As a new mom something someone told me that really stuck with me was “people have the right to live a kid free life but they don’t have right to live in a kid free world”. I had to learn that as long as I’m doing all I can to take care of my baby, keep them happy and they are healthy and safe, the rest is out of my control. Babies and kids will be kids and they cry and wiggle and get frustrated too. I know it’s hard but don’t worry about other people! You guys are doing great and I hope you see this and it comforts you a little bit!

Our second was a surprise and it was so emotional in the beginning but now we have 2 happy amazing little boys that I wouldn’t trade for the world, Abby thank you for being honest about your reaction it helped me feel so much more validated and not like a bad mom just because I wasn’t super excited like I was for our first.
Same, I had my son and literally 3-4 weeks later I found out I was pregnant with my last daughter, they are 11 months apart.. I also have 3 older daughters..

I had my 2nd as a surprise too, he was a spontaneous baby, as noted on my medical records, lol. Anyway, my 1st & 2nd are only 14 & a half months apart, Both boys and I'm so glad they have eachother. Especially when I had them before COVID even existed, and they had eachother throughout the lockdowns, everything happens for a reason. My eldest is a social butterfly and my second one is the opposite, so they compliment eachother so much and don't clash as much, Thank God.
