If a guy ended your season and then hit you again, you’re allowed to be pissed. He didn’t charge the mound, so I don’t see how fiers can complain about how Stanton reacted after being hit with a 90+ mph pitch.
Yeah, even if you know he didn’t do it on purpose, I’d still get mad, almost every human would do the same
Personally I see both sides it looked like an accident but if someone sent you to the hospital before and then almost does it again that can be angering/scary
A Janitor he was the one who did it to himself actually he faced to the pitch and got hit
Kuruma Uzamaki Dude....the ball was headed straight for his face. A baseball (when thrown) is like a bullet. How in the fuck are you supposed to dodge or move out of the way of that?
A Janitor 100%
Random Things you don’t have to dodge it just let it hit your helmet even though people can dodge it if their quick Stanton started to swing because of how aggressive he is so it hit him in the head being his own fault he leaned into it
CJ P. He leaned into the pitch how is that not his fault
"Don't hit me." "Is there any better revenge than hitting a 456 foot homer?" 😂😂💀
"It was nice, a win would be better."
I got one a 500 foot homer grand slam
Obviously he didn't mean to hit Stanton [any of the times] but......if I was Stanton I would feel the same way. He was hit in the face and had to go through a lot (mentally and physically) and the same person who hit him [the previous time] then comes in with a pitch again and hits him again, who could really blame Stanton for his reaction.
any of the 27 teams and every Boston Red Sox fan that have lost to the Yanks
I mean he knew inside pitches are part of the game. Can't handle the heat get out of the box! It was a pitch that got away. Stanton is a diva
@@ldaws-3912 have you ever been hit in the face by a baseball going 85 to 90+ MPH and hurt or scarred? You eventually move in from it, but there's no denying that it'll sting and stick in your memory for a while. While an unintentional hbp, his reaction was understandable.
@@josewmeldondo but yes it isn't the best feeling as a hitter but pitchers gotta be able to go inside or guys like Stanton, or even college kids would smash the ball..
he just happened to hit stanton again ?
Stanton and Judge would whip everyone’s ass. They’re real-life Kane and Undertaker.
No, they'd probably swing and miss
Xander Motif Theyre real life fake wrestlers? Lol
pickzkickz Fake wrestlers? Dude, sometimes they get hurt. Ever heard of injuries in WWE? Anyway, they can still kick ass.
dawgsfañ1196 Lmao
Random Things so, UFC and ncaa injuries are worst, why, because it's real
Stanton's reaction is not childish at all...hes 100% within his right to react that way
Nah, it's childish. The pitch was up and in and knicked him on the elbow because he's too fkn slow to move his arm back 4 inches. It's not like Fires threw at his face again, he was just trying to get the guy out, he's a great hitter. Gotta be crafty. Stanton acted like a fool.
@@greysonG10 he got hit by a pitch a year later by the same pitcher after putting him out for a season …

Bro Stanton sounds like Dwayne Johnson
Yea he does
Well they both played in Miami
I actually came to the comments to say the the same thing. He really looks and sounds just like him. 😂
They both took their talents to south beach along with lebron
They look the same too , it’s crazy to me that he’s not Samoan
I wonder if the roles were reversed and Fiers was hit in the face by Stanton’s pitch he wouldn’t act worse than Stanton did after getting plunked again. That Homerun was sweet revenge. It wasn’t intentional but anyone would be angry in that situation.
loved it when Stanton pointed at fiers after he homered.
I don't blame Stanton at all. Mike Fiers beamed Stanton in the face two years ago and he missed the rest of the season and that kinda cost the Marlins season that year if I'm not mistaken, think they were in the playoff race that year.
Brandon S you are mistaken they were not... Fake news!
peter blumpkin They were in the playoff race... they were fighting for the wildcard spot
Im a tigers fan and i dont blame him one bit! But i dont think Fiers meant it honestly !
It cost Stanton an MVP as well. He should be a two-time MVP.
If everyone who got hit in the head by a pitch turned facing the ball like Stanton, wed have a ton more broken faces.
I love how fires smiled after Stanton pointed at him no hard feelings
Oh really? You love that?
Cause he lobbed it for him to show he wasn’t being malice lol no way you throw a breaking ball that high 0-2 lol
@@jongrose5870 that was a kind of low breaki g pitch just straight cheeks movements
@@thesenate5245 yeah but you do breaking balls in the dirt not above the knee lol
@@jongrose5870 Lmaoo bro what r u talking abt that ball wasn’t even high 😂😂😂 pause the the video once Stanton hits it and look where the ball is at
I just can’t stop laughing while Fiers was getting interviewed😂😂 lmaooo
You cannot tell me, that Stanton doesn't favor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson lol.
What was Fiers doing walking towards Stanton at all? He was walking towards first...sure he was yapping a bit, but the dude just got hit by a fastball. When a pitcher hits a guy, then you walk towards him yapping yourself...what do you think is going to happen? Do you think the batter is just going to say...."You're right, by bad, i shouldn't be upset" He almost ended Stanton's career...he gets to be upset when you hit him again.
Good luck fighting Stanton he is a monster
He may not have meant it but if there’s a history of this and his season ended the last time, you sure as hell would take it personal.
Dueche-bag in the crowd clapping... guy's never thrown a punch in his life.
I don't blame Stanton for reacting that way.I would've done the same thing.glad he hit that homerun off him to.
Exactly
I like how Stanton shakes off the pain and get revenge on Mike Fiers. At least he doesn't have to think about hit by pitch in the face back in Milwaukee
Atta boy Stanton
One of y'all should make GIF's of these..

· 3:45-3:51
I’m sorry but I got to say he is thicc
Rowebros42 II fax haha

Now THIS is what the video should be about. MLB needs to stop this biased BS and give the fans what they really want.

I see all of these comments about their fight and then I come across this beauty. Good lord I love Major League Baseball
Stanton bar flip was everything
Fiers hung that pitch for Stanton on purpose. Fiers almost smiled watching him run the bases. Stanton pointed at him for a reason. Fiers paid his debt and Stanton knew it.
I don't think he was trying to hit him. After the pitch to the face he was probably trying to avoid hitting, which messed with his psyche
weird kid. nothings wrong with weird obviously neither hbps were intentional but there has to be some tension and some suspicion when the same guy who almost ended your career hits you again 3 years later
If he doesnt know how to pitch to stanton just walk him
You're dumb
la dolcissima effige tenote giacomini
Thinking the same lol
Greatest home run trot of all time. Stanton was completely justified. The guy couldve ended his career. Even if it wasnt intentional, and nobody thinks it was including Stanton, the one guy you’d make sure you’d never hit, ever, it’s the guy you hit in the face in the past. And bullshit “it’s not part of the game.” A nice bat flip and Home run trot has always been part of the game.
Hmm..always?
Based on the devastation that Fiers caused Stanton in 2014 he should have been mature and professional and not argue back. Stanton got the best revenge other than drilling the ball right back into his face.
Still got the L so not really any revenge.
sctr1235 shut the fuck up
Cory Sandefer aww did I offend the poor yankee fan. Go to your safe space along with the L they took.
Cory Sandefer omg shut up, just another dumbass Yankee fan that doesn’t know baseball.
Cory Sandefer your trying too hard dude. Making yourself look stupid.
He sounds like The Rock😂
That's the first thing I thought of too! Lol!
Me personally I loved it. This is what makes sports great. Rivalries, trash talk, showboating, bat flips & fist pumping etc. nobody wants to see guys (ESPECIALLY IN BASEBALL) go out & just play the game like a bunch of robots. We want to see EMOTION & EXCITEMENT
Feel however you want about Stanton’s performance or underperformance with the Yankees but remember that that dude is an NFL middle line backer up there. You don’t want those problems.
I see you 👀 7:29
Miggy is awesome
CaptainCanada lol that’s not miggy
Moneymaker oh. I only got a glance but now that i look at it again yeah it isn’t. But it’s something miggy would do
Lol
“Hanging breaking ball”. Yeah in slow motion dude. My mans just went and GOT THAT.
I don’t blame Giancarlo. Getting hit in the face like that, you don’t just brush that off like nothing, and it’s natural to be pissed at a deja vu pitch from the same guy.
Wether he was trying to hit him or not(I honestly don’t think he was) this has to be one of the best revenge moments in all of baseball. Being from south Florida and a Miami fan, that hit to Stantons face was TOUGH. That homer had to feel good!
Nobody is right--Nobody is wrong~~3 takes~~1~~ Fiers clearly was not acting with intent. His reaction, the scoreboard, and the situational play all point to that~~2~~Stanton in the past was in a precarious situation with Fiers involved; Stanton's reaction is therefore understandable. ~~3~~As far as the bat flip and the pointing and Stanton "showing up Fiers"--GOOD!! Baseball needs more of this !!! More rivalry More FUN! more personality!!! LESS UNWRITTEN CODE BULLSHIT.---Fiers is entitled to his opinion, but baseball desperately needs a rejuvenation. If the sport wants to survive and maintain itself among the other major 3 American sports then there needs to be younger people watching, playing, attending but most of all; enjoying. It needs to be fun to play the game. The mindset of some of the players concerning bat flips and and showing guys up and not getting too emotional or celebratory is antiquated thinking--as well as general ridiculousness. Jose Bautista's bat flip after that incredible home run in the Toronto-Texas series a few years ago was one of the best moments in Baseball I've seen in years! True unbridled emotion. Amazing raw energy throughout the Rogers Centre. And what is so awful with showing some of that now and again..
My son was in the rotation with Mike Fiers in college. He has had a long history of letting pitches get away from him. He led the team in hit batsman, but it was not intentional.
Savage Stanton
That awkward moment as a Marlin fan seeing both former franchise players standing at first base 😩
The Marlins love to trade their best.
Can’t say I blame Giancarlo for reacting that way.
I love u giancarlo
I'm Yanks fan.i understand gstanton but he was trying to hitting him juts pitch out of location.
I hope this guys meet and fix this things for the good of sports
calling him childish is uncalled for even if he was, Fiers shouldn't have used those words.
Bit childish of him if you ask me. Last time he hit Stanton the man was out for the remainder of a season. Sure Stanton could've handled it better, but even so, he had all the right to handle it how he did
+Silver Abcod He did handle it better, by hitting a homer next time up. No sarcasm intended.
Hey Girandole, don;t be childish
this thread is getting a little childish in here
Because hitting a baseball 470 ft is definitely a child can easily do
Stanton was having flashbacks
Looking at this now as an Astros fan is just satisfying
Stanton could be dead and this fool calls him "childish".
Fiers, be a professional. Be a man.
You have no humility or sensitivity and are an embarrassment to this game. You had no business coming off the mound in the first place.
Ignorant comments come from people who don't know baseball and/or don't know how to put themselves in other people's shoes. Considering what he did to this man before, his heart should have been pounding just like Stanton's if it was truly unintentional and if he had ANY amount of remorse left from the first one.
Stanton's career could have been ended physically and/or psychologically as has happened to many others.
We all know the first one was not intentional but the man needs to get control at some point. Stanton can't be blamed for his reaction and I'm actually proud of him for not taking it any further or allowing it to affect his gameplay.
There's a big difference between approval of someone's reaction and understanding it, being empathetic.
Rashida Shaw agree 100% and the pitcher didn’t even tip his hat either 🧢
If I were hit with an object thrown at me at 80 to 90 mph, hell, half the speed, I would not be in the frame of mind to begin judging another's intentions. All I know is that the result hurts.
What happens next is anyone's guess.
This game was on April 15th. I just have a gut feeling.
This is just beautiful
People I'm telling you KARMA IS REAL
Any one remember 2014 with the brewers and the marlins
If you think Stanton was just going to brush that off that's funny. Miami was in a Postseason race the year he got hit and he took that personally since there was a chance of winning something with Jose. Then Fiers hits him again. You can't blame Stanton for the way he responded.
GREAT
His eye brow game is losing as well
Mike Fiers is a nice guy. He pitched in Milwaukee for a while he never would try to hit a guy.
They both got messed up mentally by the incident, but Stanton much more. I don’t blame him at all, your brain goes into fight or flight mode, especially after getting hit by the same person. Stanton chose fight.
I love Stanton
Fiers is pitching against the Yankees tomorrow (9/5/18), I’m convinced he’s going to throw a pitch at his back
Catcher did a good job preventing the fight though that would be fun to watch
5:28 Childish??? I don't think Stanton acted childish especially with the history. Did he maybe overreact maybe but it wasn't childish. Fiers lol cheat all year win a ring and then snitch lmao. Guy's a punk.
Mike was so salty! Looked like he wanted to break down and cry.
Mike Fiers is a nice guy. He pitched in Milwaukee for a while he never would try to hit a guy.
i'm a Yankee fan, and I understand the history. Stanton has a right to be pissed off, but that plunk on the elbow was obviously not intentional.
Every Yankees fan will be blind to mike fires reaction BOTH times
DON’T mess with STANTON!!! HE WILL MAKE YOU PAY 😉😊😊
Reminds me of Bautista
I get it. It went down without major incident. It happened the right way. Stanton should be able to flip his bat and point and put it behind him and keep playing. Fiers walked away with his health, and Stanton got to put it to rest.
Stanton reminds me of The Rock lol
That fiers interview at the end was one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard
MiCMaCToE CK 100%!!!
i don't think he was trying to hit him idk
Obey Glixity buahahahaha
Looked to me like he grooved that pitch for thr homerun
I like how he just hit a homer and then pointed at fiers
Jackie Robinson day uploaded on June 4th?
they wear them the whole month
JR day game got rained out so they wore the jerseys today when they made up the JR day game
This game was a makeup from April.
C00per That's was today. It was a makeup game for April 15, which was rainout.
C00per the game on Jackie Robinson day was postponed, so they made it up today and even all wore 42.
Didn’t mean to intentionally hit him. But he has to be an idiot to think Stanton wont take exception to the guy who ended his season 4 years ago. All Fiers had to do was ignore him. And then the immature comments at the end.
He try’s to get back at Fiers with the showboaters trot and point, Fiers was never phased. Smiled and took the win.
Stanton handles the rabid NYC media way better then i thought he would. Love how he smirks every time one of them ask a stupid question. You flipped your bat? ....Yea
Guess who’s getting beaned next time they face
It should be squashed. McCann wanted nothing to do with after Stanton pimped that jack. That’s because the Tigers couldn’t blame him.
Fiers when Stanton knocks him the fuck off afterwords.
Whether it was intentional or not, dude got to watch where he’s pitching. This time it’s the elbow, next time it’s the head. Say I’m a pitcher with no control and just beans Mike Trout in the face. I didn’t mean it necessarily but I didn’t take the precautions to make sure it didn’t happen. No doubt the batter would be pissed off, especially a big time player like Stanton.
Jeffrey L that might be the dumbest comment on the thread. If pitchers could perfectly place their pitches everytime, that would be quite astounding. But they can't. Pitches get away from the pitchers. Shit happens. You can take all the precautions you want, sometimes shit happens. Comment on another sport cause you clearly dont know baseball.
Exactly
Especially when you know you’ve done it to the same guy before
Tyler Owens the point is he shouldn’t be throwing anything that might get remotely close to hitting him.
Obviously pitches get away. I'm not saying he did it intentionally or even that he's wrong for throwing inside. I'm just saying I can see why Stanton's pissed. Put yourself in his shoes, the dude ended your season and beaned you in the face. You best not throw up and in again.
Not intentional but Fiers likes to pitch high and inside. More like careless with the way he pitches.
Best thumbnail ever
Look at how Fiers reacted both after the original hit to the face and this one. Both times he clearly shows remorse, he literally says, "I'M NOT TRYING TO HIT YOU!" after this one. Anyone talking shit about him is an idiot. He's a good dude.
Stanton is a big guy he can take it
the hr after the hbp must've been so sweet beyond words but most importantly I hope it recharges some fire in him. tonight he's hitting great, better contact. who am I to argue but that closed stance just looks so limiting.
Fiers smiled after he hit the homer lmao
Revenge? Fiers didn't mean to hit him in the first place... quit over-hyping a wild pitch upand inside.
Joel Fritsma question, how do you know he didn’t mean to hit him?
Joel Fritsma Doesn't matter if was a purpose pitch or not.. If you have history this shit will happened period.. If you cant come inside without hitting players in the Face then you don't belong in the big leagues anyway
Anthony Sosa You can tell by a pitchers reaction if he did something intentional.
John Pumpernickel No you cant
Anthony Sosa if you know baseball, you now he wasn't trying to hit him. Completely senseless.
Fiers....the slowest pitcher in the league. I was at the game tonight, he ruins the game with his slow pace! I hope he's sent down to Toledo.
i really am not a fan of starters who come into games with a real lack of control from the get go. i cant believe we signed him honestly. wouldnt mind a young guy taking his spot even if hes worse
Ruben Duke any major league pitcher can send someone to the hospital with a fastball to the face
Donny Detroit what about paul blackburn
Was obviously not forgotten
This with close eyes( the song ) is the best I even made an edit about it
hitters expect pitchers to be perfect with their location every single time. they're human, no one is perfect. the ball will slip and get away sometimes. Jeter should teach a lot of guys a lesson about class
im saying that every HBP in todays game people think its on purpose. ALMOST none of them are on purpose. now that stanton admired that homer then pointed at fiers, theres bad blood. potentially guys are gonna get thrown at and get hurt. all because of an accident. thats not baseball.
Yeah I’m a Yankee fan and a Giancarlo fan but Fiers was the bigger man here
-KIMG- And how the hell was he a bigger man? He purposely hit him so obviously not. Don't call yourself a Yankees fan dumbass.
parkour master you can tell fiers wasn't trying to intentionally hit him
I love objective fans.. I don't blame Stanton for being irritated & he even acknowledge that Fliers didn't try to hit him after the game but he can't try to intimidate Fliers from not pitching him inside ever again especially since we saw how Stanton crushed that breaking ball over the heart of the plate.. revenge, payback whatever if you need to call it that you got it with the homer but the over the top antics was shameful. I always rooted for Stanton from a far & still admire his talents. As a Tigers fan who doesn't mindlessly hate on NYY & was glad that he landed their but maybe the Yankees should have signed J.D Martinez instead.& I hate Boston always especially after 2013
appreciate your sentiments im a tigers fan and hate these guys who lose their control completley on some days to be honest
Fiers should put another one in his chin after that point back to him. Hope he points to him after that too
5:28 bro you almost blasted his jaw off his face. What did you think he was gonna do?
That was Stantons was of saying “See it’s cuz you know if you pitched me right you’d be done”
Too bad they still lost and Fiers still got the win
CJ P. Yea your right the Yankees did win the series
Let's go yankees
I can’t imagine being hit by a punch thrown with bad intentions by Stanton.
Dood is unusually large.
Respect
wow he got revenger... and they lost awesome!
Who cares about the lose 20 games over
Jcurvs99 Yankees in 1st place where are the brewers
batgirlrules2 where are the Brewers? 1st place in the division
Fiers clearly intentionally meant to hit him in the first place, just not in the head. Id be pissed too if I was Stanton I'd feel good about that home run haha
Cory Van Treuren How the fuck do you figure?
clearly ? what game were you watching ?
Mark Leary not in the Yankees game, I'm saying in the Marlin's game
Cory Van Treuren did u watch that game in 2014?
Mitchell Daubon nope. Just went back to it. Pitch clearly got away from him. Brewers we're even up 4-0. I was wrong I didn't remember clearly. My bad folks
Hilarious. You win genius! I have other things to do 😂😂😂😂
Number 42 versus number 42. Mike vs Mike. Coincidence? Illuminati
It was Jackie Robinson day everyone wore 42

KING JAY Enjoy the losing season
Tigers ain't shit never will be

Yankees win the series so..
I mean the Tigers and the Redsox are pretty much the 2 scummiest teams in baseball.
Dude is a stunt double for *The Rock!*
I like how the Yankees and the Tigers have issues with each other.
