I played Cactusfolk Sureshoot in limited because it was a solid 4 drop with ward 2 and it did very well. The haste ability came up rarely. I didn't realize how good it was after seeing you playing it in constructed. Its a nice addition to gruul.
I got passed 3 sureshots in a draft once I was honestly surprised

EDIT: Hey it's my list! Well, almost lol It is on Untapped under SirCrush. My version is for best of three and boards in removal in game 2. I find I don't need it in game 1 to overpower most decks.

Taking a Gruul brew through Diamond as well at 65% win rate and Sureshot has been a MASSIVE overachiever. I never board 'em out. It's a must-answer on 3 or 4, that allows a follow-up 'Clex or Terror of the Peaks as ANOTHER must answer... If you're also drawing cards with Trailblazer, it's only a matter of time.
The deck's weakness is aggro... But not with Sureshot on the field lol

One more edit: I FULLY intend to squeeze 4 Goldvein Hydra in one I get the wild cards. Probably taking out a Ruby or ALL Rubys, possibly a Surprise to avoid the bad feels with Hydra. I'll have to test once I get there.
I think your list was one of the ones I saw. Might even be the base that the others were built from as they all seemed to be within 6-7 cards of each other.
I might trim some other things for the Hydra (I like that cards as well), but Ruby is really helpful in this list. Especially if you get to play a Sureshot on T3 and a big thing on T4.
But Ruby is the best 👌
@@Billchu13 She's also easily cut down and most players know to remove her early if they can. I'd rather they give me treasure lol
@@PowrDragn Yeah removing Ruby is my first instinct. But I'm a mediocre brewer who needs to test A LOT to refine my lists. She might come right back in lol
My list is for BO3 anyways. The early game is too weak for BO1 meta, though it runs circles around control.

I got stomped by Cactusfolk Sureshot in limited, felt like a rare at uncommon rarity, my gosh. And I even had the removal but my opponent had picked 3-4 of those. Busted.
Sureshot is a gross limited card, but such a sleeper constructed card

Sure, but even without the desert, they survive at 1 life or something and I only lose one creature. Then they just die the next turn cause we're running it back against next turn. :)
I wasn't expecting the cowboy set to bring me a new dino, but I'm sure not complaining, especially when it's a two-pip green mythic! Vaultborn is hilarious in multiples.

edit: you really need 4 brotherhoods, and you might do something about aggro opponents
3 has worked out fine for me. The other times, just playing a bigger creature or two and racing has worked. If anything, the extra one is a nice bonus against the Azorius artifacts deck. But that said, it's a good card. If you wanna cut something for it, do your thing. It's not a bad card to have in there.
Sureshot is pretty good. I got myself a paper playset.
Rattleworm with a desert wrecks control your take a turn off on 5 drop rattle at the end of their turn they either deal with that or get smashed
That's the other secret tech of this deck. There's really only 8 instant speed cards in the main deck, but they all keep control on their toes 😀 (PowrDragn added a Surprise for a 9th)
