PLEASE take Martyn with you next time you meet up with Brian, Robert and Nick. I would love to see him torture those guys with his style of training the same way he does with you. I laugh so hard every time you try to get out of the leg extension machine and he pushes you back into the seat to finish your set. That's the sort of gym buddy you want!
To be fair the pro's like Athlean X who's a major league fitness coach, never says don't do legs, he does however tell you to avoid certain movements. Some leg movements are unnatural, and really should be avoided by most people and left to those who really need it, i.e. pro's where there's a real world carry over to say a competition. The thing with pros is that they know they are sacrificing their body and are willing to do it. Most people who aren't making tons of money or aiming to be pros should try to focus on movements that allows them to stay fit and healthy. My cousin as an example is a pro hockey player (ice hockey, not that grass thingy), he knows that he's got X amount of years as a pro then it's off to retirement. During those pro years you need to sacrifice a lot to make as much money as possible so you can retire without having to go back to a 9 to 5 job, since there's only a limited amount of non player hockey jobs out there. He's 30+ years old now and already feeling it. The average retirement age of pro hockey players is 40. If he's going to stay on a pro level for a few more years he'll have to keep breaking his body. It's the life of pro athletes and 99% of us out there aren't pro athletes and should not make such sacrifices, because we'll have to go to our 9 to 5 jobs way into our 60s.

I would love to see a shoulder workout with both power and hypertrophy focus. I know you (eddie) have shown how you train shoulders ( heavy weights, no surprise) with some paused shoulder raises. I know you may think that is inducing metabolic stress, but I am sure martyn would show you some TUT techniques that will have you in tears. These are the workouts I want to see. I would be willing to bet my left nut that's matryns shoulder training is no more than 20% pressing.
