Hey man, I put my email in for the music pack and it's not sending me anything? Can you check if it's broken or something?
Same here bro I'm not getting the music pack
@@TotallyNutz did you get it yet?
Hey, if you could email me. Jamie@wearecrossfader.co.uk and Iâll send the link. Iâll look into why youâre not receiving it too.
@@Crossfader Jamie, do you still have to pay almost 3$ for a .WAV file when you sign for one of these pool subscriptions? or are they cheaper since you pay for the subscription.
Most people who rip songs off CZcams or SoundCloud arenât playing at massive festivals either.
How bad would it really sound on a big system??
steelwiz itâs more noticeable on bigger more powerful speakers. If you just want to practice and maybe mix for a small party 128 kbps will be fine (radio quality). You will notice a huge difference from mixing a 96 kbps track to a 320 kbps. It just wonât sound good. Iâm guessing you just want to mix at home so ripping songs is ok. Just know if you ever want to mix for a large crowd on powerful speakers, get 256 + kbps (320 kbps if possible)
So true...
Believe me a rip will sound bad on a smaller system to. When I first started I had some rips to. Now looking back those songs sound terrible even on just my studio monitors.
No and many are djing for fun and will never play out. Some songs are also hard to get off the beatports or other recordpools especially older tracks
James you are blowing up like an EDM DJ in his prime! Lol. For real you deserve it. Anyone that shares knowledge like you do and helps DJs improve is a great thing.
Yeah I would say most working DJâs in the club scene use Beatport, Traxsource, Bandcamp and BPM Supreme. Most of the popular touring DJ/producer also sell their music on those 4 as well.
FINALLY! been waiting for this kind of content! thumbs up!
Excellent video and thank you for explaining why it's so important to support producers. Well done đ
Oh!!! I was searching for a video like this. Thank you very much.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos...they are great. I am just starting out.
Jamie, thanks, man, for sharing your knowledge with us. Awesome!
Thanks you soo much brother I have just started DJ and brought my first deck yesterday and I was soo worried about music and how I will play but thankfully I clicked on your video thanks uoh soo saved me soo much trouble
This was SUPER helpful, thanks! Subscribed
Big time Beatport user here currently struggling to find inspirational new music so those Record pools will definitely help. Thanks heaps mate. And THANK YOU for making note of youtube rips! I get newbs asking me to play songs from youtube rips all the time. That file ain't going anywhere near my library and sound system.
Please link up on WhatsApp +233540935821 if you are DJ by profession. I will love to work with you.
what your camera set use?
love it. iâll keep up to date w this channel. all things
Thanks Brow! Going to the mentioned links just now.
Virtual DJ 8 now has SoundCloud interface.
Phil great job well done the way you are making effort in educating people about djing GOD BLESS YOU
Crossfader's CZcams Channel is very helpfull. I came across your channel a few week's ago and have watched many video's regarding learning to Dj and so forth. Brilliant channel would highly recommend. Thank you Jamie
Thanks for your input. I lost my library a few months ago, I mean years of music. I was able to save it. But now, I have a lot of updating to do.
Hello Charles D. Morgan Please link up on my personal WhatsApp no +233540935821 if you are DJ by profession. I will love to work with you.
How did u lose it?
1. Compliments 4 your contents! Love itđ„
2. I am a beginner / intermediate dj, i'm getting my first smaller gigs and I wanted to bring my library to the next level. As I have little ressources, i wrote a list with all the (ripped) tracks I have now and all tracks i wanted to have and then payed a 1-month subscription at a recordpool to dl all of them.
If you have the time, I think dis is a cool way for beginners to get hi-qual music for an affordable price!!!
Which record pool did you use?
loved beatport mostly for the stem downloads, being able to download the song in pieces like that was super fun to mix with
You can do that
Please link up on WhatsApp +233540935821 if you are DJ by profession.
Awesome giveaway once again guys! Thanks for giving us all the opportunity! I'm hoping thids vid/giveaway going up on my bday is a sign lol !

Always love the content.
This is absolutely the greatest x max present I v ever got. Thank you so much for making this video right before I buy my self a ddj 400.
Great video lot's of knowledge in here!
Tidal is beautiful!!!
Can't play offline tho
This just helped me very much. Thank you
8 mins left until prize awarded! It 10:52 PM here in Australia!
Anyone watching this looking for Spotify.... Algoriddim dropped support and added SoundCloud and Tidal. They DO have a Mac app now tho that works with most controllers, plug and play, and beginner controllers like DDJ 400 can work on iPad and iPhone with a USB camera card connector. The cool thing about DJ Pro is thereâs real time track separation into âstemsâ (instrumental/ vocals/ even drums can be isolated). That feature is only on iOS so far, but is nice for making DJ edits and then importing to Serato/ your laptop.
Thank you for this crossfader đ
Correction on the Ripping from YTube or whoever else you mentioned. Those converters are beneficial for âUnofficialâ releases. When you can not purchase it, you will have to get a lesser quality version of it that wayâŠ
Is it really that bad quality?
You're the only DJ ever broke down the record pool list from from Virtual DJ to Serato record pool
Very Helpfulđ
Gotta say, Hypeddit is the way to go. Hundreds of songs. The Top 100s alone are worth a look. Thank you Crossfader. This was an awesome tip!
You ROCK Homie!
One of those controller would be really sweet for me this holiday... đđ
A list of links in the description would have been convenient..
Very true
It's fax
Finally a video I wanted. I was wondering how djs get such quality music. I'm guilty of ripping tracks from Souncloud. That was my only source of free music.
DJay Pro 2 is available for Mac and PC. At least in the US.
Sounds really good on my dj equipment qsc speakers
Excellent and informative, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful cheers đ»
this is a good video thank you
Good resources to build our own creats and files.
I primarily download music from BPM Supreme & Beatport. Nice video.
Can you please make a video about how to record and which app is the best recording app?
Thanks! đ§
Donât sell yourself short on Ripping for the right reasons. You can crate dig your face off, find a dizzying array of unique tunes, make edits, and get your feet wet with producing music. Quality will exceed all the other sources because you will have full control of end result.
I run a 24 k QSC rig I admit to downloading from you tube 2 songs I couldn't get ANYWHERE these downloaded at 320 and to be honest after downloading it shock horror found it on a comp cd. So out of curiosity i put both tracks side by side thru my cdj 900s and xone 92....
ABSOLUTELY NO DROP OUT OR DIFFERENCE.... A producer friend of mine couldn't tell each track apart... not sure how people are downloading but by the sound of most ain't doing it right
I buy my music from iTunes and have a subscription to Tidal for real-time requests. I also purchase a DJ Music license from Connect Music Canada, that gives me the right to play music in public that is copyrighted. This way I am paying into the industry that gives me music.
thanks bro it become more easy to find songs a'm from Nepal
But is it reliable to use the music from soundcloud or title? I'm always worried what if it glitches when I need it most if its not a direct download
Alsome !đthanks great video
Thank you!
Thanks for the 411 new to the DJ LIFE I HAVE RIPP MUSIC FROM SOUNDCLOUD SO THANKS AGAIN I HAVE POWER SPEAKERS AND A LAPTOP JUST CANNOT GET MY HANDS ON A DJ CONTROLLER ALL BAD BLESS ME AND BE BLESS Crossfader
Heavy Hits and BPM Supreme record pools are the best for open format. Beat Junkies is great for hip hop: underground, old school, and new.
Hi great vid
I gave you a shout out on my new IDJPool subscription.
Iâve been watching a few of your video in you have excellent information. I thank you for that. I do have a question do you know of dj record pool for Christian music and Latin Christian music??
It depends on your dj system setup I been ripping music for years off CZcams and I do at a huge club witch I connect my setup to the club speakers. And not once has anybody ever complained about the sound quality of my MP3 / MP4 rips. But then too most people on the dance floor are stoned or drunk but ne er a complaint from anybody yet.
Hey man I was just wondering I you can personally hear the difference in sound quality and if not which website do you use to rip songs off
I ripped a lot of songs when I first started and itâs embarrassing how they sound compared to regular files on a real system
@@spencerahenkan4322 youtube
My CZcams rips are at 360kbps so itâs fine.
MOVIL DJS CLUB DJS ARE THERE TO PLAY MUSIC...PPL WANTS TO DANCE..
THEY DONT CARE ABOUT UR DJ SKILLS OR WHERE U GET UR MUSIC FROM.....
Jamie Love the vids :) heres a question for you, hope you can help, how can i find Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike - other level ? all i can find anywhere is the Tomorrowland version from 2015.
I am a spotify user and yet I run on a mac. I recently just purchased a DDJ400 and I am overwhelmed with the many things that one person could do in order to get music. But, what my goal is to learn how to not only tone play, but how can I down load, "piano" like notes onto my controller?
load a piano note into the sampler, then you can play it using the pads. although why not just get a cheap midi controller and play piano sounds properly on garageband or something?
2020 = soundiiz. export anything to everything
I prefer to use the mashup uk because of the range of stuff on there due to throwback intros , acapellas , intros and much more
Thanks for the inside information. What are the best sites for artists to upload to attract dj's for remixing their music?
@Crossfader Thank you so much for this !
Also you can use tidal with yaronzz for lossless flac ;)
Need more info on the kind of file that's best...im running recordbox and need to stay away from the compressed files...whats the best for good quality sound?
I am using The AU to to begin to find techno and house and regurlarly get psytrance about 40 a month. Since it has killer remixes and mashups.
The AU?
Junodownload seems to be a little cheaper than beatport but also try buy direct from the record label if you know the artist/ genre you're looking for! Can sometimes work out cheaper and all the money goes straight to the label and artist
Juno is so underrated
nothing beats giving your customer or crowd quality sound
I thought DJ pools would get new music first but I have heard new music in spotify and amazon before they are available in record pools. That is my only complaint about records pools. You do get many new music but not right off way in some occasions.
Thanks bro đ
I love bpm supreme but wish it had the artwork!
I would have loved if he showed us how some of the sites worked as it relates to the music they offer or the downloads. Love the info but id want to be more aware. Especially bpm supreme
Iâm brand spanking new to digital mixing. I used to be a DJ back in the last millennia (mid 90âs) :) Not quite a boomer though :). Thank you for this info.
Can you make your own extended remix of a song?
Love ur every video its really help me as i am starter dj trying to learn more nd more...hope i win ..
11:23 wooooooooaaaaaaaawwwww
hahahaha
easily amused
Lmao
@@willpowr416 did I laugh? it was a comment on the absurd effect used in the video. so "easily amused" is a stupid observation of the comment.
Hey! A big THANK YOU for the free music! I just bought a ddj flx4 and am waiting for delivery, and this music pack will totally get me up and running! Im a total beginner, but have been making my own beats for 20 years on hardware synths and more recently in REASON. THANK YOU!! Subscribed!
Thank you
Thank you đ
Thanks a lot. U did a great job.
Btw as a bigginer, which format is good to use for djing mixing wav or mp3!?
@Andrew Baker while musics downloading for the set, 320 kbps format is to be used ?? which one have more sound clarity ..?
with all the subscription based ones do you get to download or just use their music?
Where can you get break beats from, streaming or pay service?
Love from India đźđłđźđł
I like to download from CZcams on to tablets which is unorthodox using 2 mixes and watch videos while Djing!
Also keep in mind some songs arenât posted on streaming sites so CZcams and SC
Does the quality remain the same IF... for eg.. I like to download music on the go.. so I'm downloading from dj city on my phone and then later date transferring to my laptop or hard drive.. so transferring the music from device to device after downloading doesn't loose any quality?? Does it??
Test it
Big Thanks
I would honestly suggest ripping songs from youtube before u sign up to a pool. You will allways find what u are lookin for and you can still get the song in 320 kbps. The only downside with getting music from YT is the time and process it takes to actually download the tracks.
All I want is dj controller from my favorite dj and teacher. You are the best brođ
What genres do these record pools specialize in? Looking for House, Disco and Big Room tracks here.
Please link up on WhatsApp +233540935821 if you are DJ by profession. I will love to work with you.
very good help
I have a ton of cds (close to 8k across various genres) but the new computers dont have a disc drive. Does this mean I'd have to buy some sort of external disc player/downloader and create my playlist in that manner?
err....you forgot Traxsource. That's what I use and It's thoroughly recommended
As a performer/DJ, digging is your best tool. You need to hunt for tracks, otherwise you wont stand out. You simply have to figure out your own process for digging, and stick with it
But dig where? Can I get music for free or do I need to buy some subscriptions?
If i use the sc integration or a djpool, does that grant me the allowance to play live with the songs i get over the platform?
I am curious what you say about ripping music from you tube being lower quality does the same apply to cds ripped onto your computer and does it apply to wma ripped files that have been then converted to mp3 online????
I just buy them.
This cost is so much better than the old days before mp3/wav mixing. Back in the old days (hair turning grey) I am just limited to vinyls, and if they sold out, then Iâll have to hunt for it. Vinyl are more expensive and they deteriorate. Itâs heavy, it takes up lots of space in the house (I found a mouse living in my collection once), I might end up buying a record just for 1 track. Add to that about 1/4 of the tracks I wasnât so hot about after I got home and listened to it some more so throes just ended up collecting dust. If the tracks have a flaw (like sometimes they skipped a measure inexplicably) I cannot edit them. Ordering online thru Gemm I was able to have access to lots of vinyl I originally cannot get a hold of, but then it takes time to wait for them to arrive, and shipping adds to the cost, then some tracks I didnât know why I got them after further listen.
Now things are instantaneous, I am not forced to buy the entire album (most of the time), donât take up space, arenât heavy to lug around.
And most of all, I like to support the people out there making the track.
What if you convert a CZcams music to wav will it sound good in a club setting?
