OTJ ended up being such a great set for green especially Selesnya/Gruul/Naya creature based decks. Smuggler's Surprise has been so great with Trailblazer, Brawler, Armadillo, Tyrant, Terror, Calamity, etc... very happy with the set.
And it is pretty cheap in paper too.
Yeah, lots of ways to build a variety of decks in those colors.
Armadillo is such a fun card, ramp and big idiot to play later on
I've had games where I almost decked myself thanks to a few Outcast Trailblazers, Vaultborn Tyrants, and Calamity. I also learned I always need an answer for Sheoldred or I won't survive to deal the combat damage.
Tyrant offsets Sheoldred in a lot of scenarios. Also, there are ways to do Terror or Roxanne damage and hill Sheoldred too. :)
Love Norn with Roxanne, that 8 damage on drop is nasty
It's a nice bonus, when you remember it's 8 damage. 😂
i've been running a selesnya version of this and it's great, but hadn't considered roxanne for naya.... think i'm going to run this deck now too.

The amount of control decks I face when I have to kill 25 creatures for a daily deal is the worst sometimes.
That's fine. It's not like the daily goes away. Just stack those wins up today and knock out the daily tomorrow.
Not to criticize your play at all, but if you'd ordered which creatures came in differently in that game against Esper, would it have potentially been even more gross? For example, if you'd gone Norn and Terror first, then the Tyrant and second Terror on your main? If my math is right, it might've been lethal without even attacking. 8 to the face from Norn and Terror on their turn, then 24 from the tyrant, and 10 from the second Terror, plus all the draws. Wow, just goes to show the kind of silliness this is capable of.

Not sure about this, and maybe I'm wrong, but against the mono-green deck, wouldn't have PD been able to kill two creatures with Elesh Norn + Roxanne ? 2 meteorites arrivng, dealing each twice 2. So 8 damages total, killing the two tramplers, leaving two ennemy creatures, and staying alive ?
That's not even the worst mistake I made in this video. I'm not really worried about it. You've gotta be prepared for dumb plays around here and you'll enjoy the videos more. ;)
Just chalk that up as a...I dunno..half loss... for the deck and have fun with the big explosions here. :)
@@PowrDragn Oh, I know, we all make mistakes and content creators are just more exposed because thousands see the plays. It was mostly about my understanding of the deck, and a testament to the fact that "big dumb monsters" can also need planning and strategy. It is, anyway, a deck I'm excited to try out !

In that last game wouldn't norn have shut down everything they do in the game?
Potentially. That's why on screen I said I could've risked it. Though several of those decks still play Sunfall or spot removal and I knew it was going to be easier to win getting value off her. So I made the call to wait and it still worked out.
@@PowrDragn that makes sense and wasn't trying to be critical. I have it on as I work so don't always hear what's going on. Either way, great content and great games. I make a lot of your decks because they are fun.
I am not a fan of the 7/7 titan to kill artifacts and enchantments. I prefer the Ape that is a 5/7 and will kill those when another creature enters the battlefield. Why are you not playing Warleader's Call?
It's not just about killing an artifact or enchantment. It's about killing it right then. It's also a big recovery card against the aggro matchups giving you both life anf a bloacker when it enters play.
You really don't need Warleader's Call in here. That's just picking up pennies to ignore the dime sitting there. You also don't have room. There's no spot in the early turns that's worth taking time off to play WC. All those early turns are finding lands, gaining life, or removing the opponents stuff. All that to setup the late turns.
If you have a WC in play, it doesn't really change much of anything on the final turns.
i have added roaming throne also, just for the triggers LOL
I like Roaming Throne but it's truly an inneficient use of here as there are almost no shared type among the creatures in this deck. You'd be better off probably just adding in something else with an "enters" ability.
How do you report people on arena.
Gear icon > report a bug and it's part of the dropdown menu to report player behavior.
