    I'm perhaps one of the very few former firefighter/engineers' that preferred other brands, but this particular model as configured; is an absolute home run!

    I have never been a huge fan of mid mounts even thou they have many advantages, but this is super sweet & many attributes.

    I wish social media was around when I was still in the service. This truly allows us to see the engineering applications

    Can't wait to see the 5 you're building for Montreal Fire department

  • @centralnewyorkresponses7887

    Nice and unique body style for a department with a certain height and length requirement. Could also be good for a department on a tight budget so they could intergrate an engine and a ladder into one. It looks cool too. Keep it up Pierce.

    whats the longest ground ladder you can place into the rear of this truck? Ability to side stack ladders?

    • @FirebrewTV
      @FirebrewTV Před 6 lety

      They advertise a minimum of 170' ground ladder capacity. 35' easy, probably a 40' max. They may be able to engineer a side stack option, although that would add to the overall height and one of their selling points is the low clearance.

    Nice appliance. Have you heard of Bronco SkyLift F112 HLA. What is the highest building if the twin towers were still there that truck will not reach the top floor.

    • @baracktrump1410
      @baracktrump1410 Před 4 lety +1

      Tulsa purchased 5 E-One/Bronto Skylifts, 3 of them as recent as 2013, by 2017 (4 years) they were removed from service, hell 1 failed on live TV at a chemical fire, So Tulsa had to do an emergency order of 4 inventory Ladder Trucks from Pierce because the Brontos were not usable, Tulsa ordered 4 more from Pierce after the initial 4. The Brontos can do things other ladders can't but doesn't matter if they don't work.

    You have to jump off the turntable and walk along the body in order to egress. If there's snow or ice that's an easy way to break your neck. Cool design but has it's drawbacks
