Can we get a *_NEW_* follow up videos about, "Where are they know?" It would be nice to see what the champions are up to, how they've applied what they learned and the impact being on the show had on their business lives.
Forged in fire is the most underrated and epic show. It will KEAL!
So underrated
This comment will KEAL
"Its heavy"
Me "Welp"
I'm so happy this show has it's own channel now. So much better organization is achieved that way.
People who already saw all episodes on History channel: oh yes, I'm about to do it again
I love the fact they show true showmanship and teamwork. They are in a competition, but they are very supportive. It's a healthy competition. Let your work speak for you and being respectful to the competitors (win or lose)
I'd rather face a machine gun than a group of madmen coming at me with the weapons they have on this show.
At least the machine gun will kill you quickly instead of leaving a gaping wound across your torso.

I've been thinking the same. Florida boy w no experience in blacksmithing and hooked on this show. Incredible people w amazing skill. Hope every contestant has continued on w success win or lose!
I think that is a great idea. Being on the show with the other smiths was great. I’m running my own business making custom weapons, teaching, and working towards my ABS journeyman rating. Being on the show didn’t really have an impact on my business, but it definitely did have an impact on my reputation in the bladesmithing community. Opened a few doors that might have otherwise been closed to me. I think the best thing to come out of the show is the camaraderie and friendships I made. I still talk to the other smiths. Just texted Jesse actually to let him know that this video was up. Doing well, and cranking out knives. Working on technique. The learning never stops. Thanks for your interest.
@@Joshua-fc2cx No, thank you for responding! That's awesome you guys keep in contact. One running theme in the comment section is exactly that, camaraderie. Not many contests where you'll see the contestants still working together and watching each other's back; to an extent of course as it is competition.
If I had a drink I'd raise it in a toast for many, many more amazing years to come!
I have never seen Doug do a happy dance before. :D Both those weapons were great and something to be proud of.
He needed to rebalance and tried to do it graciously. The second axe was heavy.
"I hope weight isn't an issue."
Everyone watching: "You lose."
I remember watching this show on the history channel. I like how they test different types of weapons. I was scrolling down trying to find something interesting to watch and ended up here on forged fire. I'm glad they're on CZcams now. 🗡🛡⚔
The History channel realizing that the show is so much more watched than their other videos that they just make the show its own channel.
"I hope weight is not the determining factor"
Lmao
i bet doug really loves his job
*happy lochaber dance*
1:30 he knows the judges XD
We need a barbarian to wield these two handers. Get Brian Shaw on the show!
Nah, let’s get Robert Oberst or Eddie Hall
The Lochaber axe was definitely one of my favourites
Wish they would alternate who goes first each round to reduce any sort of bias
Forged in fire is ♥️
4:45 he's running like if a player started controlling him.
Lochaber - Sounds like lo-har-buh
imagine a Lochaber Axe bayonet.
Anyone ever noticed how doug doesn't slide his top hand down the shaft of long handled weapons like axes?... does the guy actually know what he's doing?...
From Morocco and I love this emission
Great job Meridian Frost - watched far too many of your vids in the old CZcams days to not recognise you!
Two handed weapons are awesome!
I'm a bit late, but FINALLY a forged in fire channel
Why can nobody on the show say LOCHABER? LOCH-AYBERRRRRR. SCOTTISH. NOT LOCK-A-BAR.
I'd prefer Loch-Ahbur but then everyone in Scotland winced at their pronunciation of it >.
You guys should put full episode
Dang, Doug sure does like to cut those pigs in half, doesn't he?
3:40 almost spiral cut ham. Hehe
Yes please finally
They should really call Doug a Master of Arms for fun. He can wield every weapon so well and makes it look easy.
Vicious weapon! r/eyeblech would be proud.
8:28 *The blade is heavy*
*_me_* - ok he lose
Bet Doug loves his job.
So glad they have their own channel now
it wants a jury to design
There is no cow level.
the second weight is mentioned youve lost
"I hope the weight isn't the determinant factor" I think you don't watch the show
hasn't this episode already been uploaded before? Edit: it has, recognize more and more the more i watch it
This is their way of releasing the same episodes to us again so they don't have to upload stuff people are still paying to see :/
Lets see a Farriers episode!
Even the grim reaper fears the H word
Where's the history of the weapon though?
Jesse was right the weight!
Pronounced Loch-AR-ber sincerely, Scotland.
I know the us competition shows want everyone to be a good sport and gracious loser, but why are they always delusional about not knowing who will win when weights and damage are commented on and one stands out over the other. It's not a shock that the lighter less damaged weapon wins
guys is this official CZcams channel of forged in fire??
It Will CUT Haha VeryNice Sound😂
From philippines
please ?? i can be the cleaner of this show !
love it
It's a little bit heavy. I hope that isn't a factor.
You've seen the show right???
It will kill☠️☠️☠️
Just wondering what they do after chopping the meat....😋
Dents blades
Ok now for sharpness
Like bruh
Colonel Sanders got cake!
Pronounced "loch Ah burr" not "lokabur". Stress is on the "Ah".
What happened to that original announcer guy? They got rid of him.
He left the show after they had a kid
It's pronounced Lauchh-aeh-berr...
It's more about where the Yanks put the accent rather than the pronunciation that sounds a bit odd to me...
Howdy
It's there a female edition?
They've had a number of female competitors.
Why would you show that flag all rolled up ???
send this to the vegan teacher
I love this show except for Matt's cocky attitude!
Why tf do you make durability test before the sharpnes test, after the blade is damaged and dulled a bit, it makes no sense, if you want to see how those smiths can sharpen thier weapons, you need to test fresh sharpened blade...
The point is to see how sharp it would be after a bit of combat. Of course your blade will be shorter at peak performance. The question is, will it after some wear and tear.
Use pig dummy instead of real pig just for fun!
if you are using wording like ''huge challenge'' and ''hopefully'' then you are never going to a great blacksmith
Wow OK so you know how it going to turn out by the time they get to the end of the forge. Stop the bull and just let the forgeing speak. A bit of weight in a chopper is better than a lite weight chopper. But hay I'm not a US fan you gets told how to think.
If both weapons perform equally - which they did - you will always, always prefer the lighter one. Simply because, if you have to actually use it, a lighter weapon is much easier to wield for any stretch of time.
Howdy
