In this video I use transition techniques like loops, cue points, phrase mixing, & dropping on the one.
You can use these songs as transitions in your sets to switch between genres, mainly hip hop & trap.

I think the biggest key that I took away from this video as a new dj, is that it will be much easier (and fun) to be mixing songs im familiar with and enjoy. That way I can do what you did and loop parts of songs as an example even when adding a new song to a mix right away.
Simple and good. As a dj to another. This is easy good transition for beginners to use and take notes on.

Am I correct when I say you really need to know and understand the songs your working with in a session?
Yes! It definitely helps with more creative mixing. I’ll still mix songs I’m not too familiar with but I’ll do a really basic transition to be safe
You just game me a bit of confidence to go out and buy my DJ controller. I’ve been holding back for a while. But now I know there someone taking out quality videos and responds to their community. Subbing and Liking.✌🏾

If you can count to 4 8 16 32, and understand structure, you can mix any song, even if you don't know it.

I’ve just started learning and one of the hardest things for me is knowing what transition to make and when to back out of one that might not work and figure something else out instead, so it’s nice to see this. Thanks for the vid :-)

He probably forgot that he didn't cue Deck B, as well as not adjusting the fader all the way to the left side, so B wouldn't have gone out to master. Its a common mistake with newbies, but "pro's" does it too xP

Instead of using the upfader to play with the audio play with the crossfader and set the curve all the way up, so it's a scratching curve.
