  • Have you ever wondered how a Leather Bullwhip is made?
    Cheap massproduced leather Bullwhips can be found through different retailers online, in souvenir shops or costume stores.
    These whips usually sells for 60-150usd and what's inside them can range from rolled up leather or rope to (belive it or not) cloth or even paper. These whips generally serves their pourpose as part of a costume or as a wall hanger but tends to be very difficult to use and fails fast.
    In this video however, we're having a look at how a Quality Kangaroo Leather Bullwhip is made by full-time professional Whipmaker Johnny Öhgren of Witchcraft Whips, along with information about the process from the start of the build to completion.
    The Bullwhip being built in this video is a 16 plait, 6 foot Kangaroo Leather Bullwhip in the color Whisky.
    We do hope you enjoy it.

    7:24 what a champion. I have a super budget whip, its not very supple at all might try rolling it, & it certainly cant perform like that 😂 maybe i'll get a nice one someday. Very informative video 😊 i love whips bc theyre a symbol of mans manipulation of physics; its like a momentum machine, similar to firearms & cars even

    Hello. How long is the whip?

  • @SteveSeagerBGMC771
    @SteveSeagerBGMC771 Před 4 lety +2

    How do you determine the length of the strands?

    • @WitchcraftWhips
      @WitchcraftWhips  Před 4 lety +1

      Generally I go for 1.5 times the length it'll be plaited plus a bit to be safe. But the amount of stretch etc needs to be considered as well.

  • @sturdybutter
    @sturdybutter Před 3 lety +1

    What is the exact name of the tool you're using when cutting the strands for the initial belly of the whip? Before its stretched and cut to size.

  • @magispitt
    @magispitt Před 2 lety

    How long does it take you to make a whip?

    • @WitchcraftWhips
      @WitchcraftWhips  Před 2 lety +1

      Depends on the specs but 18-24h on average. A short low plait whip can take 4-5h and a collectors whips can take up to two weeks.
