You missed the most important point. How to check the gas leakage while delivery. Ask the delivery boy to open the cap and then put some oil in the valve. If you see any bubble then it is already a leak cylinder. Change is ASAP
I did the same today and when the delivery guy came he started shouting that who told you to put so much oil inside to check 😅 it was smelling but he still kept saying there is no gas smell.

Then just Soak dal in warm water. It boosts the process Tip no 3 : If curry got too loose then just add little gram flour or corn flour
