I tried out the mower, trimmer, chain saw and hedge trimmer last fall. I found the hand held stuff very heavy, but worked well. The mower is an absolute tank, worked great and was super maneuverable.
The down side, here in Canada, would be over $50k to get set up with the trailer mounted charger and the appropriate amount of batteries required to operate.

Can anyone give me any insight? On the 26 horsepower Vanguard Engine. EFI or Carbureted.
EFI for long term savings, Carb if you want cheaper cost of repairs and just straight brute power (but added fuel consumption).
5 gallons of mixed fuel per week times 52= 260 gallons times $4.00= $1,040. Their battery stuff is just too expensive!! I feel like those numbers represent a one trailer crew with some wiggle room.
I’d say for a 2-3 man crew you’d have to double those numbers easily. Simple math tells me I’m running way more than that. So if it’s $2-3k a year and those lines cross in 6-7 years. (Ish!)
We cut and trim a lot of grass for a two man crew and my equipment fuel cost even with fall cleanup is around 3k the prices need to cut in half for it to even be close to make sense

I like the safety on the trimmer. I have talked to Stihl about adding a chain saw brake to the trimmer that is on the chain saw. They have not done that yet.
I got 2 contracts with the city where I live to mow some city properties. I would like to test the equipment with what I am going to mow. I have some right-of-ways to mow that are quite lengthy, plus a large section of an industrial park and the waste water plant along with 8 blocks of medians to mow. I especially would like to demo the push mowers. Thanks for the video.

I gave up the residentials that I was personally doing, but my daughters father-in-law mows 10 smaller properties for me so I still do residential. These 2 contracts should gross me around $80,000.
Very impressive wish I would seen this before I invested in toro battery. Had to get something since I have an HOA that does not allow gas trimmers anymore and only allows gas blowers during April and October to December for leaf cleanups.
It’s crazy that the bans are popping up more and more!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance yea it is. The main reason I got toro was because I already had 2 batteries from the toro mower I won from LAL a few years ago. Haha

In my real world mowing service, battery is for a few niche tools, it's still a high end investment. I do use battery powered tools on my personal property for the ease and reduced noise. Great video great channel
I’m with you. It seems like a great idea but I’m hoping someone can make the numbers make sense. Kress seems to be the best chance of that so far (with real world performance / demand).
Interested in the push mower for homeowner use, i already have to toro battery mower but the bagging is almost non existent, how are these mowers for bagging?
ryobi has a battery hedge trimmer with the same safety feature with the handle Safety Hold.

Did they reveal what type of lithium-ion battery chemistry they use? Is it LFP??
They didn't, but they did answer that the battery isn't LFP, but some of their other products are.

This is unsustainable, stupid, and will not last. You are a fool if you invest in this application for commercial use. Just my 2 cents. Back pack blower 15 min wide open - then change and charge ? Just think of this during fall cleanups ... wow

This is all about money. Can i offer the same services for the same money.
If not then ill stick with gas.
At the end of the day, that was my bottom line statement. Does it ROI.
imagine if you had a power station that charged off of solar so your battery equipment was free to recharge
They’re wired up for that on the cyber tank. Those solutions are coming long term. Could be an amazing opportunity for folks in the south with 10 month seasons and ample sun! ☀️
I have a solar panel at my cottage with the best high tech equipment. Worst investment ever. Batteries were toast after 7 years and cost 3 times more than hydro, and used massive amounts of fossil fuels to build them. Wake up and realize all batteries are ten times more pollutant than fossil fuels too. You can't get insurance for these battery powered equipment. They are explosive.

I own a Tesla, I didn't vote for Biden. You can still have an open mind to new and fun technology without making it political. I guess you can throw away all of your Milwaukee and Dewalt impacts and drills because they're battery too?
@@BriansLawnMaintenance yeah maybe I was a bit harsh I just don’t agree with some counties and cities like Ann Arbor or even states like California forcing owners hands to switch to Electric equipment Wht will smaller company owners do when they can’t afford to purchase this stuff ??
