Grandmother of girl who died of fentanyl poisoning says latest overdoses are 'heartbreaking'

Three babies overdosed on fentanyl in Everett between April 20-24, resulting in the death of one and hospitalization of two others.
The fentanyl in these situations were left unsecured in homes, according to the Everett Fire Department.

Personally, I feel that the adults responsible for the drugs being accessible for these babies and any other children in their care.....should be sent to prison for a long time. There is NO excuse for this happening.....NONE.

Even if the grandparent or another relative wanted to get custody of their grandchild for example the Washington state court system would never allow it. Even if the child was in a dangerous drug parent addicted environment the Washington State judges would never allow someone to intervene because their script is keeping the child with the parents no matter what no matter the danger

I used to work at a domestic violence/sexual assault facility. Some drug users sell the use of their children. It's sickening this child died, but her life could have been even more tragic.
