Zidane Is one of the first managers to bench CR7 in a lot of matches and CR7 wouldn't complain.
The whole madrid squad wants to be successful with Zidane so that he doesn't get an unexpected sack like ancelotti, when mourinho was there the second year players had a negative attitude towards him and also same goes for benitez, Ancelotti would've been fine but I was shocked when he was sacked.

    • @dreimihai3518

Ronaldo Owino Ancelotti wasn't fired despite all rumors. he was only there to help Zidane and start him as coach. That was the whole plan for 2 years. Ancelotti is great nevertheless.

Ronaldo Owino idk why people defend ancelotti so much,he luckily won la decima and didnt wim half of what was expected with that great milan team.Ancwlotti got raped by evry big club at real madrid,4-0 to barca 4-0 to atleti and couldnt beat atleti aside from the final. In the end,Benitez shouldve never been appointed and Zidane shouldve been the selected one.But it all worked well ;)

Unfancied by Benitez? You guys can't be serious. Benitez's gift to Real was Casemiro. He sidelined Isco and James and slotted him in the midfield. Very few people knew Casemiro before 2015.

Casemiro is the key of the Real Madrid succes, he is by far tactically the most important player, not only in Real, but in the world (alongside Arturo Vidal) if anyone says he is just a rude player then you have never played football in your life, even worse you only know football through tv, so you can never understand how much important he is for Real Madrid.

more like casemiro, modric, isco and marcelo. Modric, isco and marcelo can always dribble their way into the enemy's area and make something happen even when the enemy team is defending hard. Kroos could've been replaced, but those 3 are different. And casemiro is just himself :D

The 2 best midfielders in the world in modric and kroos. 2 world class fullbacks. Great cb's and the greatest no 9 on earth in Ronaldo. Then their backup for each position is just as good, and a lot of them are still young; casemiro, asension, isco, vazquez. Zidane is very very clever. He knows how to run a football team and this side has all the right players.

one of the most important and brilliant manager skills that zidane has is player evaluation. he has an insane eye for individual performances, so he knows exactly how and when a player can gives his best. this allows him to squeeze the players potentials and make the strongest team possible at almost all times. his tactics are not that groundbreaking, but he always gets the best out of his players

    • @orb5841
      @orb5841 Před 6 lety

It's obvious is the issue will be the defense like Carlo, Casimiro was a good tactical shift but the defense itself needs a player, Nacho is a good rotation with Varane but he also plays as an RB and if Carvajal is injured along with Varane they will only have their backup. Buying an RB or a CB that is young and will be more of a backup is good like the LB Theo was a good buy as he is young but will prove to be good and maybe better than Marcelo if he finds his groove. Also buying a young GK would do good, as the GK prospects in Madrid don't look any better than backups, buying a U19 or U21 Keeper might prove useful, but of course Zidane will do this in the Next window.
EDIT: Forgot about Hakimi, but that Young potentially starting GK is still an issue.

    Great Video Copa
I'd like to point out 1 small thing, Rafa is the one who brought back Casemiro from Porto and had him in the starting 11 since the pre-season games until Perez forced him to play james in El-Clasico which resulted in a humiliating defeat 4-0 and most goals would have been prevented if Casemiro played.
Also, I still remember in Zidane's early matches he wasn't quite convinced of Casemiro as well and didn't play him as much as Rafa until he lost 1-0 in the derby against Atletico.
Still i'm very happy with Zizou and I hope he continues to rule the world with Real Madrid.

Having said that he did have an array of magnificent players around him, yet different managers were fired who used those same player also Bayern Munich and Barcelona have an exciting array of talent and winners as well under great managers yet during the champions league he has still outmatched them, just give the guy the credit he deserves, back to back Champions League trophies in this day and age not the in the 50's when there were about 4 teams is no laughing matter.

I would say Isco has been more important overloading the midfield. Scored the crucial goal in the Atletico tie and was a menance in the final.

I have to say I normally don't like reap Madrid but I remember when they beat athletico Madrid in the first leg of the semi final of the champions league I believe it was this year the way they played against them i have to say it was the closest to a perfect game I have ever seen and one of the best performances for a long time

  • @arnoldharoldmahlaba7237

Zidane never lost difference of two goals as a madrid coach and he only lost 7 matches and he has won 7 cups already in less than two years. That is why he is so great, no manager can challenge that.

2 things, Madrid usually play 4-3-3 only again small teams. They built their history playing 4-2-3-1 / galacticos / 4-2-2/ 3 champions / and Casemiro was discovered by Benitez , not Zidane.

Zidane is a great leader as player in club and country. I still think tactics played a secondary role to motivation. Manager talk tactics only to prove their credentials to the young players. Zidane has no need for that, he won everything.

Zidane inherited a great team full of winners.
So did Pep at Barcelona and Bayern.
You cant hail such managers as the best. Best managers like Sir Alex, Klopp, Wenger , Conte, Mourinho who have actually turned teams in great difficulty into a winning team with stability.

how successful was Real Madrid in the era of Los Galacticos.
Bought every great popular player but managers couldn't handle them. Guys played when they should have sat out, etc..
A manager being allowed to implement their game plan and use his players where needed is extremely important.

Benitez played Casemiro. Aside from not stupidly playing weaker members in big games, Zidane and Benitez literally follow the same "long balls and cross" tactics. Biggest difference is No Bale, No Danilo and a different attitude just cause Zidane's a legends.

RM will play the third successive CL final, thanks to Zizou's grit and excellent man management of his players. Made mistakes letting go Morata, Pepe and Danillo, not James because RM got Asensio and Isco to play behind the strikers, but they lost a striker backup and an experienced defender in Pepe and a good backup full back in Danilo...
