I won’t cut my locs to get brand deals.

- Some months ago, a hair company reached out to me to collaborate and work together but they wanted me to cut my locs first. I tried to show them that my locs would not be a hindrance, as people with locs can still wear wigs and hair extensions but it was useless. Btw, they're not the first to have treated me differently because of my locs but this particular encounter left me feeling discouraged. I'm not sharing this video to be controversial but to start a conversation about my type of natural hair and the stigma I've faced. What do you think? Let's chat in the comment section below and please share this video with others 🫶🏽

Took the words right out of my mouth. There are creators who are loose naturals. Why look for a creator who has locs, then ask them to take it off? For a brand deal that would last how long? E tire me. Sigh.
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous and it’s very deserving of attention from brands. Big ups to L’Oréal for taking the initiative❤️
thank you so much! 🥺🤍
5:09 I'm commenting a lot but this video is just so good haha. I think it's also because even though locs are becoming a little more mainstream than they used to be, people still don't know what can be done with them. For example, Chloe and Halle, I have no idea what magic their stylist is doing but they can wear extensions, knotless braids and a ton of other cute styles. Even with their trad locs that are a little chunkier! I mean, locs are definitely not a limitation like many people believe. It's just a different kind of natural, and we can have as much fun on this side of the divide with our hair too :)
They definitely redefine the belief that locs are monotonous/limiting.
Even as a loose natural hair cConsultant and CZcamsr, I totally agree with you. Locs are another authentic form of natural hair and deserves to recognized as such. 🌸
I have definitely been asked many many times “Do you wash your hair?” And I so want to respond back with the same question lol but I, like you sis, have realized that there is a negative connotation associated with locs. Whether that’s we dont wash them, or take care if them. But I travel quite a bit with my ministry around the world all year, and we get called Rastas a lot. And people also think that people with Locs smoke weed. But then I realized that it is an opportunity to share Jesus and say “I am not Rasta, I am a child of God. Do you know Him?” Or something like that , but yeah sis.
Your hair looks so good by the way! Super proud of you. Also, super stoked on this masterclass because I want to grow my youtube channel, and every time I tell a friend about it, you are someone that I always mention and say I love your videos and how you edit/create etc.
So good!! Thanks for sharing the gospel with every opportunity you’ve got
Testimony time!!! We thank God for the life of sister Ezinne.
Did you just call me Bright Lighttttt 🤭😊😁
Yes pleaseeee 💃😁
Petition for Ezinne to make longer vlogs😔😭💜
The audacity of the brand omg? 💀
It was really disappointing because I tried to show them that my locs would not be a hindrance, as people with locs can still wear wigs and hair extensions but they did not care 😂💀
@@EzinneZara well, their loss.
@@EzinneZaralike they have an agenda to discourage people from wearing locs.
As a Ghanaian, all I can say is "eeeei" 😂 because what caliber or degree of effontery is this? Chai!
@@ReenelT it's just shocking 😭
I'm on locs, and the audacity of this brand is sending me. Take out your locs as how? 😭
Thank you Mama for always sharing and inspiring the world❤There's God in heaven who answers prayers and i am a living testimony 🕊
I have my bowl of popcorn in hand... it's showtime!!!
Thanks for sharing Ezinne.. I had a similar experience of the ear ache while I was in junior sec school... It was aching so much at about the early hours of the day... I asked the lord for mercy, just crying out to him and the exact experience of something pouring out of it ear was what I experienced and ever since then till date, I have never had to go to the hospital for an aching ear.. I was Divinely healed🥺... God answers prayers for!❤
That's how my mom used to shout against having locs before. but she now has locs 😂and I haven't even loced mine
I had to pause your video and comment!!! Thank you for making this video!! I was harassed in my school because of my locs and tagged a smoker! I’ve NEVER been stereotyped negatively in my life. I almost cried. Thankfully, people know me enough in school to know that I’m not a stoner. But, it was such a terrible experience 😭😭 it is well and to think in the olden days African carried locssss/dreads!!! And it was beautiful
8:52 That voiceover tho😍😍🥰🤗
As a fellow loc sister in Christ, the struggle is REAL and so is the stigma. It doesn't stop me from loving my locs - they're so beautiful and so are yours! I'm really glad you spoke on this issue and I pray that your ear is completely healed in Jesus' name, amen
Loved every part of this video:
1. From The Masterclass,
2. The L'Oréal update and hair journey,
3. The odyssey of makeup headaches and not stressing,
4. The Healing of the ear,
5. The taking out time to pray and overcoming Satan's tricks,
6. The warming of stew and making dinner before leaving 😅,
6. To even the amazing interior visuals of the house.
This content is a whole meal! 💯
Coincidentally, I was just thinking about cutting my hair and starting afresh. Plus, I was at a Kingdom Wealth Academy session and I remember thinking that...learning how to be a CZcamsr is a necessary skill in the times we are in. People need a platform to be flexible and creative.
So thanks for this. ❤❤❤🎉
I cannot stress over things I don’t control 😂😂😂😂 that’s me
You're actually the reason I considered getting locks but I don't know how they'll look and be maintained with relaxed hair
I love your locs and I’m glad that L’oreal took the initiative to include the loc’ed girlies. That other brand has a lot of audacity sha, it’s crazy.
At 90+k!
It's almost unbelievable and yet, it is so!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yooo🎉🎉🎉
I've been anticipating 🥰🔥
Yeah
I thought its just me
I pray about everything even as little as headache, sometimes I laugh at myself from within. However, I have gotten to understand I shouldn't run to man first no matter what but God.
Yes ooo, someone told me that she does not like my loc’s but I was like that’s a you problem not mine. I love my loc’s and not even people talk can change that for me.
I thank God you are healed ❤️❤️
Thank you so much ezinne for alway representing ❤❤❤

This is lovely😍
Amazing video Ezinne ✨❤️
my aunty has her hair locked for more than 7yrs and everyday i'm close to locking mine bcos of her and how cool it is...i'm an advocate of it and it def. looks good on you❤
I enjoyed this vlog. Everything was just so seamless. The different clips merging together, the voice overs, perfect.
I’m so sorry about the pain😫. Organs we think are little can cause so much painn, kind of like toothaches too. God is so kind, thank God for healing you. May you be kept in perfect health.

This was so fun to watch loved seeing you in your day routine feels real 😌🫶🏻
This video has such a cozy feel to it. I love it 😍🤍🤍
I loveeeeeeeeeee your brows
I've actually been thinking about your hair recently, because I saw the video where you locd your hair in July 2022, I finally decided to loc mine last year when I saw how pretty your hair had grown.
Now imagine when I clicked on this video, I was like ehn? Say wetin? Some of these brands sef 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Ezinne please release a video on how you maintain your locs and let them grow so long, with the products as well because I realized I dove into locs straight away without much research or knowledge.
Love you Ezinne ❤
Your hair is flourishinggggggggg
L’Oréal because they are a business and can see that the market of people with locs,is growing and they need to cater for them to make money.
I love you so so much, dear Ezzine🤎
Watching you talk is so soothing.
Thank you!
😍
Every kind of hair is beautiful 💫💫
Now this is one person I would actually love to buy her YT masterclass if I could afford it
Always a motivation, Ezinne. I love the woman you are! ❤
Love your hair!❤️
Quick question: Does locking your hair make it grow faster?
Hey Ezinne much love from Cameroon, happy to have you back ❤
I love this Vlog.Continue being a role model for natural beauty ❤👍
I’m glad to hear you feel better about your ear too
I’ve been having some sort of ear block too that’s just uncomfortable because it’s like air is trapped and I can’t seem to get it out since 3 days 😩
But I pray it does clear off eventually…
I got my locs after seeing yours. I can wear any hair style or extensions on it but I decided to take it down recently but feels like I might change my mind 😂
Yess!I have locks too and I love them so much.
You deserve everything ma'am.
Such a beautiful video❤. Thank GOD for healing 🙏🏾.
I can relate to the part where you said your mum didn't want you to have locs. I'm a teenager and I'm definitely going to loc my hair soon. Nothing will stop it😂😂😂❤
8:53 I love your locs, btw. You look really be autiful. Thank you for representing loc'd girlies ✨
You are a blessed woman, through and through. I always look forward to everything you put out.
Your channel is one of the best I know on YT❤
It's the audacity for me. How would you want someone to cut their hair? Their loss!
Your locs are literally soo beautiful! Pls don’t listen to them abeg! You hair is an inspiration
Big up the people who have locs. I have locs and I love them thank you for representing the locd girlies. Locs are truly beautiful and yours look so healthy and beautiful 😍
Thank you so much.
I have been trying to convince my parents to let me loc
Thank you for not backing down! You gained a new subscriber
You are beautiful and Jesus loves you so much!❤️
This is a confirmation for me oo to get this baby on my head locccccccc .Ezinne and Tolulope Solution is my Inspiration and I admire to see my hair flourish in a different form. HALLELUYAH O😂...thank u for sharing.
Wow😮
Thank God for healing your ear. This is relatable ❤
I can so relate to the prejudice people have about people with locs. The time I discovered Ezinne decided to have sisterlocs, I was screaming. I've had mine on now for 4 years and trust me, it's still a struggle making people understand that you're not dirty or a rascal because you have locs. The struggle is real.
Thank God for his healing and quick recovery upon you Ezinne❤. And your locs is so gorgeous, it reveals years of intentionality to growth..more deserving brands like L'Oréal.❤❤❤
This make up thing was me this morning. I always look different on make up and I prefer my natural face
Thank God for the healing, I pray that it’s perfected🙏🏾
Love 💕 this video and also an advice to some hair brands should respect someone decision on what they will do to their hair, it's important to respect your future ambassador 😊 that's it good to ask for their opinion first it makes the collaboration easier and stress-free ❤
I have locs and I love your locs, your locs is one of the things that brought me here.
Did you laminate your brows though? They look absolutely lovely
Hii I have missed you ❤❤
Hi Ezinne 👋
Please I have a question? Where did you get your locs done?
You look beautiful BTW ❤
pleaseeee I'm running into your class. Can't wait!
Yayyy 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
I love you so much sis Ezinne💖,yh God healing your ear ache, just reminds me that God is interested in the little things that happens in our liives.
I could relate so much with the pain you said you felt and the next response being prayer especially really late in the night...
I just kept saying Thank you Jesus while you were sharing your testimony and when you said it felt like water poured out and all of a sudden your ear felt better, I'm like Yes, God did it...
Thank you Ezinne for sharing..
And yes your hair is beautiful and you're right about how locs should also be recognized as a type of natural hair, because the truth is, It Is.
I feel like there's this freshness to your videos🍃. It's so clear that there is growth on all sides too. I get so emotional when I see progress in people's lives (courtesy of God❤).
Thank you so much, Ezinne, for this great video. Watching you inspires me in ways I cannot tell. And yeah, a YT masterclass is what every aspiring CZcamsr like me needs😊❤
Oh! And for that brand... Whyyyy? 🙄
Your loc's are really really pretty, ma'am!
I genuinely did have a struggle with loc's too at a point (especially bigger sizes) because of the regular African stereotypical loc look. Now, I've recently come to see that it can be so pretty if it is actually really well taken care of and the stereotype comes from so many bad experiences people have had/ heard. People have had bad experiences, really. 😂
I believe you and others who are actually taking care of it and looking good may gradually bring a different view point from the regular African stereotype.
Thank youuuu!
Honestly sis
I’m just so happy I saw your page through family
A no make up girlie like meee 😂😅
I don’t even know how I got to this point… I always wanted to learn it.. I believe I can tho 🥲 but I really have lil to no interest
I jus admire other girlies that really do it well
As at now, I’m a mascara and eye liner, lip balm and lipstick girlie 😂
And I’m good to goooo 😂
As well as the skincare… decided to make sure my skin and face looks sooooo goood🤤 with right skincare products
Thanks for representing the loc'd community. I'm curious at to how you achieve your curls. They're really pretty.
I already followed in your footsteps and evangelized the gospel of Ezinne’s microtwists to a couple of people o. We are getting many.
Yaaayyyyyyyy it's Friday💃🏾.
Friday 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
One thing about locs is that it grows so well 😊my aunt had hers for four years before she cut it (was about 14 inches to 16 inches)
That audio about feminine energy, I love it. I took my time to listen to it. Please where can I get it from? Also, when the point where you were like you told mom about getting locs and she was like no, I can relate. When I heard my mom's reply I couldn't help but laugh.
Thank God for this healing. We do not take it for granted, Lord . 🙌
Lord please I would really love to attend this class…. Provide for me 🙇♀️
Thank you for sharing.
Your locs is what you want, nobody should tell you to take it out
so grateful to God for your ear
Thank you God for Ezinne
I can't believe this is a thing. Did i think locs are different? Yes, in the sense that you can't comb it like a loose natural hair but to think people don't consider it to be a natural hair is just absurd. If anything they should want to work with you to show how diverse their product can be and it's not just for a certain type of hair but for all. Thanks for the enlightment and i hope with this video people are able to see that locks are also natural hair. ❤
