Whats interesting about this setup is the pricing we're looking at here. Were looking at 249 for the controller, another 249 to upgrade to serato pro, and 299 for the xp2 for a grand total of 800 dollars.
When people are trying to figure out the value of the ddj-flx6 they should think about this video. You could add the xp2 to the flx6 and the grand total would be only 100 dollars more and you'd have 4 decks instead of 2, 2 expansions for serato pro at 40 bucks a pop that the flx6 gets free and that's before we even look at rekordbox.

I own an FLX6 and am looking to get the XP2. Naturally, I turned to Carlo, and this comment really helped bring it all home for me. Sold.

I have a DDJ1000 for RB and I was going to purchase a DDJ400 for smaller gigs but I've opted to get the DDJSB3 Gold Edition. I bought my son a DDJSB3 last year, so this is my 3ms purchase of it. I love RB but Serato Pro is better imo. I've also had NS73, DDJSX2 & Rane 12s. Great review. Your video pushed me more to the SB3. And you now have a new subsciber. Oh and BTW, the SB3 (regular and gold edition) are 15% off at Gutitar Center from their Cyber Monday Sale. Last day for 15% is today. So instead of the regular $250, it's about $220.

The SB3 is a really powerful little controller. The FX section is nicely laid out. And that X-fader looks pretty tight as well. #impressed

If your looking to play on CDJs in the clubs and stuff Rekordbox is really your best option serato has been falling behind with every RB update.
Virtual DJ is great too as it works with almost all controllers and players/mixers.
But play with what you can getting practice in and working with music is more important starting off then wondering what software you should use I tried out all the softwares before choosing rekordbox.
I think Carlo personally uses Traktor for his gigs.

1 am and I'm seeing this new DDJ XP2 with a good amount of videos. Didn't think you would get this product.
This is a little bit off the wall question, but I have ordered a Roland 707M DJ controller and was thinking about getting the XP2 as well. I noticed that the XP2 comes with Rekordbox. I know that I can't use Rekordbox on the Roland DJ 707M, but can I control Rekordbox connected to my computer? The 707M has two USB ports and I could run one computer with Serato and the other with Rekordbox. I told you this was kinds out there and not sure I would even want to do it, but thought it would be interesting.

Hi DJ Carlo! Been following your DJing for a while. I've had my SB3 for a few years and recently the filter FX button has this weird malfunction and wondering if you knew how to fix it? When I press the FX button that says 'Echo Out' it'll echo out but then turn into this high pitch feedback. Any idea what that could be? Thank you!
Hmmm, that's odd. It might be a glitch in Serato! Try changing the FX around, and seeing what happens. If things keep failing, then it might be the SB3's hardware
nice remix/mashup of rihana that was dope.. so the xp2 can be use with serato dj love that. Love this set up as a micro set for smaller gigs.

Bro I’m having a problem. When I let the jog wheel off, the track doesn’t start immediately, it stop for milliseconds, killing my timing, like a kind of lag. How can I solve this issue? I’m using the DDJ-SB3 and serato lite.
