- This project was a huge undertaking but needed to be done. My brother and sister in-law's bathroom was in need of a massive upgrade. In this video we go over the process start to finish of how we transformed their bathroom into a spa-like oasis with a steam shower, bidet toilet and so much more!

Killer video & project, just wish I could see some details of the Steam Machine Install.
Came out awesome! Great job guys 👏
Cannot believe you did not remove that little bit of old floor tile. You practically replaced EVERYTHING ELSE.
he tiled over it no? Honestly you're saving yourself at least a days work and the waste, I don't hold it against him.
Always remove what was there unless its on the foundation slab other wise remove it to see what the ply wood underneath looks like and if it need to be replaced. But excellent renovation though
@@n.reidreid6452 I do not think he is going to have any rotten wood rot…. This is a slab
@@andrewbrown1493 Cool then he is all set
Great job, love the transformation 😁
Awesome job. Bathroom looks great. 👌🏽
Woooo so amazing and beautifull bath room
Thanks so much for great sharing 💕💕💕
Came put really nice. Great job
That is one big project. Looks good.
one of the best diy s I've seen! looks pro!
Looks great! strong work!
Very nice, bud. Came out great!
Wow ! Your washroom look amazing v beautifully done v v cosy love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Looks awesome!
Nicely done!
Wow. Looks nice!!
Half wall is a very good idea
Awesome work!!!!!
Great work!
You did an amazing job ❤
beautiful !
Nice setup. The quiet fans always concern me because what if someone hears me poopin?
You did a great job, thxs for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it
I work in Construction... now i really want to try this out
Looks good. I've been wanting to do the same design with the shower at my house.
Double check me on this for your state since I'm in a different one. Verify your light switch is not too close to your water source. Since the second sink was added to the vanity your water source moved closer to the light switch, making it closer than 36in, which is not to code unless it's got a GFCI. I can't tell from the video if that switch does or not. Not saying you did anything wrong, just don't want anyone getting electrocuted. Double check that though for your state. Didn't see a GFCI on the outlet behind the toilet either. Did you run that in series with the existing GFCI next to the mirror?
Great work though. Definitely agree with you sweating copper is for a pro!
Easy to use and install.
Nice work
Very nice 👌
So beautiful, I just bought a house, did kitchen ish , needs a bathroom, with I could do it myself. I'm only handy with a glue gun. But this inspired me it's beautiful 😍 🤩 👌
Why not use pex for everything? I didn't see anything regarding a steam generator? How is this a steam shower?
Yes, I didn't see that either.
Buen trabajo 👍🏽
Good job! 👍
Thanks!
Enjoyed this video! What happened to the cabinet space? Was this utilized to house the steam generator?
Amazing work. Which ceiling fan did you purchase? Also, what was the trim for the baseboards and the trim on the tile edges? Thanks :)
Phil Gambino Approved
Oh would I love to have a steam shower!
Great video this is exactly the shower I am trying to create. Can you tell me did you add a downlight in the shower itself?
cool bathroom
Could you please link below which exhaust fan and shower light you used? I see they have multiple for the same brand. Thank you.
You’ve done an incredible job. 🤩🤩🤩 I do have question, however. Where did you install the generator? For mine, I’d planned to install it under the bench, but after Googling steam showers, I wasn’t confident about my plan. Thanks!
Who mades the dust catcher that you used to cut out the hole for your can light?
Did you need a dedicated 240v line for the steam generator?
You had the same shower and about the same size bathroom as ours looks like and you did the things I want to do! Even the same mirrors. Can you come over to West Michigan and tackle our master now?
Wow amazing! How long did this project take?
Looks awesome man. My questions is how much does/did this cost. Kind of thing I want to do to a bathroom when I own my own home.
i would say if you’re doing all the work around 7.5k for materials. if you pay labor and materials around 14k is what i would charge. here in texas
I love the tile choice but I can't find it on the Home Depot website. Do you have a link? Thank you
Nicely done. Can you share the room dimensions and the shower dimensions? I'd like to see what space I need to pull off a similar bath layout.
Thank you. The room is roughly 10x10 and the shower is 3x5
@@rogueengineer thanks
Was there no vent for the vanity waste line?
Good 👍 job.. interesting
Thank you
Where did you located the steam motor and how was that’s set up
What are the measurements of the steam shower cabin? Thanks
You did that
Nice i like to have one
Great job. How did u ever learn todo all that. Why didn,t u just get a one piece steam showwr? So easier.. They crack I bet.
how long did this job take?
I am about to take on a Steam shower project. if you had one warning what would it be?
What steam kit was used?
Looks amazing! What did you use as the top cap on the knee wall? Thx.
Thanks. Thats a marble cap
could have put a shower niche in the retaining wall of the bench, to kill two birds with one stone haha
Nice craftmanship, I was just wondering why did you use that half corner wall at the left; seems the appearance would be nicer without it?
There is a bench on the other side to sit when using as a steam room
Make sense, I was not familiar with what that option involved; thanks and keep-up the good work!
Great job. What tile did you use? And man, I wished I had friends in every trade like you do lol
Same question for me regarding tiles!
Would you have felt uncomfortable using sharkbite push fittings instead of sweating the copper?
No I like sharkbite fittings but they get expensive.
What about the ceiling in the shower, should it be angled\tilted so the water\steam can go to the wall and don't drip from the top?
He did that and covered it in the video. 6 inch drop to be specific.
I’m always amazed at people who do this type of work. So much is involved. How long did it take from start to finish? Also, please wear good particulate masks cause that fiberglass and other materials are really bad for your health over long term exposure
You needed the joist hangers for a ceiling structure with no load?
Yea, it’s code
what's the sqft of your bathroom?
Normal pitch is quarter inch a foot
Let's hear the numbers............all-in, how much did this upgrade cost you. It looks beautiful.
Around 20k. If I paid someone to do it probably double at least
why didn't you do the pan first?
No vapor barrier ?
Union plumber get it straight 100% quality
Dude, copper is so easy.
Now has a job at dabs
👍🥰
What size was the shower?
3x5 saw it in another comment
why tile over tile takes 15 min to remove
It's over a concrete slab. Definitely more than 15mins. Plus we could use the extra height at the thresholds for a smooth transition.
Where is the steam?
LoL plumber NO NO NO!
I wonder who he's sponsored by!
9:10 You dont tile of existing tile because a 1/2" or more transition looks and performs like shit. Unless you like speed bumps in your doors ways, have way too much clearance aready or dont care about tripping.
Well there was a 1/2” transition and now it’s flat. So thanks
Is that low iron shower glass?
Yes it is
@@rogueengineer Might be a dumb question but How does the steam not escape from the top of the door?
How much did this cost ?
A few posts up he says 20k.
Greenboard in a shower. The DYI's signature install 🤭
"DYI"... The expert's signature spelling
@@rogueengineer
Non sequitur
Cute tho
Nice work despite the outdated design choices which kind of saddens me, why work so hard for a 15 year outdated decor :(
I don’t even need the steam shower I can just use my regular shower or my two personal steamers that I have
NO WAY YOU LEFT THE TILE
I actually like the bathroom more before. The shower is cool, but they should have removed the rest of the tile
Nice, except the toilet.
Yeah that should be in a water closet, no one wants to look at that thing
Just watched this video and it went "REALLY REALLY GOOD" but not really.😐
you only had rough out plumbing. just letting you know. cause you use the term like you know what you are talking about. but rough in is below slab or stubbed up to a location. rough out is setting it for the plumbing fixtures. setting it for plumbing height as it exits the wall. hence rough out. good try though
👍🏼
After seeing what he just built iam pretty sure he knows what he is talking about 😊
You can’t tile over existing tile. -says no one.
It’s okay to hire professionals. The cost can be worth the time you’ll save no question.
No need to constantly justify hiring them. Instead celebrate their talent and own hiring them out
100% agree.
After renovating three bathrooms myself I cannot agree more. I saved a lot of money and learned quite a bit in the process, but now I am finding my free time on the weekends to be too valuable to want to give up for long projects like these.
Lol u crazy u have to bond the floor with the floor gryp bet u that floor will start popping up before the year
I’ll say it! You know it! Wifes got a cute 🍑, congrats!
Type M pipe though....why?? I'd want my work to last more then 40 years. Not 10 or less. And even though nobody is gonna see the plumbers work....don't burn the wood.
thank you for the video. I'm happy to see it. Sadly I cant do it in my home. #stopthewar #standwithUkraine #closethesky
Man schluter is such a weird word
So now the bench becomes a niche. Omggggģg. So when using the bench the floor now becomes a niche and a safety hazardous. Seems more like a short cut, and we all know how those endup.
So much wrong with this install on the plumbing. When you went to install the plumbing for the vanity you used what looks like a sanitary tee on its side. That is illegal by code and will never drain right if both sinks are used at the same time. Sanitary tees can only be used on the vertical NEVER on the horizontal. Should have used a cross or double wye.
Also on those kohler skirted toilets it's easier to build the whole toilet then install it
Hey man. That's too much shit. I woulda told the home owners to get ahold of themselves. Judgement is close.
God im sick of being so negative when it comes to American's and design but bloody hell that has got the be the most basic, uninteresting, non-contemporary bathroom ive seen.
