If this airport were to be in the West or North, those empty shops would have been snapped up by Igbo business people. Why don't we have confidence in ourselves?
Also there is not standard airport check-in counters with display screens above. What I see are 3 village shop counters that look like the airlines take them away with them after check-in. The airport is far below start comparable to the war time Uli Airport.

One good thing about this airport is it has a massive landmass and was designed for Aerotropolis unlike other airports. I heard that the FG refused to grant the full category for this airport which is category 9 and I dunno if that has been granted. A lot more work need to be done. There is need for a second terminal to be able to accommodate the passenger traffic for International airlines. Good job Chinedu, but you need to improve in some areas:
Try to verify your facts. 3 Zeigler fire fighting vehicles were delivered. The airport terminal has 4 elevators. There are 3 escalators. You didn't mention that there are 40 shops spaces available for rent. One called Stanel is operational. There is are water borehole and a treatment plant. There are several standby generators.
The downside in the airport is there are not enough service counters and terminal space. There also needs more baggage handling carousels.
The Anambra state government needs to maintain its roads. The beautiful road built by the last administration is covered with sand and grass is overtaking the mid section of the road. This is where visitors get their first impression. This indiscriminate dumping of sand is typical throughout Anambra state. I am disappointed with Soludo in terms of maintenance. Maybe he is falling victim to sycophants like Obiano. We are not going to attract investors with such a horrible environment.

    Thanks @chinedu on this.
What I see here is a beutifull and highly sufiscated airport in anambra state.
But the airport lacks what am always preaching about anambra state govt.look at the entrance road that entered the airport.
Why ist that anambra state finds it difficult to maintain there things, look at how red sands on a newly constructed roads without evacuation or sweeping 🧹,why ist that they can't cut the grases at the middle of the roads regularly,is like the govt dnt knw that an airport is the gate way for any country or state entry, why ist unkept like this, the red sands on the roads can contribute to the damaging of the ashfalt.
Secondly the airport is highly sufiscated with the equipment in there, but the inside still look unfinished,no decorations , nothing.
And it was poorly lighted ,inside terminal needs more yellow lighting,it looks dark in the day.
But the airport is highly commendable cos of its sofiscation .
We can do better than this.
Let's the start govt start building a habit in of maintenance in the state, they always like to see things spoiled b4 maintenance which is very bad.
And lastly why ist that the state govt can't take over the reconstruction the other one lane of awka -Onitsha express way to the standard than waiting for federal government that can't do it in next 5yrs.this one lane done took the fed govt for about 20 something yr to put it up.
If we must succeed as people our govt should stop the habit of waiting for the fed govt b4 they can change our environment.
Nd:Above all ,the airport needs a massive inside decoration and more beutifull lightings.
    My observations,thank you.

Thank you Steve for your commendation. Like we know, the state government can construct Federal roads anywhere. It only needs notification, when done the money will be reimbursed.
