a practical car you can use with out high running cost, you'll never get 50 mpg out of a modded e36, it has modern luxuries, nice infotainment, heated windscreen etc.. its meant for comfortable driving when you want it to, then when you want it to be fast it can be.
I bought my wife one of these (well, bought myself really..) It's an incredible little thing, so much fun to drive i have to admit I love it as much as my M3 and use any excuse to borrow it off the Mrs!

Its amazing we say "only 1100kg" while the fiësta weighed 803kg when i grew up, and was considered "quite heavy for a little car". Safety, comfort and size all grew, ofcourse, but i still like driving light cars with big engines a lot. Or normal cars, with huge engines.

Are these day light flashing or is it due to camera?
It is the camera. LEDs (this type of light) flash very quickly as part of how they work, but too fast for us to see with our eyes. The frequency (the number of times it will cycle on and off every second) of the light is different to the FPS (Frames Per Second) that the camera records at so some of the frames show the LED off and we then see the flashing effect in the video when played back.

if you drive a Fiesta ST, you need a petrol station with you. if you drive normally then it is ok but as soon as you push the gas to the bottom then it is thirsty.
I have a Mk7 (4 Zylinder 1.6L) tuned to neat 210hp from 180. The torque up to 300 from 240. You are right. XD. Normal driving around with nearly 6L on 100km +- a bit. When you kick down or drive a bit more sport like it's goes up. I have all around my drive ways. Town, over land, German autobahn with not speedlimit. I am balanced by 8 to 8.4L on 100km. It's okay for the little rocket.
@@cliffy1014 on this day i have my mk8 for 1 year, average fuel consuption, 9.5 on 100kms :/ car is still stock, thats the only reason i doubt about chipping it. must say that i also can hit 700kms on a gas tank if i really need to.

my mk8.5 ST has an average of 8.2L per 100km, with spirited driving

ATE Continental Freins à disque avants ATE Continental qui équipent la Fiesta nouvelle neuve actuelle:voyez ,où plutôt écouter ce qui se passe lorsqu'on freine,en terminaison de freinage,c'est assourdissant,à croire qu'il n'y a pas de garniture et que cela frotte plaquette sans garniture contre disque sonore(c'est tout le temps de l'année,depuis le premier jour d'achat). Après +20 000kms maintenant,les crissements de tôle en terminaison de freinage sont toujours làl .Mais ceci n'est pas sans conséquence pour Ford,car à cause de ces ATE Continental,autour de moi,plus personne ne veut prendre une Ford neuve.Qui voudrait avoir,à vie,une voiture qui fait un tel bruit.

And that 5k number in itself isn't true. A new FiST can be had for around 23k while the FoST is about 31k, both cars fully loaded. That's an 8k, or 35% difference, which is large.

Back to the argument at hand. I called you out for bullshitting the prices and for pretending like a 5k difference is nothing, nothing more nothing less. I didn't attack your choice of car and I never said the Focus is bad.
In fact given a choice I'd get the Focus too, but that's because I can afford it. If I couldn't the Fiesta is a valid choice as well, and it's actually better in some aspects than the Focus, including smile per dollar. That was the whole point. Is it really surprising that it's worse in some aspects than a car which is more than 1/3rd more expensive?
You don't need to justify your choice to random internet people, just have fun. That's what the car is all about. If you were out to listen to random 'enthusiasts' on the internet you'd come to think Audis are the most fun cars around, but the reality is a bit different 😂

- 11k EUR in Germany
- 8k EUR in the UK (converted from GBP)
- 9k EUR in Romania
- 15k EUR in the NL
