Top tip no.1 - rag your car as hard as it will go
Amen
Thanks for using demonstration clips. Very helpful. For example showing the oil dipstick.
Thank you very much for uploading this video. So important and useful to know.
Love these first car/ new driver videos!!! I'd love to see a "Things you should do when you get your first car" video! I'll be 17 soon so i'll be learning to drive!! :)
Thank you! That's a great idea. Good luck with the learning
I passed my test a year ago and your videos still help me in my driving, only discovered this channel yesterday and it's quickly become one of my favourites for driving!
Thank you!
The part about checking the fluid levels is so important. After I bought my first car, it was a few days before I remembered that I had to do that and I'm glad I did. There was literally a drop of oil left. I was lucky I didn't have to drive during those first few days (except driving it home) because I'm sure that I would have broken down. You can definitely hear a diffence between a car with plenty of oil and virtually none.
Hey man, thanks for all the tips, passed my test recently 1st time! Love the channel, keep up the good work!!!!
thanks for making this video as requested! Perfectly executed👌👌
Thank you man! Really appreciate that
I'll definitely take these tips on board! 👊💜
my instructor new i drove a scooter for last 7 years and took my cbt every 2years and def he said my observations were excellent when i did take my test (last week i passed with one minior :)
CBT is totally worth it. I done it before my test and it deffo helped with my driving test. Sounds funny but riding a motorcycle will make you a better car driver!!
100% agree, i did my CBT in 2016 and having that makes you a more cautious and safer driver!! since your safety is already in question 10x more than when you jump in your car
congrats on 8k man been watching for a while now. great stuff!
Thank you bro!
Literally passed last week and needed something like this 🎉
Thumbs up for you Paynos, you're really making some high quality content on the level of major similar channels.
Your videos got me through the driving lessons I had so far with a lot more fun, thanks for that!
Good luck with your channel and have an awesome day
Thank you man that means a lot.
Appreciate it and you too!
Got my test booked for March so I got time to polish my skills. Once I pass first time (hopefully) I'll definitely come back to this video! Keep up the good work man!
Thank you and good luck on the test!
i really love your empathy :-) good video, thank you!
You posting some quality stuff!
Passed today. Good tips in this vid. Thanks bro.
I have just come across your videos and have found them very useful. i have my test in 4 days. as i am extremely busy i have struggled to find time to learn all the high way code. hope this doesn't let me down
Excellent video ! Really enjoyed it!
Well done on 8k! You deserve it another amazing video!
Appreciate it man :)
Really helpful tips, thank you 😊
I passed my test last Tuesday and this video has helped so much!
Congratulations and thanks for watching :)
Congrats on 8k subs! I've been here for a while, always learning as I take my lessons! Best of luck for the future!
Thank you man! You too :)
woow good job man. You deserve more subs
thanks paynos, good video!
Hey Paynos - awesome job! Congratulation on passing 10K and on your way to 11K. I'm going to hit 10K for my B-day in May!! I like the fact that you started with tires. I bought top of the line Michelins last year for my vehicle, and after taking off the steel studded snow tires, those Michelins are like driving on a dream. Sorry, I know know those tires are French, but they make good tires. I took a skid pad course in a lorry - it was a lot of fun and learned heaps. The most important thing I learned: "a locked or spinning wheel always leads!" In other words, you can lose control by over-accelerating, -braking, and -steering. One point I would add is following distance - maintain a following distance of 2-3 seconds minimum. That point goes with your excellent blind spot point and your discussion about lorries. Thanks again - all the best mate. Cheers Rick PS - video note - when you over lay a picture, reduce the opacity of the main video and add a drop shadow to the image - it makes the picture stand out. Cheers
Cheers for the kind words Rick! Impressed the work you've been putting on your channel too, keep it up lad.
Hi Paynos - thank you for your kind words. Congratulations on hitting 11,000. All the best, my friend. Cheers Mate
Next do "how to adjust your side mirrors for maximum view" becuase this topic makes alot of accidents in autostrad lanes
great vidz Paynos, road to 10k :D
Hey! Found your vids while searching for some tutorials.. Tomorrow is my third lesson. Awesome man (:
Thanks for watching and good luck on the lessons man!
8k subs congrats happy for you :)
Thank you!
Great Video, really interesting hearing you talk about motorways, i myself have just driven to santapod, had to go on m25, then M1, and you really have to keep your concentration on all the time. look forward to your next video, ive subscribed to your channel, you are really very interesting. the only criticism i had was i wouldnt have suggested using a 20p coin to check tread depth, you should really recommed a proper depth gauge, as you said and i totally agree, tires are really important.
Thank you! I agree with you on getting a proper tyre gauge if possible, never an exact guide with the 20p thing just a rough way for people to be able to tell if their tyres are on the low side :)
good vid bro keep it up
2nd day of driving I had a full car of friends and ended up on the m25 😂😂
Thanks for this video, just passed my test last week :)
No worries, congrats on passing!
Thanks dude, I passed my test a few days back, this has helped 😃
Congrats on passing!
please do a video on show me tell me questions as my test is very soon!!!
Thanks for the tips!!
Thanks for watching :)
Passed my test 5 years ago but I've never owned a car. I start taxi driving next week and I must admit I'm kinda nervous! I know it's a bad idea...I've ridden my motorbike as a food courier for the past year and I feel like my forward planning is pretty good, hope all goes well
i watch all your videos, nice reviews ! about talking on phone or facebook texting etc, better use a HUD system for car ,dont you think is ok ? :D it helps and you are focused on road ,can't wait to buy this fury
amazing tips .. subscribed
Thank you!
Just passed my test and got my first car a 1.2 Ibiza, got you to thank partly for that so glad I got it over a polo. Keep up the great vids.
Congrats on passing and good choice for first cars man! Appreciate it, drive safe
got my test in 2 hours exactly, hoping to pass!
Passed my test a months ago 😀, picking my car today and I'm little nervous 😬 ...
I passed my test on the first attempt yesterday!
just passed my test today with only 1 minor :) your videos really helped thankyou :)
Congratulations on passing! One minor is really well done.
Paynos cheers :)
Hands down doing your CBT helps when driving a car. Makes you fully aware of presence on the road, and also being forced to travel within the speed limit. Same thing with track experience too, I think it's really important for people to know the limits of their car
Definitely man, need some more CZcamsr track days haha
I'll give you a big fat tip paynos ;)
:^)
The subs are insane recently, good job! got my test in 3 and a bit weeks, your stuff has reassured me a lot
btw what to do when your tire explodes on the road and your far from your house and don't have a spare one?
Where did you go for track driving?
hey hi i have a doubt, so while im overtaking a vehicle in 100kmphr speed in 5th gear, so for a pickup can i change in to 4th gear n raise the accelarator more to overtake the vehicle ? is it safe to do like that?
Can I recommend you to organize the videos a bit? Don´t know if I can express this well, but it would be so helpful for the viewer if they could fast forward to the next tip or information. If you just split the video a bit...like tip number 1, tip number 2... Sometimes I want to just ¨jump¨ through the video, see all the major points...this is just a tip, honestly and I hope you don´t mind. Take it or leave it;)) I still like the info you put out :D
Tyre pressures in the log book???
How much does a 20 pence piece cost?
Planning on buying lessons when I'm 17 in June I can't wait, thanks for the tips man. I have been receiving shocking quotes on a 1.2 Clio as I live in a high risk area, have you any tips?
Pur. I'm planning on getting lessons in the summer time too. I'm thinking a suzuki swift gls 1.0, still not sure though.
Tom Hornsey Sounds class man, I've been looking at 1.0 lupos aswell but still don't know what insurance will be like on them, it's shocking how much we have to pay as 17 year old for lessons insurance then the car
Your insurance won't go down much until you're 25 you may be in a high risk area but you're always classed as a young dangerous driver to the insurance firms lol
Any advice on overtaking parked cars with cars approaching in the opposite direction?
I'm always worried about my left hand mirrors or crashing into the car thats parked.
iD3JXY Well I know this comment is 10 months old but i'll answer your question anyway. It depends on the situation, how wide the road is and if not you can fit through a gap safely.
9/10 times it's best to slow down on approach to parked cars and if you can fit through a gap with half a doors width I would recommend slow right down to about 10/15 miles per hour so if anything goes wrong you can steer better because your moving slower. I would highly recommend you give way to cars coming at you if parked cars are on your side of the road last thing you need is to meet someone coming at you and you cannot pull back in and you both end up stopping and blocking each other. Finally the words of my instructor and I'll never forget them; "less space, less speed and if any doubt just stop"
Hi Paynos, noob here, could you recommend some track day experiences etc
If you have your own car then something like Goldtrack is worth a look at. If not then MSV and Palmersport experience days are some of the better ones out there! :)
has anyone seen some of the new rules that might be enforced this year? some of them are so extreme.
Irrelevant Q But what part of UK are you from?
Thanks for making quality videos
The south east man! Based around Herts. Appreciate it!
Just had my second lesson and feeling so overwhelmed atm. Trying to watch as many videos as possible. Any others tips from anyone would be useful too! 🥴🥴🥴 help lol
Are you allowed to use your phone if its in a mount on your window? Changing songs, etc.
Haydn G www.gov.uk/using-mobile-phones-when-driving-the-law
Like most of your vids but have you ever drove a lorry ? Most lorrys have a better view then cars and it is provin that 90% of accidents on the motorways between cars and lorrys that the cars were at fault I've always said that when you first pass your test you should be made to drive a 7 1/2 ton lorry down the motorway loaded and see how hard it is to stop when some one in a car ether cuts you up or brakes in front of you and then think what its like to be hauling 40 ton the lorry driver has no chance of stopping so next time you'd on a motorway and passing a artic just think how much weight he mite have on and how would you stop it ill tell you it can be bloody scary driving sometime anyhow that's my rant over you keep the good and not the bad vids coming take it easy 😊
Advanced driving is mandatory in Finland
Should be in the UK too really!
Thanks I'm 17 and I pay £320 on my insurance every year and I have a ford fiesta
I drive for the first time alone today
How did it go?
Paynos really well thanks. I felt more confident than I was thinking I would once I got in my car and set off.
It's somehow weird to watch channels grow when you have more subscribers than them :D I don't want to sound like a douche or anything, it just feels weird lol. Congrats on 8K dude
Haha it's definitely a weird feeling man. Thanks!
@@Paynos funny stuff that guy still has 25k
I know this may sound stupid but how do you know if your car is a front wheel drive or a rear wheel drive?
Does it matter if your car is front or rear wheel drive?
Thanks for the info.
My dad told me today that I should give up driving because he thinks I’m to dangerous to be on the road by myself and he is worried I’m going to have crash it took me 5 times to pass my test and because of that I don’t think I’m a good enough driver myself to be on the road he has been in the car with me for 2 years now and said I should just quit
Pff, those Brits with their funny currency :D For every country using the Euro, like we do here in Germany ^^, use the outer ring of the 2€ coin for checking your tires!
DerDecane yeah but the euro is a failed currency
Need we bring up the Papiermark.
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I'm the queen
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I've tried
Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway
It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I'm free
Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand and here I stay
Let the storm rage on
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway
how many lessons/hours did you do?
Ash I passed first time a few months back on 17 hours of lessons
it's been 3 months after I passed my driving test but I'm really scared to drive; ((((
Get some refresher lessons if you feel like you're nervous! There's no shame in more practice even once you've passed :)
First! Haha sorry ill go away now😥
Well done[]{}#%^*+=_\|~€£¥•'
I have hyundai i10 sports. Can i use ur tricks for this car... Lol wht i am asking😂😂😂😂😂^_^
Lads? Did you just assume my gender?!
I'm male, so you assumed correctly.
David Hax: I sexually identify as a carrot, so I find that very offensive.
As a nonbinary, I find this so funny!
Soooo, what if you're sliding in an awful car?
Same technique applies, just depends whether it is FWD/RWD or AWD. You just might have slightly less of a chance of saving it ;)
hey there! What are your thoughts on the Dacia Logan 75hp ?? If you dont take air conditioning or speakers or anything it goes down to 6990 euros, which is 5990 pounds. Im a 18 yo student from belgium :)
They're great value for money for a new car, but definitely consider having a look on the second hand market too, you can get some awesome cars for around 6k!
having had a crash in a saxo doing doing 60+ mph into a lampost i can tell you crashes hurt. getting taken to hospitol in an amblaunce and having your freind know you as that mug who crashsed. if your lucky like me you will be put on a driver awareness course which will cost you how 100 pound+ if not then your lisence tanken straight from you. end 0f the day seep isnt worth it if your new to driving.
It's not fun man for sure, got to just take your time and be patient whilst learning. Sorry to hear about your crash!
11k subs...
my rear tires look like slicks so I don't drive in the rain because I'm broke and cant afford to get new tires lol
Get some new ones sorted soon man ;)
Pavlo95 I laughed too hard because I have the same issue with the same car😂
Always use the tyres in better conditioin in the back, when you loose traction in the front you can feel it in the steering wheel. When you loose traction in the rear tyres you only notice it when you're already spinning.
ello lads!
Ello!
Lads, 😍😭
would you say thats good and affordable for a first car?
www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201704074185019?atmobcid=soc3
Kasam Clio's are really good first cars but not this one in terms of affordability. 1.4 engine will cost you when it comes to insurance and you also must declare any modifications the car has (this one has a few) which again will affect the insurance quite a bit.
Always one dislike every video LOL
What if it was me disliking them all along
haters will hate..
