The good news is now that's it's sorted I'm finally uploading on here again! Dear Sara, the mask with the little blue valve (which some people think is a filter but isnt!) is probably not so good to wear to protect others. it is to protect yourself but if you are infected and wear this mask you are more likely to affect others as the ventil does (usualy) NOT have a filter in itself. the filter is the mask itself. so you breath in through the filter (which closes the blue valve) and you wont get infected as it looks like N95 or ffp2 which is considered save to protect yourself from others. as you breath out the pressure on the valve opens and lets not only your expiratory air out but also water droplets as there is no longer any barrier provided and with that you can infect others whilst being protected yourself. Therefore it is less protective for strangers around you than a paper mask or the pollution mask would be. Im a medical student in germany working in corona-intensive care and this is what they taught us! I hope i expressed myself right :) Have the nicest day

Hi Sara. I am an American who lives in a state where the virus is slowly decreasing in numbers of infected/hospitalizations. We're all feeling it here. Mask shortages around the country, no hand sanitizer. My dad is essential so he goes to work every day with his mask on. There are people in this country who legitimately don't believe masks work, they think their rights are being infringed upon; I'm sure you've seen reports, probably making fun of our country. Your videos brighten up my day. Hang in there, we're right there with you. Love from Connecticut.
I surely wish numbers were decreasing. Masks: there is no shortage. An infinite number can be purchased online and readily available. Just choose wisely.And yes, everyone should ALWAYS wear a mask when near other people unless it's your designated family or significant other...even OUTSIDE.

I got a nice comment when i went out and bought more hairdye. Something I've been amusing myself with lately is dyeing my hair crazy colours. And the lady at the register was amazed at my green coloured hair. She thought it was the ready made one from manic panic, but it isn't cause that one has been sold out for ages, so I told her that i'd mixed three of the colours i had at home to make it and she said i nailed it. It was nice to hear.
My state (WI) isn’t locked down either. I’m an essential worker so I’ve been out through the whole thing. One nice thing that happened today was being in the checkout line and I couldn’t remember my PIN number for my debit card. I was getting flustered and kept apologizing to the checker and the people behind me. The lady behind me told me it was ok and to take my time because that happens to all of us sometimes. 😊
Hi Sara, Love both your channels so much. I'm glad you're spreading awareness to stay protected. I'm a healthcare worker myself and know about the shortages around the world with masks. There are protocols at the facility that I work at due to shortages. Anyways, stay safe, healthy and remember to always stay bright.

I hope this reaches even a few people in America. My oldest was extremely premature and is now medically fragile. I have constant dreams about getting sick and killing her accidentally because I didn't know I was symptomatic for weeks. Every time we get the mail is terrifying. My husband hasn't touched our kids in months and is staying with his parents because he has to work so we can completely isolate ourselves from everyone. My son is starved for peer interaction and my daughter is missing out on all of her therapies that I am just not able to provide. Seeing so many so adverse to wearing masks and calling it a hoax as if its not affecting the whole planet has me starting to completely lose hope that we will ever get some semblance of normal back again. I'm honestly terrified because its only getting worse and no one is trying to help. Our government has abandoned post. All of them, both sides. Its absolute madness. At least we can pay our bills. Many many people cannot. Its hard for us, but we aren't even in a "bad" position in this.
I cannot stand the people who say this is a conspiracy, not dangerous, or that masks don't work. Or how their non-existent Constitutional Rights trump everybody's well being.
We are just waking up here in Finland but one positive thing is that me and my partner seem to still be healthy even tho we have been working normally (essential workers). Right now health is the most important thing we can have (and also being able to pay bills and have a place to live in and food and so forth).
The nice thing that happened for me today was being able to go to the one bakery I can get things from (Celiacs Disease, rip). The people working were so incredibly sweet and have this lovely table set up with signs and flowers and things all around it. You text the number on their front window that you're there, and they put your order on the table to pick up! I already am incredibly thankful I can get something nice from this place, but this week it felt even more special.
Today, my mother in law put henna she in my hair, medium blonde (my hair is naturally light brown) and I am watching this video while waiting until we can wash it out. And my hair at the moment smell like green tea, who I makes me want some so bad! 🍵 or something matcha flavoured.
Hi Sara: I just want to thank you so much for doing this. I’m an American, and high risk. Luckily cases are falling where I live outside of DC, but my doctor still has me staying quarantined. We haven’t been able to find good wet wipes forever so this website is a lifesaver! We also had mask shortages here, my sister in law is a nurse and couldn’t get any until my friends and i bought a bunch online and sent them to her and her coworkers. I hope your mom stays safe and well in AUS, nurses are so amazing! And thank you for sharing what life is like there in Korea. It’s always nice to see and remember that we’re not in this alone. One nice thing: very grateful today for my friend who works in the same field as me but moved away (we met in uni) because whenever I have any work-related rant, she 100% understands me. Sometimes you need that person who will be outraged with you, rather than the person who will try to logically go through the situation with you (aka my bf).

The restrictions are mostly off now as it is 2022 but I still wear my mask because I am immuno-compromised. One nice thing is I can occasionally see my neighbors who are my friends more often.
Its quite sad how much people are price gouging masks. I’m an md and I can’t get a deal from anywhere! Shame on you who price gouge during this time of need. Life or death times. 7 usd sounds like a deal I’m spending around 30 usd per mask here in the states. Very sad
Something nice I did today was took my car to the car wash and got some boba from my favorite local shop. It wasn’t much but it was nice to get out of the house 🤍
I've seen my daughter once since the first of the year. Even though she's just an hour away. BUT, she sends me a picture of her housemates kitty being cute, every day. Hello! The light that you showed is really interesting, thanks! I think I'll buy one for my mum as she needs to use masks every day. Here in Italy the situation is under control, but so many are not cautious enough, therefore it's still risky to go outside. I'm glad to know you're feeling better now. Whatever video you feel like making to me is fine so don't feel like you need to go outside if you are not feeling like making a video outside. My nice thing: I'm going to graduate soon from uni and a friend of mine told me that she'll find a way to celebrate with me and the news made me extremely happy as she lives far away, and being a doctor she has no time.
I live in Washington, DC and we can now find lots of hand sanitizer and face mask but still have a hard time getting other staples including cleaning supplies. One nice thing I heard today was that I may be able to move in the next few months.

Girl I fully support the vitamin taking, I do have a good diet, better than before honestly, but taking vitamin D and C has been helping me a lot, idk if it helps with your mood but it does make me have a tad more energy despite being indoors :) Unfortunately in my country (in south america) you cannot find proper masks around, and many people have resulted in making their own, but its still very unsanitary, me and my family have to hold on to the ones we have and i wash them every other day. I'm glad youre taking care of yourself, I love your T-shirt i have the same one! xoxo

The last couple off months while we had to homeschool our kids here in Aus while working fulltime from home, was one of the most stressful times if my life. I only realised how bad it was now that I noticed how thin my hair got from falling out due to stress and I get slight anxiety when I just think about April and May😳 Its a bit better now but with the chaos in Victoria I am scared it will all happen again and thats very stressful for me, I am usually a very happy positive person! On a happy note, I am home now, about to tuck my kiddos into bed and watch a Korean drama😊 Stay safe. Also I know you probably don’t want to talk about the troubles you had but someone else might be going through the same thing and hearing how you got through it, may give that person some hope to get through their struggles too.💖
One happy thing that happen today was when the car that parked next to us helped with packing our groceries especially our bottled water. I thought he was a cart attendee but was a regular guy who bought his own groceries too. It was so hot today also.
I guess one nice thing from today was that my husband made us a very tasty dinner to eat while watching the latest episode of Snowpiercer. We've barely been out since early March so we've had to cook quite a bit and our skills have improved!
Sara, how did you know I've been looking for one of those UV sanitizers? We've been swabbing our phones with alcohol when we return from any public contact. Figured there ought to be a better way! You're very timely. :) I've been coming to grips with the fact that this virus will be a long haul issue. We live in NY far enough from the previous hotspots to not have immediate friends and family in immediate jeopardy, but close enough to take precautions seriously. One nice thing: I was able to have a socially distant and masked walk with my mom today. The sun was bright with blue skies and that hazy summer air. We came across a group of 4 huskie dogs lounging in the shade. They didn't bark or howl- but had active happy ears and watched us as we walked on the road. When we came closer, three of them gently approached to smell and wag there tails; they were careful not to leave the shade of the big maple tree in their yard. The last one stayed laying their head on the front paws, dozing. Very gentle pets, and so cute. 😄💞
As a suggestion, you could look for cpap uv sanitizers (if you want to fit something bigger - idk how big normal uv sanitizers get)! My household has one that is like a little drawer thats mainly marketed for a cpap, but you says you can sanitize phones and stuff in it too because it's just a drawer - ours specifically takes about 5 minutes, and cleans with uv and air! (just make sure it doesn't clean with water)

I’m proud of myself for watching them in Korean but it’s tricky to keep up with subtitles so I love that you have both! I’d love to see home video’s and even daily life video’s. Maybe even some fun ones such as assumptions your Korean friends have about Australia and vice versa, some more cooking videos or shopping ones. I'm sad that I won't be able to visit Korea again this Autumn as I wanted to, but I am hopeful for Autumn 2021. I have a friend who wishes to travel with me and together we are very much looking forward to travelling together and hoping to beat this pandemic. It's sad that governments don't properly equip and protect the welfare of healthcare workers. They do every trivial way of "honoring" them like stupid social media challenges and gestures during public conferences. I don't wish to compare hardships. I recognize that Australia's situation may be saddening for Sara. But I wanted to say that here in the Philippines, everything's an absolute pandemonium. The foreign ministry didn't ban travellers coming from China until we reached numerous cases. At 100 cases, schools have been shut for the entire school year(we only had roughly a month left) and yet here we are at 52,000 cases with no less than 1500 new cases EVERYDAY over the past week and we're gearing up to open school through online classes and distance learning. We're a developing nation and the entire world knows about how slow the internet connection here is, and that makes distance education harder. Besides that, our Congress shut down a media platform over baseless accusations and personal vendettas of the congressmen-- at a time when people need information most. The president only speaks to the public via a prerecorded and edited video in unconvenient times(usually does it midnight) and what's worse he only talks about communist insurgents and other trivial matters. We also loaned out BILLIONS of dollars from many banks and yet we still are yet to see free swab testing, monetary/food aid, and an adjusted transportation system now that they decided to open up and revive the economy when workers dont have anything to ride to go to work. I could go on and on and still not be able to list down all the things that's just messed up about my country. You don’t need insurance, I’ve been going to the pharmacies for maybe 2 months and they stopped asking for insurance after a few weeks of rationing. I just give my ARC and I can get masks.
I was actually supposed to vacation in Seoul this May.... But that obviously got cancelled and now the gov in the US is doing everything they can to make this situation worse. So I'm hopeful that in Fall 2021 I'll be able to go... maybe :)
I've been wanting to purchase a lara puff make since you reviewed them last year but I have never been able to find a way to get it shipped to the US, then the pandemic happened and it's impossible to even get one anymore
I was really sick in the beginning of March (have no idea what I had, but had most corona symptoms). Then we were in self-isolation for 2 and a half months. My hair started falling out in crazy amounts, I was really worried. Turns out I was pretty deficient in Vitamin D3! Take your vitamins guys, they really do help with your immune system! If you can, go outside as much as possible - if you have a yard, great! Just make sure to keep a distance from people! 🥰
I live in a state that has constant rising cases. It’s insane. People are pitching fits cause they have to wear a mask. I’m immunocompromised and my work remotely privileges expire next week. I’m legitimately terrified.

I've used the same wipes (fellow Aussie!) on my iphone many many times, even before covid, and it hasn't done any damage!

I live in Washington, DC and we can now find lots of hand sanitizer and face mask but still have a hard time getting other staples including cleaning supplies. One nice thing I heard today was that I may be able to move in the next few months.

Girl I fully support the vitamin taking, I do have a good diet, better than before honestly, but taking vitamin D and C has been helping me a lot, idk if it helps with your mood but it does make me have a tad more energy despite being indoors :)
Unfortunately in my country (in south america) you cannot find proper masks around, and many people have resulted in making their own, but its still very unsanitary, me and my family have to hold on to the ones we have and i wash them every other day.

The last couple off months while we had to homeschool our kids here in Aus while working fulltime from home, was one of the most stressful times if my life. I only realised how bad it was now that I noticed how thin my hair got from falling out due to stress and I get slight anxiety when I just think about April and May😳 Its a bit better now but with the chaos in Victoria I am scared it will all happen again and thats very stressful for me, I am usually a very happy positive person! On a happy note, I am home now, about to tuck my kiddos into bed and watch a Korean drama😊 Stay safe. Also I know you probably don’t want to talk about the troubles you had but someone else might be going through the same thing and hearing how you got through it, may give that person some hope to get through their struggles too.💖
One happy thing that happen today was when the car that parked next to us helped with packing our groceries especially our bottled water. I thought he was a cart attendee but was a regular guy who bought his own groceries too. It was so hot today also.
I guess one nice thing from today was that my husband made us a very tasty dinner to eat while watching the latest episode of Snowpiercer. We've barely been out since early March so we've had to cook quite a bit and our skills have improved!

Sara, how did you know I've been looking for one of those UV sanitizers? We've been swabbing our phones with alcohol when we return from any public contact. Figured there ought to be a better way! You're very timely. :) I've been coming to grips with the fact that this virus will be a long haul issue. We live in NY far enough from the previous hotspots to not have immediate friends and family in immediate jeopardy, but close enough to take precautions seriously.
One nice thing: I was able to have a socially distant and masked walk with my mom today. The sun was bright with blue skies and that hazy summer air. We came across a group of 4 huskie dogs lounging in the shade. They didn't bark or howl- but had active happy ears and watched us as we walked on the road. When we came closer, three of them gently approached to smell and wag there tails; they were careful not to leave the shade of the big maple tree in their yard. The last one stayed laying their head on the front paws, dozing. Very gentle pets, and so cute. 😄💞
As a suggestion, you could look for cpap uv sanitizers (if you want to fit something bigger - idk how big normal uv sanitizers get)! My household has one that is like a little drawer thats mainly marketed for a cpap, but you says you can sanitize phones and stuff in it too because it's just a drawer - ours specifically takes about 5 minutes, and cleans with uv and air! (just make sure it doesn't clean with water)

I'm sad that I won't be able to visit Korea again this Autumn as I wanted to, but I am hopeful for Autumn 2021. I have a friend who wishes to travel with me and together we are very much looking forward to travelling together and hoping to beat this pandemic. We still cannot believe it has gotten this bad, especially here in the US. We are hoping people will work together and try to beat this. It's sad that governments don't properly equip and protect the welfare of healthcare workers. They do every trivial way of "honoring" them like stupid social media challenges and gestures during public conferences.
I don't wish to compare hardships. I recognize that Australia's situation may be saddening for Sara. But I wanted to say that here in the Philippines, everything's an absolute pandemonium. The foreign ministry didn't ban travellers coming from China until we reached numerous cases. At 100 cases, schools have been shut for the entire school year(we only had roughly a month left) and yet here we are at 52,000 cases with no less than 1500 new cases EVERYDAY over the past week and we're gearing up to open school through online classes and distance learning. We're a developing nation and the entire world knows about how slow the internet connection here is, and that makes distance education harder. Besides that, our Congress shut down a media platform over baseless accusations and personal vendettas of the congressmen-- at a time when people need information most. The president only speaks to the public via a prerecorded and edited video in unconvenient times(usually does it midnight) and what's worse he only talks about communist insurgents and other trivial matters. We also loaned out BILLIONS of dollars from many banks and yet we still are yet to see free swab testing, monetary/food aid, and an adjusted transportation system now that they decided to open up and revive the economy when workers dont have anything to ride to go to work.
I could go on and on and still not be able to list down all the things that's just messed up about my country. I can only ask for your prayers and sympathy and I hope all of you are doing better.

I sanitize my phone with 2:1 alcohol (91%)/water mix and spray on my phone then wipe with paper towel. A lot better and it doesn't leave streaks.

My hair started falling out in crazy amounts, I was really worried. Turns out I was pretty deficient in Vitamin D3!
Take your vitamins guys, they really do help with your immune system! If you can, go outside as much as possible - if you have a yard, great! Just make sure to keep a distance from people!
