If a guy ended your season and then hit you again, you’re allowed to be pissed. He didn’t charge the mound, so I don’t see how fiers can complain about how Stanton reacted after being hit with a 90+ mph pitch.

Obviously he didn't mean to hit Stanton [any of the times] but......if I was Stanton I would feel the same way. He was hit in the face and had to go through a lot (mentally and physically) and the same person who hit him [the previous time] then comes in with a pitch again and hits him again, who could really blame Stanton for his reaction.

Even if it wasnt intentional, and nobody thinks it was including Stanton, the one guy you’d make sure you’d never hit, ever, it’s the guy you hit in the face in the past. Nobody is right--Nobody is wrong~~3 takes~~1~~ Fiers clearly was not acting with intent. His reaction, the scoreboard, and the situational play all point to that~~2~~Stanton in the past was in a precarious situation with Fiers involved; Stanton's reaction is therefore understandable. ~~3~~As far as the bat flip and the pointing and Stanton "showing up Fiers"--GOOD!! Baseball needs more of this !!! More rivalry More FUN! more personality!!! LESS UNWRITTEN CODE BULLSHIT.---Fiers is entitled to his opinion, but baseball desperately needs a rejuvenation. If the sport wants to survive and maintain itself among the other major 3 American sports then there needs to be younger people watching, playing, attending but most of all; enjoying. It needs to be fun to play the game. The mindset of some of the players concerning bat flips and and showing guys up and not getting too emotional or celebratory is antiquated thinking--as well as general ridiculousness. Jose Bautista's bat flip after that incredible home run in the Toronto-Texas series a few years ago was one of the best moments in Baseball I've seen in years! True unbridled emotion. Amazing raw energy throughout the Rogers Centre. And what is so awful with showing some of that now and again..

Stanton could be dead and this fool calls him "childish".
Fiers, be a professional. Be a man.
You have no humility or sensitivity and are an embarrassment to this game. You had no business coming off the mound in the first place.
Ignorant comments come from people who don't know baseball and/or don't know how to put themselves in other people's shoes. Considering what he did to this man before, his heart should have been pounding just like Stanton's if it was truly unintentional and if he had ANY amount of remorse left from the first one.
Stanton's career could have been ended physically and/or psychologically as has happened to many others.
We all know the first one was not intentional but the man needs to get control at some point. Stanton can't be blamed for his reaction and I'm actually proud of him for not taking it any further or allowing it to affect his gameplay.
There's a big difference between approval of someone's reaction and understanding it, being empathetic.

Whether it was intentional or not, dude got to watch where he’s pitching. This time it’s the elbow, next time it’s the head. Say I’m a pitcher with no control and just beans Mike Trout in the face. I didn’t mean it necessarily but I didn’t take the precautions to make sure it didn’t happen. No doubt the batter would be pissed off, especially a big time player like Stanton.

Jeffrey L that might be the dumbest comment on the thread. If pitchers could perfectly place their pitches everytime, that would be quite astounding. But they can't. Pitches get away from the pitchers. Shit happens. You can take all the precautions you want, sometimes shit happens. Comment on another sport cause you clearly dont know baseball.

I don't blame Stanton for being irritated & he even acknowledge that Fliers didn't try to hit him after the game but he can't try to intimidate Fliers from not pitching him inside ever again especially since we saw how Stanton crushed that breaking ball over the heart of the plate.. revenge, payback whatever if you need to call it that you got it with the homer but the over the top antics was shameful. I always rooted for Stanton from a far & still admire his talents.
