How would you could only walk somewhere? Tired, sore, bored, (no concerts, vacations, etc). How far are you going to carry your suitcases? How do you move? Your umm freedom is very limited. I guess you could use a bike with a trailer. What if your blind, in a wheelchair? Imagine having to see the doctor, go to the hospital? Truly think about all that would change? What's involved in day to day life.

In the 1980s, they taught us in school that when we are adults, the rain would be so acidic, that we wouldn't be able to go outside in the rain, and they said that we wouldn't be able to go out in the sun without sunscreen. Scientists were also predicting an ice age. I am skeptical of anything "scientists" are saying.

All scientists are correct, until the next scientist comes along and changes/refutes the former's data. That scientist is then considered correct until...

@@ClintonWhitesYou should look up what scientists, college professors and other "smart" people predicted in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Ice ages, mass starvation cites that will no longer exist not a single prediction came true. There's the true dose of reality.

Jordan Peterson gave a great overview of global climate change. In a nutshell, the models are so varied the in 5-10 years the range is so wide we can't tell the effect we are having if we try something. Added to the fact the some of the largest area where the carbon pollution it at its highest are some of the poorest people. So asking then to change and spend money on climate instead of basic living needs just won't happen. A study by some of the smartest people on the planet didn't even put climate change on list of things that we could focus on to improve the future the greatest.

    It is BTUs not carbon.

The problem with the climate change alarmists is that they talk about "carbon" emissions and how we have to reduce carbon emissions. They want the government to take action to reduce carbon. So what are some solutions? You can no longer own a home because it is not carbon efficient. You would have to live in mass living areas and the government would control the heat and cooling for these locations. Animals produce carbon and methane emissions so we shouldn't be eating meat. People produce carbon emissions so we should probably have fewer of them. The government will decide. Businesses can produce carbon and so should fall under the control of the government. Every part of our existence can be construed as emitting carbon. So we should destroy everything to save the planet. But these same alarmists are not willing to push this same ideal on China or India who are probably the two biggest contributors of carbon on the planet. Is it a problem or isn't it?
