Deimos | FULL LEVEL [Official Phobos sequel]

- After about 10 months, Deimos is finally finished! This level was blast to host, the whole process was an absolute journey. A LOT has happened since the first preview and I just wanna thank all the new people I met and supported me throughout the creation process of this beast. As you can tell, the theme is 1.9-ish mixed with a lot of modern features to stay reminiscent of Phobos while also being up to par with today’s level standards. I feel like I did a pretty job at making this a fitting sequel to Phobos. I let everyone do their own thing with some guidance, and I didn’t keep the level too cohesive to fit Phobos. In its current state, the level is top 1 difficulty, but its expected to be around top 5 difficulty when play testing and balancing is done. Blitzer will start the verification process sometime this month or the next, so stay tuned for that! Again, thank you everyone who followed this projected and supported me throughout the way! And with that, I present to you… Deimos, the Official Phobos sequel.

Just watched hybrids and akiras deimos for the first time, hybrids deimos had me immersed the whole time, while akiras felt like an average megacollab with an exception of a few parts. Good job on this everyone involved, definitely one of my favorite levels recently.

Wow... Both the song and the level retain the spirit of the original I feel, while also changing a decent amount to warrant it being it's own level. This isn't just phobos redux or phobos rebirth, this is deimos. Incredible level, I'd love to beat it one day if I could ever build up the skill!

1:18 might be my favourite part in any upcoming extreme demon. It’s a callback to Tyg’s part in Phobos and also puts a modern spin on the rainbow blocks. The part itself also flows really well. And it looks awesome!

@@sixela9389 original phobos didnt have a theme at all, it was just a mix between random 1.9 parts and early 2.0 ending. this level got 1.9 styled parts that look like phobos, you just cant repeat a theme that original level didnt have
I came here somewhat expecting a glow remake with a super different style, but after watching it im calling it right now, this is one of the best upcoming collabs. Amazing job :)

I love this level! It hangs together perfectly for a Megacolab with so many members and the level feels very true to Phobos while fixing a lot of the issues with the original. Great job on this level, one of my favorite new Mc’s.

Honestly, it doesn’t fit the level at all to me. It feels more like a part for anathema.

- its how a phobos sequel should be
- the old phobos at the time was made in 1.9-2.0 and used what was best in those updates
- skellys did the same thing in 2.1 while hybrids just tries to look like the old phobos when a sequel should have really new things while still carrying the same vibe. Hybrids just looks like it wanted to have a 1.9 look again.
- the only things similar to the parts is that there is no theme between both of them (which is what like phobos was) and they’re all different

Finally a worthy sequel
I always thought this would be a good level and a great sequel to Phobos when I watched the preview, but this surpassed my expectations by a long shot. My favourite part is probably Juhou's and Tygrysek's. The other parts are sick too, along with the endscreen.

Now that I've look at this and analyzed it in its entirety, there are still some parts that are kinda just there and don't have much memorability or impact on the level, but a lot of other parts take what was established in Phobos and build upon that and refine other key areas, while not straying too far from the source and even adding a couple of callbacks. That's EXACTLY what I want a sequel of a level to feel like, sorta like what Sonic Adventure 2's relationship to Sonic Adventure 1 is. Awesome job on this, and I can't wait to see this verified!
