So you know that cut scene where you find something hidden in Pierre's room? Thanks to the Japanese translation, we know what that is: bug-out money. He's getting ready to just dump Caro and Abi at a moment's notice. F-tier.
I mean, maybe...But it's still a translation of the game, sure, it's official, but I don't think they got extra info for it, as it would ruin the cutscene (as the "joke" of it is that we don't know what the secret stash is), but rather, it was a decision made by the japanese translators (maybe there isn't a word for "secret stash" in japanese, of for some reason they didn't want to imply a character would have hidden pot or porn)
Only good Pierre has done is one-punch Morris so hard he got launched out the ceiling like Team Rocket
Gus is God tier.
He gives you food for free. Recipes for free. And finally, he gives you a mini music box you can put in your house and set any music you want to play at your house. Scratch that! You can actually put whatever music you want in any farm building on your farm, since he also gives you blueprints for the mini music box.
Also he's so kind to everyone, he gives Linus food, because he doesn't want anyone in town to be hungry. When Pam isn't paying off her tab, he doesn't want to even confront her, even though the saloon is suffering financially because of this.
Also that heart event with the sauce.
I wish Italians were real.
I would love to elect Gus for Mayor or even run for Mayor as we do serve so much of the community. Lewis organises the community gatherings and collects the taxes but as shown by his gold statue and leaving the bus fall off order, and never trying to help Pam or make sure Linus has food in this small of a community... He cares but it's time for change, also in what world making right by Marnie would diminish his authority??
Loved the video, agree so much, Robin has the hammer of Thor for creating, the houses are incredible and she needs three days? Magic.
Lewis is F-tier. Misappropriates town funds from improving the town and instead builds a gold statue of himself. A LITERAL vanity project. Refuses to go public with Marnie, despite the fact that they're both single, because it would somehow "undermine his authority." He's the worst. Pierre is also F-tier. If he was successful enough to open up a second shop, and then kept going, he would become Joja.
I never had a problem with Clint. He's a hard working but lonely guy who has problems expressing his feelings. Every guy has been Clint at least at one point in their life, and I think the game just gives us a snapshot into a low point in his life. If the NPCs were allowed to be more dynamic and move forward with their own stories, I think He'd eventually get more of his life together. I'd rank him as a C at worst.
Mayor Lewis, however, I cannot stand. Gigantic F. Clint just pines for Emily but does no harm. Lewis has been stringing Marnie along for years and years, and she's obviously lonely and hurting from his dickishness about keeping things secret and not marrying her. Plus he's rude, doesn't mind his own business, has been siphoning funds and gold from the town to build a statue of himself. Seriously, screw that guy.
I have a problem with Clint and I wish I didn't. I appreciate he being hardworking, I understand he being lonely and unsatisfied with his life, but way he gives up on Emily if you are just good friends with her, congratulating only you, tells you 'I hear Emily has a friend in the Desert, I wonder if she's single' when he doesn't even know Sandy's name, and gets flustered over your voice on the phone if you are playing a girl and makes the movies a date even when you are married... It's just not comfortable. And it's a situation a lot of people been in so of course they resent him for bringing real memories back.
Though I still wish he was given some development and found happiness similar to Shane.

I wish we could adopt Leo and marry Willy 😭😭😭 the perfect family, I don't like that the baby is with Linus, he's in my F tier for that (and a couple more things lol)

Clint is one of my favourites, I would marry him if I could ;__; Shy and awkward like me, but a total sweetheart, every time I talk with him I'm like "mood, me too".

Your bias is obvious. Some judgements are very skewed almost to the point of being insulting.
I would try this again after learning the lore of all the npcs after completing all the 14 hearts events (from a male/female starting character, it hits differently... with alot more data you are missing!)
Some of your choices require lateral movement (and others need vertical adjustment for justifiable reasons).
Ptsd and biased experiences aside... being objective in a rating system is helpful for your audience.
Have you read all the secret notes? 23 of them after doing the Krobus event I n winter? Magnifying glass 🔍?

Joja and Morris aren't that bad. I think people get caught up in what they're supposed to represent, and not what's actually presented in-game. Because in-game they do nothing but help the town. Are they motivated by profit? Sure. But not to a greedy or destructive extent like Pierre or Lewis. Those two are not only greedy, but lazy and incompetent as well. Morris is at least hard working and intelligent.
I see what you’re saying, but I’ll never get over seeing a skeleton in a Joja cubicle in the opening cutscene. Also, Morris poaches customers from inside Pierre’s store.
It is heavily implied that Joja is there to take over the economy of the valley and exploit its natural resources such as the woods, the mines and the fish of the ocean.
That isn't purely an "evil" goal, depending on your perspective. It would bring a lot of economic activity to the town which is struggling with unemployment and lack of funds, and the lives of the residents would likely improve at least in the material sense.
However, the point of view/message of the game is that untouched nature and people living in harmony with it rather than exploiting it are valuable things. There is magic in nature (literally in the game's case) which will be lost if the city folk bring their industry and commerce to the valley. From that point of view the Joja corporation is the enemy and therefore worse than the likes of Pierre and Lewis - they are greedy and corrupt but not actively trying to bring down the traditional ways of the valley
