    I bought a mini Christmas tree at Home Depot a month ago and it was dying so I just did bonsai to it and now it’s gonna be my project for the rest of my life.

    Its always funny to have bonsai tips for beginners. If im starting a bonsai, it still gonna take me 10-15-20 years to achive the goal.
    So if i do it right, in arround 15-20 years im gonna have complet a bonsai and call myself no a beginner anymore.

    You need to plant trees from more northern hardiness zones, because in pots trees are more vulnerable to cold. For example, all my local Scots pines died this winter from frosts, but the Siberian pine survived. Indoors, I am keeping a pomegranate tree as bonsai and also a few dwarf chili peppers.

    • @Crab_Juice22
      @Crab_Juice22 Před 3 měsíci

      How do you keep a pomegranate tree as bonsai? This is very interesting to me, and I have always had the dream of owning a pomegranate tree.

    • @dmitrimikrioukov5935
      @dmitrimikrioukov5935 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@Crab_Juice22 there are special indoor varieties of pomegranate, for example, Nana, which are more suitable as bonsai - have smaller leaves, blossom easier, etc. I grew mine just from a seed from supermarket fruit. As for care, the further north it grows, the more leaves it sheds in winter. So in winter it needs little watering. In summer it needs a lot, plus fertilising is preferred. I fertilise less than is instructed to avoid overfertilising. The more sun, the better. So the care is similar to most houseplants, key difference being that you strogly cut on watering in winter, but not as succulents, of course.

    I just wanted to say that I enjoy your videos.. I intend to enroll in one of your classes. May I ask a question? I have heard many bonsai youtubers about Ficus on how resilient, strong and forgiving. they are. Then why do I have 2 dead Ficus trees? They were watered regularly and sitting in front of a sunny window.

    Hi guys! I have a question about my bonsai and I would be very happy if you could help me.
    I bought a little Carmina Bonsai yesterday and when I got home I saw a little Limax coming out from the soil. It was like the worms you go fishing with. Are they harmful for the tree or for the soil? What can I do to make a "detoxification" to the soil but to not harm the bonsai?
    Could you help me, please!
