How to disassemble Sram Red Shifters. 10 speed side and the 2/3 speed side. Fairly easy and worked much smoother after. Be careful with the cleaning products you use to avoid damaging the carbon finish (especially the lacquered coating).

Do you know if the round red gear cable housing with the spring attached is available as a spare part? Mine has broken and no longer holds the gear cable.

ANY IDEA HOW TO OBTAIN REPLACEMENT PART FOR THE SMALLEST SPRING INSIDE THE HOUSING THAT WE SEE AT 11:07? It holds the"bail"in place as the shifting occurs

This is a bit of a surprise, I always thought 10s Red levers were full carbon like 11s Red levers, guess I was wrong, they look like carbon skinned aluminium.

HI, can you tell me if the Sram Apex has adjustable shift force. That is, the force to make the first click? On my shifter, I think it's a little tight for me.

Nothing adjustable that I know of. The force comes from the internal springs moving the sprockets inside the shifter. Only grease would help if dry possibly. I guess you could re-look at your cables instead (shorten or replace) to create less force.
