I think the more complicated it is to transform, the better(it's a fun challenge). Adult collectors are the ones purchasing these, so I think they should do whatever it takes to make it as accurate to the character as possible.

I actually love the bayformers soundwave look. Maybe he should have the visor face but his overall look with those light up blue circles was great

This and La Hire are one of those 3rd party movie figures that can easily be considered part of MPM and even perfect MPM figure representation of them.

These are the kinds of toys Hasbro and Takara see and think, "Well fuck."
This is probably the most well done figure at all. No over stacking, no large backpack that makes up half it's weight, very movie accurate, just really well engineered.

Oh I thought the photo you posted was just a Studio Series Soundwave with an upgrade kit and you cleverly posed the MPM Bumblebee to look in scale with him. Wasn't expecting a brand new figure, nice.

I’ve been watching this channel (PrimeVsPrime) for a while now and personally I’m the biggest fan of the transformer reviews and the figures you get aren’t just like the main brands such as Hasbro or Takara, you get brands I’ve never even heard of and they’re making some of the best figures out there that also transform while packing in as much detail as possible, you don’t go halfway with your reviews, you go 100% and review good quality figures and give really in-depth reviews and descriptions of everything you get and that’s something that’s hard to find now. Keep up the amazing work, reviews, and everything. For people who like transformers reviews and such your a person to go to but sadly in my opinion doesn’t get enough attention so hopefully that happens one day. Hope you see this and if you do, stay safe and have a good one, but also thanks for putting in so much work into your reviews and not half a**ing it, again something you sadly don’t see often anymore. You keep up what your doing, you are and have got something special here. 👏👍👏👍👏👍

Even though this is not a masterpiece figure, it still scales with barricade and bumblebee very well and accurate. That’s freaking awesome. Gosh I love these toys😁😁😁😁❤️

there are two versions one comes with both and one comes with just lazerbeak.

I was excited for this figure the moment I saw promo pictures of it. Funnily enough, I actually completely forgot this figure was even a thing until sometime around its release, but I feel like it helped me to appreciate it a bit more. I also read a while ago on the TFW2005 message boards that there was another company doing a Masterpiece dark of the Moon Soundwave, but apparently it was scrapped entirely because the guy behind it is a piece of shit. Exactly what kind of piece of shit he turned out to be I cannot recall for the life of me, but all I know is that this is the only MPM DotM Soundwave we might ever get. Which is fine by me, honestly. This thing surpassed my expectations, and it will definitely fit in nicely with my future collection.
I'm reaalllllyyy impressed with this guy, I'm really tempted to get him even though I don't have any MPMs or other 3rd party movie stuff! Edit: He's sold out now, gonna have to wait until he's available elsewhere 😔

I don’t know I kinda prefer the SS soundwave, while this one is more movie accurate, I just can’t help my self with how satisfying the SS one is, ravage and laserbeak definitely are better then any rendition of them we got, but soundwave here is just too movie accurate, the detail is impressive but I love the proportions of the SS one more, but that’s just me and of course fantastic review as always

Outstanding figure overall, even though Human Alliance with the interior of the car still has a place in my collection.

I feel like it'd have been better if the car itself was a nice dark blue instead of the generic silver, but, I agree.

I would really like to see one from the dotm game. I thought that version of soundwave looked very cool and is my favorite soundwave design and in fact my favorite bayformer design ever.
This is so gorgeous. And man, that Human Alliance Soundwave looks so bad lol, it literally looks like they designed the upper torso and arms and then remembered 'shit, wait, he's got a lower body too...' and then tried to shoehorn some hips and legs into the design.
Man I hope Newage makes a Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave based off of the 2009 action figure
You forgot to expand his upper arms to make them bulkier, I didn't notice this step either on my figure until I saw emgo do it in his video.
I'd position the doors on his back in a V shape, it really accentuated his muscular design in the movie

Just can’t believe the engineering that goes into this figures. No clue why kids don’t collect these more then do even with price, I rem at my young age in 80 working cutting grass and snow shoveling etc just to make money to buy by transformers and G.I. joes when younger. Shame only people who seem to still live these figures are adults now. I’m just still amazed at the engineering of it.

I’d argue that execution scene was Soundwave at his absolute worst, seconded only by the very next scene he’s in where he does fuck all and dies, and that’s half of his scenes in the movie.
I have no idea how taking a bunch of his enemies prisoner when his leader ordered them all to be killed by Starscream 5 minutes prior, finally having some sense knocked into him by a goddamn human, and undergoing the most painfully drawn out execution ever, is Soundwave “at his best”.
DotM Soundwave was an absolute moron, he should have stayed in space.

Yeah, thier design looks so good. However it's still in the cgi phase tho. There were couple figures in the past looks very good in cgi, but not as good when it got produced.

This is so good, finally a good figure where the doors are butterfly doors.
It looks amazing and definitely worth picking up if you're into movie masterpieces. I might be in the minority here though by saying that I prefer the look of the studio series over this one. The studio series has better proportions and looks way more accurate in my opinion, minus the back kibble.
