If it rains, common man suffers. If encroachment has to be cleared, common man suffers. No accountability for the officials and governments, those who approved initially are still enjoying even after shifting the drain on maps as the IISc guy told.
Who told you that they take permission while constructing it........ Their attitude is let's construct, see who will oppose us..... They are backed by local corporators and mla 's....... Many corporation officials wanted to demolish or try to notice other or try any action. They get transfer........ Everyone exploit any situation they are in for their benefit.....it may people, corporators, politicians, officers..... Goons or media.....
Common man is the problem. Hope all realise sooner or later.

Why don't government update the Rajakalave maps online for the citizens. So that they can verify before buying properties..

It's a very big dilemma for everyone. If they give physical notice, they will bring stay from courts and it will take years for the courts to decide. If they don't, people are unaware.
The biggest issue is why were permissions granted in the first place? Bring those corrupt officials to book and acquire their properties. No file moves without bribe in BBMP

That's right, but who gave that permission first they should go to jail.
I wonder how and why these people chose to live here in the first place, the building wasn't constructed overnight and the owners of such structures and the government officials who gave permission to build them should be punished.
People who complain about such situations will never be bothered about the damage caused to others because of such structures, they're concerned only about their inconvenience.

Yes mapping the drains must be done according to the topographic conditions of the area. The builders effort to divert the drains is a serious & foolish way of finding a solution as nature eventually occupies the space encroached by greedy builders & corrupt govt.officials & ultimately general public who invest their hard earned money buying flats & residential properties suffer enormously from the fury of nature !!!

This country has no rules and regulations. Sometimes I feel ashamed to stay here. Why can’t the officials be caught and put to jail, after all they have their signatures on the plan approval??? At least give the residents a site whoever has paid property tax and have legal allotted properties. Are the courts sleeping???

The greed of rent needs to be stopped. It's the greed of monthly money churning machine and no efforts has led to this. So One person one house with max sq ft needs to implemented in Urban areas. This will vacate not only real estate holding but also reduce cost. As inventory will increase. Also in fear of policy new villages will not enter in urban areas. Which will reduce stress in resources.
these occupations are high in Hyderabad also, almost half of drainage area is occupied by ppl and constructed by politicians and relatives .. now if u want to demolish, u get political pressures :) if not demolished everyone suffers, a humanitarian problem, if the system is not working, this will happen ..
The worst part, it's the tenants who have no idea what happened are the ones suffering. They should start with the rich villas and give more time to these people

Where are the bureaucrats who granted permission for the layouts?
Where are developers who built and sold these buildings?
These people should be held responsible, booked under law and money should be recovered from them by seizing their assets.
Why the encroachments of actors, bureaucrats, politicians, and other so called vvip are not touched? The law should be applicable to everyone.
Why is govt spending hard earned taxpayers money on demolition and as compensations? Why not recover it from the developers and one who granted permissions in BBMP?
These questions should be asked when people vote next time.

Why were inhabitants taking risks on their hand when they are aware of the fact and of course they were. Reimbursement proffer to those who abide judicial else there should be Stern action. We are a nation of millions and sometimes somewhere we have to take stringent action the same as of China else people will take rules on granted

This issue is predominantly in newer BBMP areas after consolidation of 7 CMCs and 110 villages. They grew rampantly without any regard for surveys and records.
Everyone living on the storm water drain know that they are illegal.
They just expect the authorities to look the other way
Not to mention that some of the prominent people of Bangalore are living on bungalows made on SWD
So if they are indeed demolishing these buildings they must start with the bigger ones first.

dear sir iblame the govt you talk about rajkalve how did you permit to construct the building and sanction plan second thing as you know the rate of land in blore you make your own decision and increased the buffer zone dimension you may not know there are so many places rajkalve is encoraached and remain 3feet to 4feet in my openion govt should restudy the system and reduce the buffer zone to a minimum dimension in the interest of general public so that you can maintain the buffer zone to the require dimension

The same media blamed BBMP for havoc in rainy season. Building on raja kaluve is legal? These rain water drainage are their since thousands of years. Allowing to reside on humanitarian grounds is not a crime. Because of these structures the entire Bangalore is facing problem.

Stay away from lake, drainage or wherever the sewage or rain water flow. The water has so much of power that it carries away whatever it comes on his way. Building get spoiled due to absorption of water bcoz water is so much volatile.
Lastly the dried lake will take its place during heavy rain so human being should leave it's place and move out.
