On A Bass “BUZZ”! Bass Fishing Hocking Hills State Park Ohio (Rose Lake)

- Today we fished Rose Lake in the hocking hills. I used a 3/8 oz buzz bait and 3/8oz spinnerbait the entire trip! Chrystal clear waters and beautiful largemouth!

My favorite place in Ohio I got the biggest bluegill out of that lake

There are tens of thousands of Springs in that area of Ohio so that's why the water is so clear. You can dip your head and drink the water straight from the Stream. In quite a few areas. Just find a starting point from a spring percolating through the ground at a high rate of speed. Don't drink Downstream from a town. My aunt had a swimming area where water was coming out of the ground at 40°-50°f. I drank straight from the stream as a kid because it was so delicious and cold. Never once did I feel sick.

Thanks man! I figured I’d give it a shot. The place was closed for covid so there hasn’t been much pressure! I like to stick to white chartreuse or black when I’m bass fishing no matter what. Seems to be my confidence colors. I was very surprised they were on that buzz bait so hard. Especially like you said in that clear of water hitting a big spinnerbait.

Nice day with some good top water action! Down here in Texas the top water has been a tough bite...for me at least. I am sure the 100 plus degree weather is not helping haha! Buzz bait is possibly my favorite lure of all time. Simple and so fun when they blow it up!
I agree with you! I love throwing them when the bite is on. It’s been very hot here too. When I say hot it’s 86-89. Luckily not 100!

This must be a nice area for Bass fishing. My local Reservoir is boring, because I think the Bass population is pretty much gone and no one seems to catch em out there anymore. May need to stop out here sometime.....

DC Fishing I’m not sure yet. I’ve been looking at different ones. There is one around 450$ and then there is another one that is 250$ that is the cheapest one. I have a pond that I have permission to fish that I know has many 5 and 6lb bass in it. Only way to fish it is with a kayak.

Yep! I know it I’m going to look at them again this week and decide! It is just starting to get so freakin hot. It’s in the 90’s everyday and humidity makes it in the 105’s degrees. I wish I would have got a kayak 2 months ago. I could have made some awesome videos.

Nice video! I prefer to lock my drag all the way down for the strongest hook set possible on anything except light wire treble hooks.
I know what you mean. I was having a issue with breaking my line on my fluoro leader..so I had to loosen the drag some. I only use 6-10 pound

Baitcasters work much better throwing a buzzbait, spinnerbaits,faster moving baits. Plus better gear ratio
