I remember when GBL first started, I was an avid believer. But I started tracking my leads- turns out it really is close to 50/50 whether it's a positive or negative lead. It's mainly up to skills if you want to climb.
Stop the cap before it was balanced bc I was able to go on a 27 streak in a row years ago now I can’t even go more then 5 battles with out the hardest counter to my whole team
If anything, it proves that there is. But you can still find the win con as master Z did here.
I really like how you explain your reads, even if they're incorrect. I used to think I'd never get to the level where I could correctly predict the pokemon line up but showing your thought process, even if it's wrong, and still making it work fills me with so much hope and helps me out so much!
Been seeing this team SO MUCH lately, but stands out as a great team! Excellent showcase, one of the major themes that you showed when building a team is that "If your team cannot overcome a bad lead, it's probably not a good team". Those 9 wins showed that even though lead is lost, it's never fully over. Well played Zy!
How I gain elo: wait for ZyoniK to post a team and build a team that hard counters it

Another nice video with Charizard in it ! Charizard is obviously a fan favorite. In recent meta you can build up to a lot of great teams around him.

You should probably throw an ice punch vs altaria leads since you get to an ice punch before they get to a sky attack and you're free to switch out right after. Does more damage than Noctowl's Sky Attack, making the matchup vs your noctowl ss less comfortable.
I’ve been thinking about using power up punch and dynamic punch on my 4 star Medicham just for fun.

Dumb question, but how do you manage to read teams while under pressure/counting fast moves etc? I know the teams start to become less random when you're at a higher rank (I'm currently only on expert) so you kinda memorize the patterns and move counts eventually, but i usually get anxious and so focused I just forget to read what's in the back 😅

I’ve got a highly ranked noctowl and Charizard but no medicham :-(
Would a ground type work as a suitable replacement? Or something else? I was thinking shadow Quag or whiscash to deal with the steels/rocks/electrics? Or would another counter user like Scrafty/obstagoon/Vig/dubwool work better?
Do you think it’s worth it to build a non xl medicham? I can build a non xl but I’m very very far away from getting my xl built. Is it worth it or not?

Im running this kind of team except I use vig as an alternate for medi. Unfortunately i dont know when will I get myself a medicham 😢
I only have a few 15/14/15 medicham that i am able to power up for gl. Is this fine until i get enough xls for a better?

exactly my same thought...Zyonik was (rightfully) very confident about Charizard sweeping the backline after the double shield on Altaria, but that Swampert in end the seemed to catch him a bit off guard

dude im so tired of medicham and noctowl. Just the main Great League meta in general is so brain dead to play against. I run scrafty / ferrothorn / shadow charizard and while two of those are technically meta i almost never face other scrafty/shadow charizard. its like i'm facing sheep after sheep, using the same 5 or 6 pokemon every. single. time. i thought this was supposed to be the most balanced league??
If I had a Noctowl safe swap, I would face Walrein or Froslass 99% of the time

When you ha e PVPoke and you pick a team of 3 that covers each others weakness and theyre in top of the list; it cant really be someones team. Its not creative. Its not unheard of. Its not difficult to figure out.🙄
