Hi there, my name is Henry Tenby, I’m the creator of the JetFlix TVaviation streaming service, and I recently had the great pleasure of visiting the Manchester airport runway visitor park (RVP). This is a wonderful destination for both aviation fans and families alike where everyone can enjoy the open air park-like setting, watching airplanes as well as being able to have a tour of the British Airways Concord, or enjoy a family meal in the park’s café. There’s a special elevated hill area that allows viewers to see the aircraft above the fence line which makes it perfect for Avgeeks, and those interested in taking video and photography of the planes. Niels and I were very happy to meet you too Paula and it was a really fun weekend. Yes YVR should definitely take note .. that was my focus in making the video as I hope that they can see what a wonderful job has been done at Manchester Airport. And such efforts could be easily replicated at YVR with similar success and support from the community.
I'm so very jealous of Manchester Airport and all the spotting amenities they have there. Thanks for the tour Henry, I knew about the park by the fence but had no idea about the elevated spotting platform! YVR listen up!
This is exactly why I made the video Venkman7 was so people at YVR and other airports could be inspired to offer this kind of facility and all the benefits that it brings.
