Installed my kit today. Sounds great. For reference, if you dont have a lift and your doing this with jack and stands, dont even try and remove the old exhaust intact. Not enough room so i just chopped it in half.
Its definetly possible to remove the oem exhaust while the truck is on the ground
I have my ‘19 Ram straight piped right now and was wanting to put a muffler on it. I had in mind going with another company’s muffler…until I saw this video! Wow!! You sold me. I am definitely going with this setup!

I think mufflers like carven, the tone sounds similar to muffler deletes in the sense it has that raw type idle and growl. But I noticed it's not as deep of rumble as the mahnapacks on my ram. Debating switching from dual carven to single carven to make it louder, or switch to a single magnapack, where my other ram has dual magnapacks. Both with middle side exit
If you have a dual set up right now and planing on switching it to a single pipe it won't be louder. To make your dual set up a TRUE DUAL set up you will need a prober conversation for the exhaust to flow correctly so an X-PIPE is what you should look into. not an h-pipe or those small tiny "x-pipes" the muffler shops have. check out our x-pipe to enhance the tone of your RAM rocking the Carven-R mufflers. @@CarvenExhaust my dual setup is only a catback. Two pipes into one and back into two each with a carven muffler. Its louder with one muffler split into duals. I cut off the whole system and did a single 3 inch pipe to single magnapack muffler. It's louder than the dual carven. And I have a cutout that opens to a borla atak muffler. The link you sent doesn't work for the ypipe

This is something I've been wanting to do. A lilt friendly competition wont hurt no one.
I have a 2019 limited with a carven competitor series cat back exhaust, however it is one of the earlier kits as I’ve had it installed over a year, it does not have the ball style exhaust tips ( oem) . I have not been able to nor have exhaust shops been able to get the tips to sit straight in the cutouts on the bumper, either one or both are too close to the edge and very noticeable. I’ve loosened, retightened, removed, reinstalled and asked for help from professional exhaust shop to no avail without cutting/ welding. I love the sound, and performance, but the look is disappointing... can you offer some insight as to what I may do to fix the problem without completely replacing or cutting and welding?

When comparing the videos for your cat-back system video vs your replacement muffler with 5" tips video the tips on the cat-back version stick out much more past the bumper than with the muffler + tips setup. Is this adjustable or has it been changed for the 2022 trucks?
Hasn't been changed and the tips are adjustable only moving side to side and up and down not forward and backwards.
Is there a option for 153.5 wheel base?

Unfortunately no, we won't go back and make a full cat-back on the 2009-2018 Ram 1500.
I have the cut and clamp version for my Ram and the tips are off about 1/2 inch or more. I've tried everything to try to fix it and emailed you guys, but never heard back.

I needed this video!......I have a 19 Ram Bighorn with flowmaster super 10 res delete, any ideas if this Carven cat back set up is louder? Also been looking at the Borla ATAK series but that $1300 price tag has slowed me down.... I’d love opinions from whomever💯

@@CarvenExhaust well ive bought 5 or 6 mufflers from you so far lol between my 3 trucks ive been experimenting back and forth lol I have a 2019 challenger 392 scat pack shaker, I paid 1400 for the magnaflow performance catback (thats what I had previously on my 2009 srt8, and lost it in a rollover accident) so I always wanted the same system back. It sounds great but its very smooth and refined low tone. I kinda want deeper but im not sure if the tr is gonna be too raspy/ more barky sound. They almost give it a diesel sound during idle, and I think the r series cackles alot and sounds almost like no muffler. My full length exhaust cackled alot but now it doesn't once I switched to middle side exit. I like deep rumble vs loud cackle. The tr series how can I get it as deep as possible. Smaller diameter pipe? Single muffler , single pipe? Long exhaust or short. I switched to middle side exit so I could hear it better while driving. I do have a set of electric cutouts too, not sure if they leak or have issues after time like ive heard.
Another question of topic would be muffler placement. Right at the rear or in the middle if your looking to get that deep rumble you cam feel in your chest. I find the dual magnapacks on my 07 ram 5.7 are deep and loud right away around 2000 rpm, I compared it to 2017 ram that has 3 inch single factory pipe to ypipe and dual csrvem mufflers. It was louder when the tailpipes were all the way to the bumper cutouts, I couldn't hear that growl like I wanted to while driving. So I cut half it off and thought it would be a deeper louder growl but its a little less than before. More pipe gives it deeper tone I guess. Could i go to a 2.5 inch single pipe all the way instead of 3 inch to dual 2.5s.
Is this the "Competitor" series? I'm trying to figure out which system to buy for my 2021 Ram.
This will be equivalent to our competitor series kits but the 2019-2021 RAM 1500 only have one option to choose from so thats why we just call it the Cat-Back Exhaust System.

How’s the drive with this catback? I have super 10 with a resonator delete on my 19 Rebel and my only issue with it is that it feels like it’s a tad bit laggy when you put your foot on the pedal.
The drive is awesome we took this truck all the way to San Diego and back(corona ca) and honestly no drone in cab we can talk perfectly fine with and without a/c on or radio.

This kit pops so removing the front ones will definitely make your truck extremely loud.

Depends what sound you’re going for, the Borla s type would give it a much more refined and deep tone while these carven r’s are going to be louder and with a higher pitch exhaust note. Borla s type is more comparable to the carven tr series where the goal is more of a refined tone while the carven r series is more comparable to Borla ataks where the goal is the have as much loudness as possible while still keeping a good tone

Can this still fit a truck if the hangers where cut off?
The way we bend the pipes it will nearly be impossible to fit any other vehicle unless its a RAM 1500 2019-2021

Yes they can but you will need to make sure from the beginning of the exhaust that everything is pulled forward towards the engine.

The exhaust tips look too short (the large diameter part) The skinny part is visible which isn't a good look.
But it sounds very good.

We have yet to dyne our products. Customers have dyne there vehicles after adding our cat back kits and all have said they gain HP

RAM is a V8 so compared to the V6 Tacoma it might be slight louder in cab.

@Carven Exhaust Inc looks like other exhaust systems work with quad/crewcab trucks which tells me the exhaust is the same length. so I assume yours would too
@availingfaith no I did not but thinking about it, it will probably fit. I think the only difference is the length in pipe after the cat where it meets the flange to the rest of the exhaust. Everywhere past that is more than likely the same length so it should fit. If that makes sense.
@availingfaith I haven't bought a system yet! I'd love to get the Carven. I plan on getting a system very soon and it's either going to be the carven cat back or the AWE cat back! I'm trying to work with AWE or carven on getting a system to install and review and hopefully a discount code for folks to use as well! So far AWE is the only one that's acknowledged it so we will see!

We provided all the nuts and bolts as well as clamps for the cat backExhaust kit. The only clamps you are reusing are the OEM Exhaust Tip clamps.
I know this road, K&B engineering is at the end of that road.
Did I hear you say that this has a different muffler then the cut and clamp version? how do the two differ
the size diameter of the piece that pitches into the tail pipes. the cut and clamp is expanded to fit the hem 2.75 inch tubing on the OE tail pipes and the cat back is expanded to 3.00 inch for the Carven Tailpipes.

I just got my non full cat back kit. I got the mid delete competitor with 5" tips. The install was super easy even without a lift. My only thing with the system is that it does not matter if I had an extra set of hands or not the clamps would not totally seal on the tips creating an exhaust leak. Went to an exhaust shop, they checked the torque specs and install and all looked good. Ended up cutting the two rear resonators out and having them welded in. Just feedback. Overall I love this kit and sound so much it's insane. I dont even turn my radio on anymore. Again just fyi. If you want aggressive this is the kit. Installing there 5" exhaust tips on my wife's 18 charger scat pack 6.4l and cannot wait to hear what they make hers sound like!
