  • In this video I show you how to fix foundation cracks in less than 60 seconds. #shorts
The steps to repairing your concrete foundation cracks are as follows:
    1. Clean the area and rough up the surface of the foundation around the crack.
    2. Mix up hydraulic cement to a clay-like consistency.
    3. Apply the hydraulic cement to the concrete foundation crack.
Obviously, there may be a bit more to your individual situation. If the crack extends down to the ground, I recommend that you excavate down to inspect the damage below grade (if you are able). For minor cracks, the solution in this video is likely adequate. However, if the crack is severe or extends through the entire foundation, there are other more involved repair tactics that should likely be used.

    Thanks for watching everyone!
This is just a quick fix for superficial cracks. This crack was only visible on the outside of the foundation. If your foundation crack is more serious, please get it professionally evaluated. Thanks,

Could this product be used in minor driveway cracks? Just to prevent weeds. I previously used some stuff I had to use a caulking gun for, but my arms and hands have gotten pretty beat up over the years and it was way too hard to finish what I did, let alone do anymore

Remember to wash the wall with soap and water, and then again with a wire brush and concrete etch and then scrub again with just plain water to rinse any remaining residue off before applying any kind of hydro cement. It does not bond to dirt.

I doubt that repair will last more than 6 months before it cracks again.
All you did was cosmetically fix it and not stop the crack from happening again. I also doubt that mix went any more than 1cm into the crack.
Look into crack stitching for a more permanent fix.

This isn't fixing foundation cracks , this is just a hiding them.

Does it not seal the crack from the outside to keep water from entering?

I have water getting in through cracks that even smaller/thinner than those in this videos. Ruined my flooring. I thought hydraulic cement was the fix?!?!?! Damn I hate not knowing what I'm doing.

@@7kardia750 no, because the crack extends into the ground where you cant see it and where all the water pressure is. You need an epoxy solution that gets injected under pressure. its like 70$ and penetrates deep into the crack, then expands and seals it.

You gotta do the injected epoxy thing or you're just doing a temporary cosmetic coverup.

You definitely were to the point and credible.. thanks.. as opposed to those fricking jack-wads who spend 25 minutes thinking they are so oh scientific and scaring home owner’s that just need to make a simple repair.

"scaring home owner’s that just need to make a simple repair" There is hundreds of ways a crack can form and hundreds of degrees of severity of a crack. You have to address those first. You cannot change the facts of what has started on your house. Whether it's a foundation settling, concrete shrinkage, or water pushing the wall inward, or a sinkhole collapsing under the wall, you just don't know. That's why there are experts and contractors.
If the crack goes all the way through the wall, a crack like this I would pin and injection seal first and then hydro cement it. The crack in this video just looks like a superficial crack in the parge coating.
