- Prosecutors are narrowing in on a potential suspect in connection with the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee, according to multiple sources.
Imagine how fun it would be to be the defense attorney for the alternate suspect they are allegedly going to charge. It would be impossible to convict him because there is a rock solid case against another "alternate" suspect, Adnan.
Exactly! Also, they haven't lifted the accessory to murder conviction of Jay Wilds when they have already vacated Adnon's?

Where the hell are all the videos on Don. No one is talking about that guy her boyfriend at the time. And if Jay was coerced then where're those detectives that executed said coercion tactics. How can they just rubbish a man's testimony like: "nope he had nothing to do with it he was coerced..." like he was some dumb lost kid in the woods. He implicates himself! Who the hell would do that?
Remember that couple in 1995 who were released after confessing to a murder that was actually committed by the “happy face killer”? They served 4 years. The elderly girlfriend who came forward and admitted to doing the crime with her abusive younger boyfriend said “it just snowballed on me.” They were both released in ‘95 she literally confessed and just like Jay her story changed as she implicated herself more or less overtime. Had she been promised a deal like Jay was for all we know she would have never redacted her initial confession.

He says there is a reason those alternate suspects weren’t investigated at the time - one of the main reasons for the motion to vacate is that the alternate suspects *should* have been investigated at the time.
There is no “real” alternative suspect. They can say that about anybody. The DA is just claiming there is another “secret” suspect to distract & hold back outrage ppl will feel for a killer going free. The Cell data proved he did it , and it is reliable >99% of the time .

If I were in Adnan's position, and I knew that I was falsely imprisoned for years for a crime I didn't commit, I would be the LOUDEST VOICE to pressure the authorities to track down the real culprit, because it would be the real culprit that is ultimately responsible for my false imprisonment. Had the crime not occurred, I wouldn't have even been considered a suspect.

@@sj4632 I know, and Don's alibi is a lot more airtight than Adnan fans would lead you to believe. Don had to actually punch in at work so his presence at work is documented. I'm sure that his mother did not punch in for him. "Hey Mom, can you punch in for me at work. I'm going to kill my girlfriend of a few weeks today and I need an alibi. Thanks Love you."
@@furious-vengeance Bilal was Adnan’s youth leader at the mosque when he was arrested. His name was on the list of 2 potential other suspects that wasn’t put forward during the original trials. He testified before the grand jury that he saw Adnan at the mosque the night of the murder but didn’t in the trials. He was also arrested for multiple sex crimes in the years following the murder. The reason he was listed as a suspect in the notes is because he allegedly made some threatening statements about Hae (the detective who wrote the notes has since said this has been misinterpreted but that’s not for me to debate)
His name or the second alternative suspect aren’t mentioned by the media but they describe in great detail who he was and his connection to people in the case, most specifically Adnan. The reason Rabia never mentions him is that it would almost definitely implicate Adnan in some way.
Who are the ne suspects? Haven't heard a peep since this broadcast. I believe he is guilty.

I agree that Adnan did it, but Adnan did go to school that day. He asked Hae for a ride during school on the day of the murder.
Not true, that note was him and another girl writing on a note from hae during class. That girl said she never seen the "I'm going to kill" on the note when they were writing back n forth to eachother on it. He was at school that day, he left for a few hours gave jay his car and cell phone. There's evidence that Jay was definitely involved but not much credible evidence of adnan being involved.
@@austinw5586 The note was indeed between Adnan and Aisha and Aisha did not see "I'm going to kill" on the notes. However, the police found the note in Adnan's room with the "I'm going to kill" phrase in Adnan's handwriting, evidencing the fact that Adnan was silently stewing about his intention to kill Hae.
Your statement that there is not much evidence to support Adnan's guilt is ridiculous.
@@austinw5586 If you review the facts of the case objectively and unbiased, it is clear that both Jay and Adnan is involved, and that Jay's involvement is likely more significant than he has indicated. There are several facts of the case that cannot completely be ignored no matter how much you believe Adnan is innocent.
One of the biggest things to me that often gets overlooked is that the narrow window in time in which Hae disappears (about 2:15pm-3:30pm) corresponds to the exact block of free time in which Adnan has no obligations and cannot account for.
@@anthonyhenderson8632 Totally agree with your narrow time frame point. Hae was supposed to pick up her cousin after school. By all accounts, Hae was very responsible and there is no way she would not have promptly done so after she left Woodlawn. If Adnan did not kill her, you would have to believe that someone else would have had to intercept her on her way to pick up her sister and proceeded to strangle her. How would that person have been able to get into Hae's car and strangle her in this time frame other than Adnan. I have heard no plausible theory as to how this could have happened.
Meanwhile, like you say, Adnan somehow cannot account for this time frame. He CAN account for the rest of the day. Moreover, Adnan was overheard asking Hae for a ride home that day by two witnesses. He later lied to the police and said that he had his own car and, therefore, would not have had a reason to ask for a ride home. Of course, we know that Jay had Adnan's car that day.
I have NO idea why ANYONE thinks that Adnan is innocent. The gullibility is breath taking.

Why should they look at the "other 2 suspects"? Did they have motive and opportunity? Is there a shred of evidence to suspect either one? NO, because There are damn good reasons Syed was convicted. Anyone capable of critical thinking and an open mind can see that from the evidence. Syed showed Lee's body to Jay Wilds in the trunk of her car. He lent his car to Jay in order to lure Lee with the lie that his was in the shop and he needed a ride. He also lent his cell phone to Jay so he could call him after he killed Hae Lee. Then he hung out with Jay, Jennifer Pusateri and others acting like an actual zombie OR someone who just committed murder. He practically admitted it when the police called looking for Hae. Jay Wild also told Jennifer Pusateria that Adnan strangled Hae Min Lee, a fact not released by the authorities. Jennifer picked up Jay and saw Syed at Westview Mall after Adnan buried Lee and disposed of shovels there. Despite Jay's defensive, and understandable inconsistencies, why would he implicate himself? Why didn't Adnan try paging or calling Hae during the 6 weeks she was missing? This case is obvious, which is why Adnan was convicted. What's happening now is a prosecutor who also wants to exploit Lee's death to further her career. I don't know who is worse, Sarah Koenig, for producing a podcast that kept so many tuned in by making them think Syed might be innocent or this prosecutor who has let a cold blooded, unremorseful, murdering POS free.
