Like the head to head competition with Israel. B you're going to be a helluva drop shot fisherman, more for your arsenal. Can't argue with either technique for the conditions and lake cover. Very fun, very effective. Blessings brother
Appreciate it man! I’m gonna start expanding on this technique for sure. The frog is another skill set that I need to polish up on.
I like the drop shot for getting numbers but nothing like the feeling of a frog bite. Interesting hook choice on the drop shot too. i need to try that.
Yea the numbers are there but you can get some bigguns to bite too! That hook has been excellent in grass
That's how I do it in the grass too. I use a 1/0 ewg for 4 in stuff. And a 3/0 offset worm hook 6 in and up
Glad you're doing videos on drop-shots. I have also started using it recently. Pretty fun and not too hard to understand the do's and don'ts.
I feel like it’s gonna come into play a lot here in the next few bkft events. Simple and effective. I’m all for it
Thank you for the video!
Food for thought: tried the your drop shot set up at Kiser Lake this afternoon. Nothing work until I put on a Yum dinger pumpkin seed green worm. Right away 1st fish shredded the worm and came off.
2nd way bigger fish ran under structure while i was grabbing the net. Bent the hook and came off. Both at 10ft of water. That should work on the BKFT Classic.
Congrats on tourny today. Not to spoil your upcoming video. I'lll be waiting on it.
Thanks for all the support man!!! I actually caught some at Mosquito on the drop shot with a Nikko leech.
@@thecreekcrawler Cool, I'll be waiting for the video. Didn't pick up anything at the Nikko booth , good stuff. I will this February at the Columbus Expo.
The pontoon boat was edging closer and closer I guess to see what you were using LOL. I enjoy Israel's content on Instagram and Tik Tok. But I still can't wait for your next post. Keep your rod bent!
Funny story actually. A guy on the pontoon hooked and lost a decent LMB and as I was making my way around the Lilly pads I hooked one somewhat close to them. He told me he let it go so I could catch it 😂
@@thecreekcrawler Totally different than the Lake St Clair encounter!😂
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing another great adventure. You had some really nice catches. Fun to watch! Keep up the good work my friend! Looking forward to more great content and adventures. And as always, #TheCreekCrawler rocks!!!
Fun video Bryan, the dropshot looks like a technique you're going to be able to add as a go-to ,really nice catches in the grass ! Thanks for sharing 🎣🙂
Well I would say you got some more confidence in the drop shot lol. That other guy was using the booyah pad crasher which is my favorite frog. That looked like an awesome place to fish with a good healthy population of nice bass. 👊👍
Yea I’m getting pretty confident at this point. I have about 25-30 catches on it now. Enough to rig up for a derby. Lake Logan is a good bass fishery especially in the spring!
Hey creek crawler if you go to the marina out at lake logan and you see the big tunnel going under the road i heard that there is a pretty good crappie spot on the other side at that little pond
I catch more fish on the drop shot than anything else I use. It's the best!!!
I’m sorta like you. I’ve rarely used less than 12# fluorocarbon for my dropshot. Maybe if I were ever around spooky, pressured fish in ultra clear water, I might change my mind, but I’ve yet to see a point in going any further down in line size.
I fish way too much heavy cover to fish anything else honestly. If I go off shore to open water I’m sure I will go down a bit. Thanks for watching!
its better to fish a drop shot casting it out like a crankbait but fish it back to you like a texas rig
There are so many ways to fish it. I really like vertical fishing over structure piles or fishing gaps in the vegetation like in the video.
Great video! Can you tell me what hook ( brand and size ) you were using? Thanks
That is a trokar worm hook. Size 2 I believe! It’s been a solid hook and I have been sticking them good with it
Do you mean the light wire finesse worm hook and size 2/0? I don't see them in size 2 on Tackle Warehouse.
How do you base how far you leave your weight under the worm each time?
I typically stay around 12 inches or so. My goal is to keep my worm above the grass on the bottom
Does dropshot work with shore fishing?
I think it can in certain situations. Fishing from a dock or stew banks it should work great! I feel like super shallow ponds or lakes you can find a better option like a big worm or something
@@thecreekcrawler thanks for the reply I appreciate the input and the tips you provide.
Are you sure it's summer? You're dressed like it February
About that lol… I wear clothes head to toe and looking for lighter breathable options if you have any. I absolutely hate sun screen
I wish I did. I'm in shorts and t-shirts and getting a little burnt lol
@@jamesburrows336 yea I would literally turn into a lobster and be messed up for a few days lol
Great video Bryan.
