Please take this as the compliment it is intended to be. I am glad you stuck with the original design of a more, shall we say, "impressionistic" paint job on the horses and riders. Because, Lord knows, the originals looked exactly like that! 👌

I am quite surprised you haven't used anything to prevent rust before gluing green velvet. The bottom part is very pitted and at risk.

That is amazing how you restored the horse racing game. You not only cleaned the parts but you made new parts to replace the ones that were missing. The detail work in painting the horses is impressive as well. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.
Very nice, though my nitpick would be to use enamel paints with smaller 'model' brushes on the horses, and maybe also an airbrush for the basecoat so the paint wasn't so thick.

Great restoration vid! As someone new here, a small suggestion for you. The room you're in is very echoy. For some of the more jarring sounds like hammering it only intensifies it. Perhaps a couple egg crate sound deflectors in the room and on the ceiling could help a bit? Looking forward to watching more!

oh man major Deja Vu, thought I was going crazy! Turns out Old Things Never Die restored a very similar type of horse race game a year ago!
I would have loved to have seen a collaboration with someone who's a tabletop mini painter do something awesome with those horses. What you did was fine, but I think you could have had something really amazing.

En Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 son unas mesas redondas de algunos 6 pies de circunferencia debajo de unas carpas donde se acercan las personas a apostar y esas mesas de caballos de apuestas son llamadas Picas
