6 ways to make AC Milan more competitive,
    1. Give time to Montella to build a strong team and expect a trophy in 2018-2019. For the next season the most important is the team to be qualified in top 4.
    2. If you want to build a name for a club which is going to be a factor on the European stage, you can't let football agents like Mino Raiola have so much power, or to let certain individuals to think they are more than the team - Donnarumma case. I love him, but if this happens again, they have to get rid of the player, nobody is bigger than the club!
    3. Give a chance to youngsters - Hachim Mastour is not living to the expectations but there is plenty more he could give in the long term future, Locatelli, Romagnoli, Crutone are the future of this club, and they have to build a team of great leaders like Bonucci and youngsters to sustain the success like the previous generation 1988-2007.
    4. Give recognition to the player who stayed through thick and thin for the club - Bonaventura. A seriously underrated player with great skills and leadership capabilities.
    5. Don't EVER give the chance to Galliani to make shitty deals - Mesbah, Constant, Niang, Paletta, Matri (14 mln), Zapata, Taarabt, Sosa etc. This club has become a laughing stock because they made many suspicious deals in the past 10 years instead of investing the money in a proper way.
    6. Make the transition between the generations in a batter manner. The main reason for the decline of AC Milan was the fact that Galliani and Berlusconi didn't make the transaction more smoothly and they didn't bring the right players at the proper time. In 2007, it was already obvious that AC Milan are going to have a decline in the short future because Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Nesta, Maldini and Inzaghi were already aging and the club didn't buy players who could be competitive. Therefore, in 2012, when the club was left by Silva and Zlatan, and 4 legends retired, there was a massive gap which is still to be filled. But it took 5 years and the most expensive transfer window in the history of football to replace the 6 missing players - Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Ambrosini, Zlatan, Silva. If the club manages to overcome this moment in the future, then AC Milan would sustain highly competitive in Italy and the European stage as the club was for 20 years between 1988-2007, the Golden generation of Milan.
There you go @Copa90. This is how you make a top 6, with proper arguments.

Number #6 is absolute balls, if you don't think AC Milan aren't "more of a global club" than Juve already, then you know fuck all about football. Even with their steady decline the last 5/6 years, ask anyone. Milan are still the biggest and most recognizable Italian club without a shadow of a doubt.

Neither did they have success in the last 6 years, nor big players that could attract fans, youngsters that could become loyal rosseneri, nor Cl football. At the time being, with all the business and marketing moves that Juve has done, in addition to reaching two CL finals and dominating the league for 6 years, their brand is definitely better.
Don't make it seem as if Juventus never was close to Milan. Prior to 2005 it was always Milan, Juventus, MU and Liverpool.
They're back in the scene now, and have made a huge impact. Let's see how things pan out for them. Cheers from a Juventino. :)

    I would prefer a 3-4-1-2 for this year's Milan:
    Donna
    Mussac Bonucci Rodriguez
    Suso Biglia Kessie Bonaventura
    Calhanouglu
    Silva Mr.X
Calhan is not pacey enough to be a winger, not defensive enough to be a CM... CAM should do him a world of good.
Rodriguez is very strong defensively too. A 3 at back approach needs consistent defenders and Conti and Romag will learn with these seniors guiding them.
This lineup also presents a wonderful chance for Suso and Bonaventura to prove their worth.
Niang and Borini can be backup winger/striker.

I don't understand why people still underrate napoli. They finished 3rd last year behind roma, had the best offense in the whole league and defeated juve back in april. Don't sleep on napoli and stop overhyping a team that much that hasn't even played a game together

    • @taliamason7986
      @taliamason7986 Před 7 lety +1

TheArtofChocolate I don't get it either. If ask you me Napoli will the next club to win Serie A after Juventus fall a bit which I think will happen this coming season. They have a great squad that really only needs a top class GK now that they have signed Mario Rui to replace Strinic at LB so they can offload Ghoulam. Milik will be fully fit soon and when he is he will banging in the goals. They just signed a talented winger in Ounas from Bordeaux. They have a few talented young midfielders such as Zeilinski, Rog and Grassi who comes back from his loan at Atalanta. They are the most consistent club other than Juventus and haven't dropped out of the top 3 for years now. Even Lazio is worth a mention with their consistency in the last few years.

I'm a long time Milan fan, I can't wait to see the day when we'll win the Scudetto again. However, I don't it'll happen this year - I firmly believe this is Napoli's season, and they sure as hell deserve it! The team that plays the most beautiful football, and that's ready (playing together for a few years, players know the Sarri's tactics even in the dreams, etc. etc), they only need to be more consistent than last year, and start off the season well, the way they played last year, since the round 17 or 18!
Anyone else winning the Scudetto is better than seeing Juventus doing it! Thus, if Napoli do it, it'll be great, and if Milan could do it, it'll be fantastic!

We played with a third team while Dortmund played with a first team. We played Paletta so he gets game time and increases in value so he's worth more and we can sell him for more money. Remember Leicester beating Barcelona in a friendly last year? Yeah exactly.

Locatelli. And Kissie are top class players their midfield is locked for years. Suso is on the brink of world class, cutrone is up and coming and will be a great player, great goalkeeper, solid defense, what they need? A world class player to create, get Ozil, probably up for sale, sign brandt from leverkusen and malcom from bordoux and they are set, gattuso did wonderful last year, and now he had a full off season, i reckon they will finish top 4, but to dethrone juventus it will take time

PSG is one of the best clubs in the world. They got exposed by Barca because of the managerial mistake (offside trap in the 90th minute lmao wtf???) and quite a bit of luck and referee mistakes. I would argue only Barca, Real, Bayern, Juventus and maybe but just maybe Manchester City are above them.
