This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted my pivot table to auto update and it wasn't doing that. I saw people using VBA to do that in Excel spreadsheets and I thought I had to use Google APP Script to make it work. I was overthinking the problem.Thank you very much. Subscribed!
You don't need VBA to do this in Excel.

Thank you for the helpful video and instructions!
I wonder if you really need the SORT function, since the "combined" sheet is being hidden, and the Filter in the Pivot Table is filtering out the blanks anyway. A minor point.
Thank you once again - greatly appreciated.
Very nice, Thanks. Question: could you do a tutorial on using the ampersand in various function structures like this one ( =Filter(D5:D10,B5:B10&C5:C10=F5&G5) ) that finds a value from multiple lookup values? I think there's more to all this than just this example. Again Thanks!
Excellent video you have made. Thank you. I am giving you a like and subscribing to your channel. I hope you have video on your channel about pivot table formatting, so that it looks beautiful and easy to understand.
In this pivot playlist which video should we watch first? Thanks a lot for making helpful videos
This video is awesome. Thank you! I have a question though. If one of my tabs is missing one of the columns that I'm trying to combine how can I insert a "default" constant for that missing data?
Thank you, this is super useful!
Is it possible to do the same thing but when the source files are not tabs, but a different file?
worked
Спасибо большое! Это гениально
Thank You!
12:33, is there any automated way such as excel power query ? yeah i know, google sheets doesn't have power query, but i just hope there is one. because i want to combine multiple sheets with so many different column, so it's hard to sort same column one by one.
I love you.
Little Update for non-Americans:
Depending on the keyboard layout, you might need to use \BACKSLASH\ instead of ,comma, to specify ranges to be placed horizontally to each other.
I was clawing my eyes out for a couple hours wondering why this guide just didn´t work for me, until this link gave me the answer to my issue: infoinspired.com/google-docs/spreadsheet/use-curly-brackets-to-create-arrays-in-google-sheets/

@@ExcelGoogleSheets Oooh nice, ty for showing me. googling all kinds of related word combinations never produced any viable results for me, I´m happy I already know what ! and $ usually do... I guess I could spend the rest of the Summer of ´Rona only watching your videos but there´s so much else to do. Definitely gonna bookmark your channel though :)
Thank you!!! this worked for me too :)
Can we perform two-way editing? i.e. edit in the combined table and it automatically shows in source file?
Hi, another question... please send a link from your videos to create a template. thanks
How can I combine data of multiple sheets with their respective sheet name also in a column.
Hi. The tutorial is awesome. Thanks, it is really helpful. Just wanted to learn one more thing that's if I want to see the subtotal by the month how can I do that? Please let me know. Thanks.
Right click on dates in the pivot table and Create Group.
Will you be adding this video (and the one from last week) to your 'Pivot Tables in Google Sheets - Beginner to Advanced Tutorials' playlist? I share that playlist with others as part of my employment :) Thanks!!
If I find where it's done :) This new CZcams dashboard is not easy to navigate.
Hi, Sir
We need an information google spreadsheet. If someone makes an entry there, how can we know what time it is entried (actually we need to know what time it is done) Please advise us suggetions
Can we make pivot from different spreadsheet (workbook) ?
I'm doing exactly the same thing in a new sheet until 2:00 of the video and after I hit ENTER, I'm getting Formula parse error. what could be? Version maybe??
I am doing the same thing until 2:00 and it is only transferring the first tab in the array, the other info from 3 tabs is not included.
A lot better way to create the combined tab: use the formula query()
how to use it? I tried but it doesn't work
Thanks for sharing! Could you please kindly share the other method to remove blank cells? Cause the sort function kinda messes up my arrangements of cells

@@ExcelGoogleSheets Thanks so much!!!
Hi, when I add in "=SORT( )" it only sorts the column, but not with the rows? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please help.
can you upload a sample completed document
Hey thanks for the vid but it seems the coma dosent work anymore is there a new way of doing it?
It does work czcams.com/video/ljvB2arCsNQ/video.html
after inserting ={ , i tried to select the Partial 1 data, error message appears,... can please help me?
When i use SORT function, it's came Blanks in Top, not bottom. Please suggest
how can i remove the blanks cell while using the Sort function? please help anyone?
This is exactly what I was looking for, however I have tried on numerous accounts to create the array formula by your instructions and it is not working. Please help
czcams.com/video/ljvB2arCsNQ/video.html
Summary: Helper Column
I got the error - Function ARRAY_ROW parameter 2 has mismatched row size. Expected: 3881. Actual: 997.; Can you help with this, please.?
I need help, I not sure why the 2nd data range (next to the first ;) is not returning. The array {} formula only returns the 1st sheet but not the 2nd.
Is it possible you just have a lot of blank rows in the middle and it seems like it's not returning it?
Also, make sure you watch this czcams.com/video/ljvB2arCsNQ/video.html
I keep getting an error. Will it work with data validation?
"Error
Array result was not expanded because it would overwrite data in C9.
Invalid:
Input must be a valid date
me too
mr alternatives
Can anyone find my error? Formula is below. Data only displaying from 1st sheet, not both. columns match on both if that's relevant.
={'Task List'!A2:A,'Task List'!B2:B,'Task List'!C2:C,'Task List'!E2:E;'Tasks One Off'!A2:A,'Tasks One Off'!B2:B,'Tasks One Off'!C2:C,'Tasks One Off'!E2:E}
i cant make the combined sheets, the formula of =(rowX,... comes up with #ERROR, it says formula parse error
{ not (
@@ExcelGoogleSheets thanks
