Yo this girls mom is a straight up dream killer. She will guide her daughter down a path she hates if the daughter lets her. Then when her daughter flames out and needs years/decades to find herself again the mother will never acknowledge her role in this deviation and always hold it over her head.

If she hadn’t listened to her friend, she wouldn’t have gotten in trouble. HOWEVER (before ya’ll come for me!), she needs to learn how to pick her battles and just get to 18 when she can move out/go to college (if she decides that’s her path). Her friend knows how her mother is, yet convinced her to take off the shirt. Did the friend get in trouble for it? Nope! At this point, she needs to play the long game and find an exit strategy, then go NC with the mother. IYKYK. At this point, it’s about surviving the dysfunction until she can get away from it.
