    Living here in Jersey 30 minutes from the shore, its one of the few perks to being here. The experience has made me realize just how much i love this state and the people.

    This makes me cry simply because I live in NJ and I am only a 40 minute drive from the beach! What started with my mom taking me here with my younger siblings, to my friends and I going, to my boyfriend and I spending countless times there and calling it our beach. It's just so sad...

    Just watching this makes me sad. I walked on that boardwalk as child and last summer, It will be rebuilt, but like the man said, It will never be the same.

    One thing I have noticed! From the roller coaster in the water to the Ferris Wheel. They don't looked damaged. They really built those rides well. If all around them is gone and they didn't fall apart. They must well engineered .

    Hey Jersey Girl. I'm Patrick in Millville
    There is a God. Don't worry about that. Its sad that people lost their homes and i hope your power gets turned back on soon. The cycles of nature can be devastating sometimes, The beauty of the shore is intoxicating. But even in ancient times people new better then to build a home on the sand. For this exact reason. A house on the sand will be washed into the sea someday.. It may seem bad now. By next summer the shore will be beautiful again.

  • @muddavugger
    @muddavugger Před 11 lety

    Some will not agree with me but that which was utterly desroyed by Sandy should not be built back. I tell ya why cause the scary part about this storm is that it was barely a cat. 1. If all that property could not take a cat. 1, how much more could not take a cat. 2. We should prepare for a cat. 4 or 5 storm in the future be it next yr. or 4 yrs., its not a matter of if but when it happens again. This means some serious engineering for the vunerable NY. NJ. shore line.

    @tiredfingers99 Před 11 lety

    Yeah, the ferris wheel survived. I always went on that when I visited seaside heights. Just still cant understand why they put such nice rides out on a wood pier when theres a big parking lot in seaside near the bayside that I never saw full. They should have had the rides there.

    All this carnage is man made. do you really think man can overcome mother nature. Its just a roller coaster/ beach resort, Big deal. I believe that we with climate change and global warming should re-consider building up our coastal mega city's and be more responsible. We almost temp fate when we do this and then complain about the damage. Be responsible to your loved ones.
