My personal favorite tracks in this game are No Friends ( played when you were walking by the path from your car to Kate's house) and Isolate (played when you were gladly exiting that hell mine from elevator and walking to that little house with TV)
I could see why this version did not do so well, I had problems with the Amnesia style door opening mechanics in this game, an I had softlocks too Lmao😂

Yea... looking back I can completely understand why the original release was so poorly received. It was clearly rushed, and there were so many inexcusable bugs, including the one where you fall through the lift at the end of Into The Abyss.

The softlock where he just stands there and refuses to throw you out the window can still happen in the current build as well. Also fun fact the tower model from the original ending is present in "Into The Mines" level if you no clip above the elevator.

Yup, they sure did change the ending, there is no Charlie in game and no “matheson family farm” part of the game

UPDATE: The Update has dropped and now allows you to select the older version of the game as shown here, as such, i'm removing the download from the description, please go support the developers, even if it's slightly more expensive
Update：Blue Isle Studios have shown that they will be adding the "Version2013" option to the game, which means the v1.0 might be available to be downloaded from the steam client once the game receives the overhaul update
If that's the case, I will have to remove the download link to avoid legal trouble
turns out, it's not the 1.0 version as I checked out by now, it's the 1.5.6 version as that was how the game was released on Steam in that state (although still some similar mechanics with the door opening and few graphical stuff)

I’ve now had a chance to play the 1.0 version, and the only thing that I seriously hate about it is that sometimes, slenderman will teleport RIGHT on top of you and kill you unfairly.

The warping effect Slender Man has on him in this old build was brought back for the 10th Anniversary Update, which is cool.
Though it looks a lot better now
As much as buggy this version is, later patched version of it 1.2 not have that much bugs. So I would choose this versions over others, including remake. The reason for this is that it is just better at feeling real, and not in sense of graphics, but in sense of animations, moods, glitching effects and all sorts of things. Original just fits better.

back then not so popular but the Hate that this game got after all these fixes is dumb besides that since back then so many Fanmade versions of Slender the Eight Pages where released Slender the Arrival sadly never got the attention it deserves EVEN THOUGH MARKIPLIER PLAYED THEM
Man am i excited for the 10 Years update for Slender the Arrival and S: Lost Chapters we even saw Kate the Chaser on one teaser Image for S: Lost Chapters so maybe Slenderman and will get a come back (Or Kate is just an Easter egg who knows)

Yes, it does look better, but as I said in the beginning, it heavily tanks the FPS, even with Medium specs and a high-end PC
hi, why do I have Slender ver 1.0, the game starts and the screen is black, the main thing is barely visible to me

You know, there are obviously some stuff to pick at in the new version, like for example, there was a period of time where the graphics looked like shit unless you turned dlss on.... and they took the pumpkins out. THOSE BASTARDS. I WILL AVENGE THOSE PUMPKINS!
But in comparison, this really shows why they remade in Unreal Engine 5. It is not all because of the graphics and how cool it could look... it was also probably because this engine ran like shit if you pushed it to the max. They had to do something about it if they wanted to do more.
So I completely respect the decision and I am interested to see how multiplayer is gonna play out. That sounds like a really fun time.
also side note, i love the flashlight in the new game. it can completely light up a room naturally. it was so cool.
It was completely fine on the last release, the 2.0 and its clearly just cause of bad optimization and they fixed it throughout the years, its just that this version is fuckin dogshit and im surprised people were even able to run it, buts its not something to poke at the devs about, the game was released for free for during the first vresion since it had an "Updater" in the files which prob fetched a new version from their servers.

Hey bro, how did you get the game to run?? The game doesn't go beyond the splash videos that play when you open the game so I can't even get to the main menu screen. It's just a black screen for me. Can I fix it somehow?

@@PanMannYT Well yes, but actually no. It's some sort of a graphics driver issue that I'm unsure of how to fix. I realized it later that the main menu is there but the contrast is so high that it's barely even noticeable. I can interact with the main menu and start the game but it's barely even visible. Sometimes, the game works totally as intended on it's own but for most of the time, it doesn't. Version 1.5.4 and 2.0 of this game works totally fine but this only seems to be a problem with version 1.0. Thanks for asking tho 😁

The anniversary version came out recently, and the devs said that we can still switch to the original version if we have the game on steam by locating the game in our library, clicking on the gear icon, clicking on “properties”, and clicking where it says “betas” but it really sucks that they didn’t add the 1.0 version for it though. I asked a blue isle dev if they could add the 1.0 version to the beta list in the game’s properties and he told me that the one that says “Version2013” is the 1.0 version, but he was wrong. It’s actually the 1.5.6 version :(

@belminsejfic5157 Just because it’s on pc doesn’t mean that it’s ALWAYS possible to crash. It depends on how good your pc is. But however, YOUR pc is probably a potato.
