The WEIRDEST "Silver & Rare Coins" Mystery Grab Bag... EVER?!?
• This Silver And Rare C...

READ BEFORE COMMENTING ON MY BAD MATH PLEASE...
I made a mistake during editing... for some reason in my head I multiplied .1 x 1125 instead of .1 x 11.25. This is what I get for not grabbing a calculator lol. Their value of the dime would have been $1.23 not $112.5... OOPS.
Glad you caught that because I was over here scratching my head and wondering if my math was wrong😂
If you have 1 Dollar and it increases by 100% you have 2 Dollars or 2X. A 100% increase is 2X, a 200% increase is 3X, a 300% increase is 4X . a 1125% increase is 12.25X
.10 times 12.25 is 1.225
@@rayk126 thanks fixed
Yeah, that's what I thought.
I have a PhD in mathematics and I approve this message.
I think with the Dime certificate saying that the value increased 1,125% would put the value at $1.125 not $125. You would be saying the value increased 1,125 times not by 1,125%.
Oh... good call lol you're right I did multiply.it
@@SilverSeeker I wish I could still get a mercury dime at 11 times face 😄
you are right sir, that company valued it at $1.12 for about 11.25x face value
i could've bought a bunch in March 2020 when silver crashed, my LCS was SELLING it at 11.5x face for a day or two before it went back to 14x@@cazper37
@@videoluvr4204 aye that's why I pinned the comment. I made a mistake
It's fun to watch someone else open these because I never will. Thanks!
We have a local LCS that loves these and has coerced us 3 times to buy a mystery box and we've been very burned each time, so our learning curve has stopped after 3!
Reminds me of the old fashioned “Surprise Packages” that used to be offered in advertisements in the back of old comic books in the 1960’s $ 70’s when I was a kid. I never bit. 😎
That's a father-in-law special right there. Tells your kids about all the Morgan's he's inherited just to turn around and gift them Ikes and Kennedys.
You're so right! Some of the stuff my father-in-law bought are replica coins and rounds that aren't even coins, all containing no silver whatsoever. He was buying these worthless "coins" by subscription. Holy mother of God!!
These are by far my favorite videos of yours, I would love to see more. Thanks Seeker
You're providing all the entertainment value I need or want...Thanks!
Looks like someone’s poor grandparents were scammed by the old informercials on tv and they are selling them to try and get something out of a worthless collection very sad for their grandparents they for sure overpaid. Thanks for taking the hit for us seeker and for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Yikes. And it’s nothing but crap. I wouldn’t even do GAWs for that stuff. Those need to be given to kids
Agreed
Yea, at least I got some Silver in it. But yea, alot of junk in there.
That is exactly what they're perfect for but no more!!
Thank you Seeker! These are fun and hopefully you make up the difference with CZcams!
Right on brother!
Thanks my friend!
Holy Crap!😬 Thanks for falling on the sword, bro... Very informative vid!
Great video. Thanks for sharing these mystery packs.
Silver seeker you are my favorite coin guy to watch online!! You're a honest straight shooter... God bless you
Great Vid! i love these grab bag vids.
Wow. Thanks for sharing. What a wakeup call for new stackers who may think they're going to get a great deal in a grab bag. It's a gamble with pretty bad odds.
Auction it on your next auction. lol 😂
No way man none of it will sell!! Laughing my butt off. Love your comment brother! Looking forward to Saturday's next amazing auction!
LOL! He said that because the last bad mystery bag I got I just put the entire bag in an auction lot and PapaK bought it... for way less than I paid and for alot closer to its true value.
You Rock PapaK!
Thank you seeker for doing these!!
We appreciate you going through this mystery package for us. I not curious about mystery packs.
Thank you.
Thanks for letting us know about the mystery packs so many people are taking by them
Great content. Well done. 👍
Never buy a pig in a poke! 😂😂😂😂
Stocking stuffers only.
Right?
Thanks for the great entertainment Seeker. 😂
I agree with your more than fair evaluation.
These Mystery Box videos are fun
Just going to the local coin shop can be a mystery to see what they have. Never know what comes across the counter.
Thank you for sharing your experience. 👍
These bags are great way get children interested in coins and spend time together.
That 75 Unc set should at least have the Type 1 Eisenhower.
I will continue to live vicariously through you. ✌🏻
These things appeal to the gambler inside of everyone. 😆
Ouch !! got had imo I know you won’t ever get what it’s worth but u would think it would be a little closer than that
Yea, this one was rough. They DEFINITELY valued those "collector displays" more than I did.
So would you do coin subscription packs instead of the mystery packs for a better value? We like doing something like this with grandkids to stimulate surprise and interest in the hobby.
A “Certificate of authenticity” for the Dollar’s…Who signed that Worthless piece of paper?
Mystery grab bags seem to be a way for someone to sell some junk they have for an exorbitant price.
If that was worth11 dollars for that dime I'll sell you fifty of them 😂
It's still a big old Bag O' Carp!
Just for fun, I'll list a silver mystery pack on E-Bay in a few weeks and see if you get it for your next video. No spoilers, but whoever gets it will be very pleased. Had a huge score at a garage sale, think I'll share the love. and no, I'm not posting my E-bay ID, so don't ask. Good luck! Probably less than 1% chance you get it, but who knows.
Haven't found a reputable enough seller to try ebay grab bags. But I do trust my LCS for the most part. I've bought one for $60. It was fun to go through it.
Ebay used to have good grab bags like 20 years ago when sellers weren't a bunch of greedy flippers and were old collectors selling their collections. Today I am paranoid to buy any silver or gold from them with all the fakes out there too.
🤪weird indeed
Right?
Probably a dealer that has had those sitting around for years and its the only way he can liquidated these items. The holders more than likely cost more to create than the coins are worth.
I like the displays 😅😅😅 but I also understand buy the coins not the "slabs" awesome video thankyou
Look at your 1943 mercury dime on the reverse,If it has full bands the value will be around $70.00. At Ms 65 state.
If I came across that collection at a garage sale, I wouldn't be paying anywhere near 78.00 for it. $15 for the morgan, $2 for the dime, and have a nice day 😅
$15 for the morgan is way below melt but fair at a yard sale, and you wouldn't buy the silver quarter set?
Buy buy buy!
I’m interested in the nickel sets and the 1975 sets , and even the Morgan . Do you sell ? Whatnot? I do love watching you open these, saves me a lot of money lol
Makes sense, all the stuff no one really wants. So throw it all in a garbage bag. I mean grab bag for someone to open. I would've at least topped it off a little more. Thanks much great insight
Hahaha that's awesome brother
Yea, I think they were valuing the "collector sets" higher than I was. They probably felt there was good value there, but I certainly didn't.
Yes, i would have thrown in an Indian Head cent in a flip.
ebay = no way for me. I would rather support channels like yours knowing that you all are out there searching for the goods for me.
Amen to that brother!
I can't thank you guys enough... seriously! Thank You!
Looks like the retailer just wanted to get rid of a bunch of less than prime inventory. I understand that in the business world you have to take plenty of junk in order to get the good stuff. That is why 90% coins are referred to as junk silver. The only value is the metal. Well in that retail market you have to find a way to move the junk down the road or you just end up getting buried in it.
Cool toning on the dime
thnks 4 info
Out of all that, I'd only grab the merc and the war nickel possibly the silver set.
grab bags are a good way for the seller to get rid of the junk they have no one wants to buy
Great video and info!
Well at least there was silver but I would not buy it however it was fun watching you open the package so that was the best part of this video so add 50 dollars more for the entertainment value and now its over 100 dollars that was fun do more of those videos
very interesting.
The mint set looks like 1976 rather than the 1975 on the envelope.
Grab Bags are the lotto scratch off tickets of coins.
I actually like the displays, just not for the price they sell for. I'd pay $2 cash in hand at a junk shop for the Kennedy display with $1 worth of half dollars inside. Maybe you could convince me to fork over $3, but anything more than that and it's a hard pass. I'd have to be feeling generous to do $3 TBH.
You'd be better off to go to Vegas with your hundred dollars.
You'll go home broke, but at least you won't be stuck with all the junk from that mystery pack.
This looks like 'junk' that some dealers are loaded with and are trying to get rid of to recoup some of their outlay.
WOW, Seeker....my little cheap tablet is so good, I could smell how rotten this package was! Amazing, right??? My condolences on this... maybe next time!
they are good to get to get kids involved but like you said you usually get burned great video
Thanks my friend, and for sure!
Super sting package of chump change for a C note....wow.
looks like stuff the leftover stuff from a collection that was bought by the seller
I have come across a 1980-P nickel with the mint mark diagonal. Any thoughts?
For me I rather participate in an auction and pick nice or special coins. To this point I have not bought a mystery envelope.
Could you post what Mrs silver seeker thought about all this? 😳
dude, You were robbed. THE SARGE
Sir. That is not how percentages work. Love the videos though keep on keepin on!
Yes see pinned.comment I had a brain farr
A presidential dollar isn't silver right?
Nop
@SilverSeeker - At 11:45 you calculate the value at about $11. You then edit in a correction bringing it to $112.50.
The correct calculation and solution is (0.10 x 1125%) = $1.125
You corrected yourself with an even more off-target calculation. This would be genius if it was in a sketch comedy.
Please see the pinned comment my friend :)
👍
Hey my friend do you have an online store?
👍
Are you a silver stacker do you do coin collecting
I'd be sending that package back.
I mean... its a mystery pack. I knew what I could be getting myself into.
Yeah, this is the kind of stuff I would give to kids to get them interested in the hobby. Then, if their interest really took off, they would look back after being more educated and say, “Wow. That lady really gave me a piece of 💩.” They don’t call me Treasure Turd for nothing, you know.
Isn't the '71 Ike a 40% silver coin? And what about the bicentennial stuff...was SOME of it silver?
Not all 71 Ikes are silver neither are bicentennials
What coins do you have on the wall.
1943 S *proceeds to say P*
So my eyes aren't as good as they used to be... anything else you want to say?
@@SilverSeeker Just wanted to say that eyes do deteriorate after a long time
Do you think I might get in trouble, if I put a eBay Grab Bag on the Railroad Tracks.
Did you contact the seller about the value?
Not for me! I want to know what I'm getting!
Silver Seeker, another haircut If you want to half your loss....would you take $53? 🙂
That's what she said
This is a kid’s starter kit
Dishonest people though is what ruins stuff like this. If people were just honest and put the actual value in the box would make them a great thing.
Thanks, I'm glad that I've never bought one 🕊
10 cents * 1125% = $1.125
Read pinned comment
that 1901 Morgan dollar was ROUGH shape, literal junk 90% silver
It's not so much that there's so much junk, but it's that the seller is too cheap to add some catalog value with items that don't sell well. I'd throw in some early wheat cents which aren't really worth keeping anyhow. Maybe some heavily worn Buffalo nickels, too. Then if the buyer complains, the seller can point out that the catalog value exceeds the sale value.
Could you do me a favor and dump those black gloves, they are hard for me to see. Could you please use some gray wool gloves, instead, preferably with stripes. Thank You.
What a crappy bag. This is exactly why I don't buy these. Thanks for the video
Most of these are cleaned coins in the qvc packaging. Petty much face value or melt. Not something id ever buy, gift, or recommend to anyone. Just don't buy them.
I would never buy a mystery my money means too much. 16:10 .
what a pack of junk !!!! no way dude
It's a loss of sooo much more than 28 dollars
What a pile of junk. You should share the seller info so people can avoid them
Good stocking stuffers for young collectors.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
After eBay fees, the seller made maybe $5
Lol no...
