Never ceases to be a wholesome show. Every contestant treats each other like a friend even though they're strangers. No trash talking, no cocky attitudes... it's just them, the forge and the blades. I wish more shows were like this.

All these people talk about they been watching fortune fire for so long. They’ve forging their own blades for 20 years but make the simplest mistakes over and over and over again.

Codys blade shall be named Pitch Black in honor of the way it felled the Sandman.

I'd rather have a blade that's a little heavier versus a blade that's lighter but bent and will fail in combat. Victor won this, hands down.

Seeing that pig cut through like that, am reminded, that in one of the Norse sagas, a man was said to have used a langseax to sneak under his opponents shield to cut his leg off above the knee with a single stroke. These weapons were traditionally designed to be stout, forward heavy choppers.with long , almost two handed sized handles to push the balance even more forward and impart the most leverage to the strike.
