Hi I'm Doe, I live in England with my partner and our little jack russell. I make CZcams videos about all the things I love, so you will see a lot of Beatles and Queen related content, music reviews and reactions, vinyl record hauls and unboxings and showing my record collection. Also we are both vegan and love plants and love growing our own food on our allotment and tasting new vegan food. I love art so you will see some creative projects on here as well as fashion, especially from the 50s/60/70s, I love that vintage style. I also vlog from time to time, especially if I'm travelling or showing you parts of England, hiking in the country, out on the motorbike or exploring a medieval castle.

Masterpiece of an album.
It's a great album - a true classic. And then in yellow vinyl - perfect!
Vada was another Periscope favorite so glad to see her.
I’m not sure if you know but there is a Queen / Elton connection with this album. ‘Saturday nights alright for fighting’ was performed as a impromptu jam a couple of times on Queens Hot Space tour in 82.
This is a great concept, Doe. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, is an excellent album, but it's not my personal favourite by Elton John, 'Blue Moves' is, and my favourite song from it is 'Idol', if you haven't heard this track Doe, you should.

What a GREAT idea for this series!
I hate to admit that several years ago, I got rid of most of my vinyl; but I kept the Beatles albums (of course!) , a 45 of Louis Armstrong narrating "The Night Before Christmas" and...
The one that I don't think I would ever part with, is a boxed set of Elvis, including an album of Gospel, that my mother had bought back in the 70s or 80s... which was a HUGE deal for her to make a purchase like that! We were dirt poor when I was growing up, so it would've been an extravagant purchase... and back in those days, she would've had to go to all the trouble of getting a money order (does anyone even know what those are anymore??) to order it by mail... so it must've been quite dear to her. She was probably tempted into buying it, due to the Gospel album!
(Oh, my mom has been gone since 1995.)
I remember when you could hardly give records away, no one seemed to want them, now with the resurgence the prices have really gone up lol! I love that you still have the Beatles, and the Elvis set. It's lovely you still have that as a memory of your dear mother ❤
A great video and nothing wrong with a movie soundtrack imo they often have some amazing music on them and I love The Lost Boys, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown(in fact most Tarantino are amazing), Romeo and Juliet, Trainspotting soundtrack to name but a few.
Looking forward to seeing you do more in this series as it looks cool.

I did not know about the meaning behind ‘going back to the farm’ in Goodbye Yellow Brick road! I feel a lot closer to that lyrical sentiment now, being from a rural community myself! Loved the video and I’m so excited for the series ahead!!!

It's amazing that your first guest happens to be an Elton John fan who was also a friend of Freddie Mercury they often spent time together so much so they had girls nicknames for each other.

When Goodbye Yellow Brick Road came out it was amazing! No one I liked released double albums and this one is nearly (99%) all killer mo filler (I don’t like Jamaica Jerk Off) was just an amazing album I was on £4.00 a week and couldn’t afford it but my mate had it so went to his house every day that summer (about 4 months) and we listened to it. These days I’ve got it on vinyl, yellow vinyl and various CD’s including the one with the ‘making of’ DVD absolutely brilliant album. Great video keep up the great videos!

Elton's piano playing can sometimes be overlooked, but my favourite Elton song is "Ticking" from the "Caribou" album. The piano playing is just off the scale! My prized vinyl is the 12" single of The Show Must Go On by Queen, it has the band's autographs acid etched onto the B side.
I will have to check that one out, and wow!!! That sounds like an awesome item to have!!
I am not the biggest Beatles fan but I like quite a few of their songs. What about you?
