Hooooooo boy, you haven't seen anything yet, have you?
You can clearly hear him pronouncing the "D" is his notes.
His performance is not super impressive, but is fun to watch. Literally any half decent singer can say "doom dum dom dam" me makes decently sounding notes.
But it takes great talent and skill to make your voice indistinguishable from a real instrument.
You should check out mike Tompkins. He does EXACTLY THAT. WHEN HE DOES ACAPELLA, YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE! HIS PERFORMANCE SOUNDS LIKE ACTUAL PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS!

Angelina Dash it’s a stylistic choice :) there are all kinds of different ways to create acapella. There are those who like to sound exactly like the original song by mimicking the sound of each instrument. I prefer to keep it more “voice” sounding as to bring something original/new to the arrangement and put my own mark on the songs I cover.

Imma be real honest here, I didn't know it became a meme. When I found out, I was furious. This song was the first Owl City song I ever heard. I can sing it word for word. It's not really my favorite song, but it's a bop. It is my jam. The song that made me a fan. And people making memes out of it, it's like they're coming in and just pissing all over a good thing that I love, and that just makes me so mad.
