Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Always lovely to see some fellow Aussies. Not many of us with large families, actually. It seems like in the U.S, everything is big and bulk, so smaller families have to adapt….meanwhile, I’m always happy when I can find a bulk pack of anything 😂

Haha, I was, actually! The kids put everything away for me though, and only today, almost a week later, did I actually sort the pantry out. But it gets done eventually, so that’s the main thing 😆

Thank you for watching! 😊 That’s a good way to think about it - $8 day, inc. toiletries and household products. Not bad, really. Still, the cost of groceries has increased a lot in the last year or so….but I try to shop the best deals so that I don’t notice it as much 😆

Thank you so much, Theresa! 😀 It actually surprises me how quickly it all gets eaten and also how quickly two weeks rolls round and then it’s time to do it all again 😆 Very grateful to be able to get groceries to keep the family healthy and happy though. I am trying to get ahead with things that last a bit longer, but it’s not as easy these days with such price hikes! Hopefully one day soon I can start filling the deep freezer again, too. 🙂

Thank you very much! Haha - honestly, after filming the grocery haul, I’m just grateful that the kids put it all away 😄 When I wasn’t filming, I’d spend that time putting things away neatly. But there are only so many hours so, ironically, now I film the extra mess 😂

Another great haul Liana! I'm glad you bought silverbeet (we call it swiss chard in the US). It reminded me that we haven't had some in a while so put it on our grocery list. My husband had a heart attack in May so our diet has changed a lot! Lots more fruits and veggies, no processed foods, very little salt, sugar and fat (no more fried chicken). :( He's doing great though and we're liking the new way of eating. You're getting ready for summer by buying the icy pops. We're getting ready for winter which I dread. We live three hours north of New York City so we do get snow and it can get quite cold. Not as cold though where I was born and raised in Canada thank goodness. Look forward to your next haul. Take care.
Thank you, Gloria. I’m so glad your husband is doing great now - that is such a scary experience. I’ve had a family member go through the same thing (and 9 years later they’re doing great, too!). Isn’t it amazing how quickly a change in diet can give one so much more vitality? I need to increase my protein and water intake…so easy to neglect, but makes such a difference. The silverbeet recipe I make as a side is just chopped silverbeet (obvs 😆), olive oil, garlic, lemon rind and juice, and walnuts (or crushed almonds). I sauté it all in a cast iron pan and the flavours are gorgeous! Take care x

Another great haul!!! We love those take outs chicken for easy fake away meals too, except i didnt realise the orange bag is spicy! It says hot on the corner, but its easily missed. 😂 my partner was happy, i was sweating lol.
Thank you! Ah, yes - we’ve tried them both and I couldn’t remember which one was spicy. A few little people may need to take the crumbs off 😅 Most of them are good with spice, thankfully.
