Is it just me or is it so satisfying when the piano kicks in, and the anouncer says "12pm in London, 7am in Philadelphia, and around the world its time for Live Aid!"
This is the last movie my mom saw in theaters before she passed away in 2019. I saw it three times in theaters and I own the Blu Ray. I’m glad she saw it with us and loved it. She even got a crush on Freddie after seeing this movie. This movie will always hold a special place in my heart.
"Somebody to Love" was Freddie's and his mother's favorite song. It's also mine. I am glad that it was the first song in the movie.

I know that it's Freddie's favourite song but I don't think it's also his mother's favourite. 😁 When I saw the movie, I haven't listened the full version of this song yet. But after the movie, I'm deeply in love with it. It has such a wonderful vibe. 😁
I was 12 years old when Somebody To Love came out. It has been my favorite song since then. I was so happy to find out it's also Freddie and his mum's! I'm 56 now.
@@educatednegro5897 haha. Well, you can youtube U2 Live Aid '85. And Bono wears the same thing. It's somewhat officially out there, that's U2 walking down. But that's inaccurate because U2 never went up right before Queen. It was Dire Straits if im not mistaken.
Time to watch the movie...again...it was so awesome. I cried in the theatre and had to compose myself before I left. I love and miss you so much, Freddie. We all do. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.
The first moment, the first sound of the openning is insane, who didn´t love queen, after this movie fell in love, my god, he was the king of the world, we never gonna live enough for see someone like Fred.
I'm so pissed the movie didn't get Best Picture at the Oscars! 😡 From beginning to end it's a magnificent piece of cinematic artistry.... Thank you, Cian for posting all these clips! 😊

If you freeze the image @ 2:43, you will notice that one of the rings of the roadie pushing a flight case, has the emblem of a Square and a Compass. It's a clear subliminal message that either someone was involved in Freemasonry in the making of the movie, or that it may be true that Freddie was a Rosicrucian, therefore a Freemason too. Absolutely nothing wrong with it but I did notice this the first time I saw such a beautiful movie. Carus Alambra :-)
I haven't seen anyone else bring this up. Has nobody noticed that technically the real Brian May and Roger Taylor make cameos in the first few minutes? When they show the actual footage of Princess Diana, they're standing right behind her. Brian is unmistakable, and Roger is the guy in sunglasses right behind her. You can even see her looking over to her. Whenever you see pictures of it up close, he always looked at Diana like a 5 year old who just saw Superman or something. You can pause it at the moment and see Brian and Roger. 1:29

What an amazing film! I just was able to sit and watch this and I loved it! Didn't know what to expect but I was so happy they didn't end the film and basically base the entire film on his sexuality and sexual desire and what truly what caused him to lose his life to AIDS! So well done focusing on what truly mattered when it came to Freddie Mercury and Queen and the talent they had and why they are one of the most loved bands and musicians still to this day! I watched the documentary and saw the raw details of what his life was like struggling with this terrible disease and how he was at the end of his life! I didn't want to rewatch that and was thrilled this movie was not based on that part of his life! Freddie and Queen were so much more than 4 letters, AIDS!

Holy shit I never caught that! Good eye!
I dont get this. It’s not U2 it’s Dire Straits. The reason this is is because U2 were before dire straits and THEY were before queen.

2:59 best part for me
Freddie casually throwing out his arms across Bono at 3:09. Imagine the crew behind the scenes of the real event and all the legends they witnessed.
