This is a bit of a different video. It's my first time cutting my hair with clippers. I spent so much $$ on getting a trim and highlights that I wanted to trim my hair myself. Cutting with clippers. For the first time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy my confusion.
I'll use this as a tutorial for later cuts (haha)

I have never seen or heard of a 2 inch guard though That thing was MASSIVE!
I was just imagining the guard slipping off and you accidently taking a chunk out of your hair and making a bald spot

A few years ago my husband gave a friend a very short haircut with clippers a few years back when the shops were closed. He caped with a neck strip and he used different attachments on the back and sides, then used the clippers over the comb for the top and to blend it with the back and sides, he finished up with the peanut clippers on her neckline. It was the first time that she had her entire haircut with clippers, but she was happy with the results. She got compliments on the haircut and her husband who likes really short hair really liked it and said he did a better job than her stylist that charges her over $60. So doing haircuts at home are a great money saver.

Unfortunately I haven’t made one but I am thinking about growing my pixie out! 🥰
There is no "grain" of the hair. There is a growth pattern that goes in a circle stating at the whorl of the crown. It is circular just like facial hair/beards.
Against the grain and with the grain is a way to describe how you’re cutting the hair with clippers… please look it up.
Playing with clippers is fun. You should go shorter soon.
