What is STEAM education? Is it an active methodology?

The acronym STEAM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics. Understand the integral teaching that exists in STEAM education and why it has been considered an active methodology.
Active methodologies place students at the center of the learning process and make them participate in a way that they are the protagonists of their own history, from research, debate, analysis, to the presentation of their project.
Both the STEAM and the active methodologies are in accordance with the proposal of the Common National Curriculum Base, that is, the BNCC, as they promote the formation of socio-emotional skills. Furthermore, they are closely linked with project-based learning.

A aprendizagem baseada em projetos é uma metodologia ativa assim como a sala de aula invertida, a gamificação, aprendizagem por pares, por problemas, dentre outros exemplos, mas independente das classificações que surgem, o importante é o estudante estar no centro do processo, e não o conteúdo ou o professor, para uma aprendizagem mais significativa para todos :)
